She loves drinking water and can drink the whole cup at one go. If you take it away when she's not yet done, she will cry! She will hold it tightly away from your grab. :)
She is friendly towards strangers, especially small kids. She will go near them and try to touch them or give them her toys. :) Some kids were afraid of her. Arghhh asian!! I'm sure american kids will be friendly towards her.
One night, I took Jasmine with me to meet Nicole at Starbucks Empire on a possible job opening. Jasmine being overly friendly, walked towards strangers who are foreigners, like arabians, and she refused to come back to me! They returned her to me few times and that few times she went back to them. They love her so much they asked me for permission to take a photo with her.Twice this month, Joshua was at home with her, and she did these.
Threw book out of the window. -_-
She also threw my sebamed moisturiser through the banister and broke the lid.
She is now an expert in taking things from our bedside tables. Whatever we put near the edge would be in her hands. Handphone, charger wire, tissue box, books, hair clip, hand cream.... I rearranged my bedside table to keep the small items away from the little hands.
Early of the month, she lao-sai for about a week. One day she will poo about 3-4 times. We can't figure out what in her diet caused this. Thank God she recovered without any medication.
We realised she could wear clip bow already! So I started putting on the clip bow on her. This beautiful clip bow was her full moon present from Wei Chee. I tried to clip her back hair to form a tiny pony tail too. :P
And she wore the same bow to a wedding but we lost it at the zoo in Muar.
That night, at the wedding dinner, we bumped into Lian. Apparently, Edwin Ong's parents attends same church as Lian. Lian was happy to see Jasmine too.
This month, a few online articles kept stressing on importance of a good car seat to ensure our baby's safety. We decided this is a non-negotiable. We can use a cheap stroller, cheap baby clothes, but a car seat will be the last we will save money on. We've been using a second hand car seat given by Jade's cousin and it is a local brand Sweet Cherry. Honestly it doesn't look like a good car seat to me so we decided to buy a new one. That night itself we went to Subang Parade, saw this Britax First Class car seat (for babies up to 18kg) was on 40%, we paid RM720 and took it home. We got home at about 11pm and Joshua had to work on setting it up, changing the Joie car seat from Forte to Myvi and put this new one in Forte. A lot of work involved but is worthwhile!
The next morning we put her in to try out her new ride. :) :) She rock it the gangster style.
We also changed her back to rear facing after few months of front facing. I tied a small toy hanging down from the window handle for some entertainment. She was perfectly fine! God is so good!
She loves to do fly kissing. Just ask her to "sayang" she will do the kiss sound. :)
She also knows when we're taking a photo of her! :) She is also getting better at posing for photos. :D
She continues to dance, and now she could follow us to dance around living room. She loves to dance.... and she can clap according to the beat. :)
She started to say some words - uh oh was already a common word. She now loves to say "bah bah" to anything we ask. Say "Mummy", "Bah Bah'. Say "Daddy", "Bah Bah". Say "Bye bye', "Bah Bah" or "Boh Boh". She also mumbles her own words I still can't decode them! :D
She now can understand us so much more. She knows how to bring things to us eg "give me your pacifier" "pass me the book" "come put the milk into the bag" "stand up" "hands up" "sit down"
Very fond of the curtain. Likes to hide herself behind them and laugh to herself. Sometimes she also takes the napkin to cover her face and started to walk around living room, she found it very funny when we "discover" her under the napkin.
When we took her to Ikea. She saw some kids running about on the stage. She got very interested so Joshua took her there. She just stood and observe the running kids.
I got tired out rocking her to sleep at night, so we unofficially started sleep training. I will feed her, read a book, feed her and rock a little.. then put her into the cot. She would stand and asked to be carried, but we keep asking her to lie down and sleep... this repeats and I eventually leave the room. She would cry for a while, eg 5 minutes then I will return to the room and repeat the same - "Jasmine, sleep.. lie down and sleep" I will go out again, she cries and I go back in again. Until she is all tire out, she eventually knocked out. :) It's a painful start but she is getting better and better at it. I'm so proud of her. :) But we had to stop all these when window renovation started on Christmas Eve Eve.........
We went back to Muar this month and she walked around the house a lot more.
And sitting on the small chair.
We bought her a remote controlled thomas train from warehouse sales. She was so smart she knew Joshua was controlling the moving train with the few buttons in his hand. @.@ So here she is navigating the train. :)
This is how she would do in order to sit on the chair. :)
She loves the rocking chair too. Ah Ma loves to put her on the chair and rock her. :)
I let her walk at the back garden too. When I was sad that we couldn't bring Jasmine home to celebrate CNY 2014, mummy told me it's ok because when she comes for CNY 2015 she would be running about at her back garden. :) And she is close to running already, few more months! :D
Bath time with Ah Ma is always a highlight of her day!
Loves the shower. She totally enjoy having water splash down from her head!
Look at that priceless smile. :) I call it the Bath Smile. :)
My brother took us to the mini zoo in Muar owned by their Hong Seng client.
We introduced her to different animals.
It was a hot and humid day but I love that she gets her outdoor fun.
Includes getting to know guinea pigs.
And retired race horses.
She also started pointing randomly.
This trip back to Muar, we forgot her diapers... so had to buy a pack from Econsave.
In church, she likes to walk around freely. She walks to babies of similar age, to touch them. If they are eating, she will look like she's queueing up for their food too.We introduced her to different animals.

My brother is so loving he helped to block out the sun from her little face. :)
She is loved by many! :)She also started pointing randomly.

We finally set up our christmas tree! One night I was determined to do it so I worked till 1am. And to stop her little hands from exploring the tree, I put wooden chairs around it. It helps but not until she found a way to squeeze through. Must pkeep an eye on her.. all the time... She had pulled out a few ornaments and broken one.
That day, Joshua had to go to Summit for christmas caroling. We followed too, hoping it won't take long. The level 4 was too dusty with unfinished cement works so we waited at Ace Hardware. She was already very sleepy so I just put her on my shoulder and she fell asleep in the shop.
Very considerate, she slept in her stroller while I walk through different lanes, buying some stuffs here and there for the house.
We started the routine of wearing shoes at the staircase. She now knows when she sits down and we place the shoes on the floor is time to wear shoes. She would lift up her little feet for us to put on socks and shoes.
Middle of the month, she had fever, as high as 38 degrees and vomitted few times. We finally on 14 December discovered her 8th & 9th tooth! One on upper gum and one on lower gum. The one on upper gum is located one teeth's space away.
Few days later, I discovered the 10th tooth! Another one on upper gum, the other side. Yes it hurts when breastfeeding! I had to keep reminding her not to bite me.
She continues to scream this month and especially when she's frustrated, like toys taken away from her or she's not allowed to touch certain things.
One day I was home with her alone, I spotted her trying to shit, we were upstairs and the potty was downstairs. I just put her on our toilet bowl, she didn't shit but she did manage to urine into the toilet bowl! :D
On Christmas Eve Eve, we prepared the house for little renovation i.e. polishing drum room floor & change back windows.
I was able to keep her at Lian's for half day while I pull out all the furnitures from drum room.
When I went to pick her up. She just poo-ed in her pants so Lian was washing her up. She had lots of audiences. :)
4 of these kids was going to stop coming to Lian's starting 2015 so I was a little emotional. :) I like Jasmine growing up with so many kids but inevitable that the parents had other plans for these adorable kids.
They especially the girls adore Jasmine a lot.... Shaynee taught her to clap etc... And Jasmine likes to bite Ashley.
Anyway I took her home, and our house is getting chaotic. She had to bear with us.
Floor polished that afternoon but this is really nothing compared to what's to come.
We prepped the place with plastic drop cloth hoping to keep dust within the back only....
Covered as many things as possible.
One thing I forgot was to PROTECT OUR FLOOR!!! I was having a fight with Joshua when he refused to remove the curtain rods L brackets!! After that my thoughts were all messed up so I completely miss out on the floor!
As I speak I got depressed. It was only Joshua & Jasmine at home when the windows were demolished. No one mention about the floor and yes our laminated floors were SCRATCHED.
I found 15 scratched area on Jasmine's room floor. It's really painful. The windows were only installed by Christmas Eve evening. Then the factory workers who were totally amateurs did the cement around the window frames until 10.30pm. I had to take Jasmine to Shin Wee's house for Christmas Eve party.
To hide her from the dust. We stayed up till almost 11pm. Joshua was home busy cleaning the kitchen floor... while the workers rush the cement job upstairs. Not to forget it was raining! It's a bad weather to be doing cement works but we had no choice, we are living there and we must have secured windows before we sleep.
This room becomes our haven throughout the 3 weeks renovation. Thank God this room is huge.
We basically from Christmas service rushed to buy paint & frosting from Ace Hardware & rushed home to let the workers back in to touch up on the indoor walls and paint the exterior walls. They did a LOUSY LOUSY LOUSY job!! We didn't pay anything but we rather pay thousands to get the job well done without big mess to clear and mistakes that cannot be corrected without another big mess! It's so depressing I didn't want to take photos to remember, I only took this one of Jasmine playing in the haven. She had to stay in this room till she got really bored. We feel sorry for her.
I worked my ass off on Christmas day till almost 2am, painted some parts of the wall in Jasmine's room. Am changing the colour from skylight to moonlight sonata so we can save money from buying another can of paint. Cost me RM40 can you imagine!
Post Christmas day I am off so I worked to paint as much as I can. I completed painting upstairs when Joshua finally returned home. Downstairs was still work in progress. The workers were in to touch up on exterior paint. They did some of it from inside and he dripped paint on my freshly painted wall!!! Stupid guy from Nepal!!!!! Anyway Joshua helped a bit but we had to rush for a flight to Alor Setar. The cab was outside our house at 6.30pm. I couldn't get the kitchen wall painted in time so I leave everything as is and hopped into the shower. Right after shower I didn't even have time to blow my hair or anything we had to get into the cab already. -_- Never have I felt so stress. The house had no grills for all the back windows and one kitchen light was burnt. Joshua armed the house... and guess what... on Saturday we receive phone call that our house alarm went off. The whole alarm system had been messed up so we could not un-arm with our phone at all. My cousin got his worker to pull out the wire from the external alarm but the internal one went on and on till next morning. The toilet windows were shut from outside but we believe our nearby neighbours were surely affected. We just avoid eye contact on the day we returned home.
We completed the kitchen wall on the Monday we are home and pasted frosting so we have more privacy. We also got maids to come clean the house with the messy furnitures around. They did all they could and things really got much better.... so thankful for them. :) Leah and Tiya. RM60 for 2 hours.
But we still had to stay in the masterbedroom for 3 weeks until 13 January..... the day the grills were up and we hung up the curtains. We have both agreed. No. More. Renovation. No. More.
Jasmine had been waking up a lot more often and crying loudly for no reasons... so this really affected us all. We couldn't wait for life to go back to NORMAL. Before the renovation, she was able to sleep by herself... and only wakes up once at night! Yooohhh!!!
Anyway back in Alor Setar, Jasmine got intimidated by Joshua's family dog winnie who is very aggressive and passionate especially when it licked her little feet, but soon she overcomed her fear and started waving at it, pointing at it and even offering her toy to it. :)
She now says "Wow wow" without opening her mouth!
She now says "Wow wow" without opening her mouth!
This is the day we returned from Alor Setar. Arrive at about 11pm. She slept all the way home. We changed her into pyjamas and she continued sleeping. :)
We were thankful we could hide in Alor Setar house and think about the 71 house only when we return. It's all chaotic and if you know me I hate messes and I can't sleep well if those things are not sorted. :( So... half time I couldn't wait to go back to deal with the mess and half time I felt so lazy to go back to face it.
Anyway we needed to get grill guy to instal grill asap and get alarm guy to come check everything again.... -___-
We discovered that Jasmine had started walking steadily for more than a month and had forgotten how to get down of bed or sofa backwards!! She was doing it forward instead of backwards!! We had started to train her again..... put her in position to slide down backwards and she was very unconfident! She rather be stuck half way hanging from the bed like a tarzan and didn't dare to pull herself downward. We kept encouraging her, guide her and help her... when she finally land her feed on the ground, we all clap, including her. She's getting better at it, but she still doesn't know how to put herself in the backwards position everytime she wants to get down of bed or sofa. Hopefully next month she will get the whole skill right!! :)
2014 has come to an end... and what I have in my mind now other than the big mess in our house, is my super huge BACKLOG i.e. 2014 photobook. @.@ This year I was busy printing 4 6x6 inches free photobook for Jasmine's First Year, that I couldn't work on the 2014 family book. And right now I have to print a San Francisco Travel Photobook before March 2015 as well. Dear Lord, please give me more time and make me more efficient like never before! Amen!!
