everything~joan.: Mini Milestones : Jasper's 13th month (before Taiwan)

December!

Jasper saw how Jasmine play sitting in this stool pretending it's her car. Here he is trying to do the same but couldn't figure out how to get himself in.

Here, he is pretending he's on the phone! Haha.

Watched his first movie in cinema, Sing!

I hope we have enough ergo training because we have 2 travels this month - Langkawi and Taiwan.

Jasmine was doing some colouring and as usual, Jasper wants to be a part of it too. He did manage to scribble some colours on the picture. :)

Sleeping at Lian's when I arrived in evening.

In the car seat to Lian's... it's so hard to estimate the right temperature for him at the back. Either too hot or too cold.

This was him at the celebration on his actual birthday - 8th Dec 2016.

After celebrated Jasper's birthday, on 10th December we flew MAS to Langkawi.
There were last minutes changes, we were supposed to board the 7.30am plane but I left my iC at home so we had to go back home to get it and take the next flight which is at 9pm. So we went back for a nap, do laundry etc.. and back to airport. Wasted another RM300 on tickets and RM250 on taxi fares... about there.

Jasper cried in plane but thankfully he drank milk taking off and touching down. I felt like I wrestled with him in the plane.

We finally arrived at Langkawi, he was so playful in the airbnb, he played on the mattress and carelessly slide down the mattress forward... few times he landed safe.

But twice he fell and hit his forehead on the concrete floor, within 5 minutes.

He has bump on left and right of his forehead. I joked that he is like the hell boy character.

He has running and blocked nose. We decided to send to to see doctor to ensure he's all well before Taiwan trip.

This is a big room we stay in the airbnb.

I like the big table to put our luggages.

We sat at the back of the rental Avanza. No car seat so have to carry. It's very tiring. Lesson learn for Taiwan trip, the portable car seat must bring.

Another lesson, when go for trips, must bring cap and sunblock for the kids.

This is how I manage a baby with ergo, my own handbag and the diaper bag.

Feed fishes at the pond after getting shocked at the line taking the cable car. Change of plan, just eat lunch and go to the beach.

Lunch, spagetti bolognaise. Jasper took noodle by noddle and fed himself.

We do not know what to feed him, he rejected nestum as breakfast. He was fine feeding himself the spagetti. When we got back to the car, I tried giving him the instant baby food in a jar, he rejected. So, wasted the instant baby food. It was not cheap!

Beach time. Jasper's first beach experience.

It was nap time, about 2 to 3pm.. so I used the ergo to put him to nap. :)

He slept in the stroller throughout the sand castle session with Jasmine.

Next place was the underwater world. We took turn to carry and used the stroller.. it was a tiring day...

Dinner. Jasper enjoys eating chinese style dinner. Rice with dishes and he basically just pops rice into his own mouth. It was messy but we're glad he ate!

This is the morning we've arrived home. :)

I heard him called Je Je like Te Te.

When we sing the Shark song to him, he has followed us do the "fish hand" movements... point fingers, shake his head.. .and when when sang the part "alooooong came Mr. Shark.., he will echo with "ahhhh".

Took him to see Dr. Liew on the running nose and phlegms.

He hated the nebulizer treatment! Couldn't stop struggling to escape from it. If we dont hold him tight enough he can even use his legs to push the tube away.

He cried so loud that Jasmine was trying to cheer him on by singing songs. Didn't work either.

He dislike medicine, had to eat 17.5ml 3 times a day, we had to force through and can't avoid staining his clothes because he spits out the medicine. The first time we fed, he vomitted after that.

The thing he mumbles when he was trying to get away from eating the medicine is "dadadada..."

In the eating department, we are very confirm he doesn't want to eat baby food anymore. We took him to eat kuey teow.. he rejected. Then Joshua had to go opposite to buy plain porridge with hard boil egg, he only ate a bit.

13th Dec, he refused to be fed. He made a huge mess feeding himself white rice. Then we realise that he loves french fries. He can eat a bit of bread.

This is at home, I just gave him white rice to feed himself.

I started off with rice soaked with pumpkin soup.. he didn't want it. He threw the whole bowl to the floor and the pumpkin stained the wall a little.

And he enjoys popping rice into his mouth and his habit was to pull his hair after that.

The result? hair in his hair.

This is at Texas Chicken in Sunway Pyramid. In order to get him to eat, we started steaming carrots and potatoes for him. So glad that he ate all, one by one he fed himself.

It was so messy that the worker that did the clean up was angry at us, he purposely push Anne a bit. Sorry I was sorry but then not sorry anymore. Do your job!

This is at Aeon Big, same thing. White rice.. and he just dig in.

Most of the white rice will end up on the chair and floor...

While trying to feed him, he can get mad for no apparent reasons and after we wait for a while, he would be ok to be fed again. @.@

White rice in his pocket too. Joshua joked that he is keeping these for later.

The container and the lid has fallen on the floor numerous times. I tried to wipe and let him use again but can't help it, is still dirty. -_-

This is at Subang Parade Uncle Lim.

See the rice on his clothes? Impossible to clean! So we changed him after the meal.

Look at the mess. We apologised to the worker.

After we changed him, we went to a korean shop which is a little like daiso to buy presents for my colleague who was going to be married. Joshua found an idea to put him in the soft toys bin.

Shocking discovery, he has no problem being fed at Lian's house! Including baby food - nestum with Farleys. Oh dear.

16th and 17th Dec, he woke up at night for milk, after milk he refuse to sleep in his own cot, wants to sleep next to me.

17th Dec, at 3am, because the way he toss around on our bed, he accidentally hit Joshua's face and caused a blister in his mouth.

This boy is already trying to climb up the cot, playpen, baby gate and even Lian's grill door.

19th Dec, 3am.. kept crying even after drinking. And he cries very loud! He only wants to be latching in my sit down position. If I adjust a bit, he will cry again.

He is walking more than crawling. He walks and once he loses balance, he will throw himself to sit down. Get up and walk again.

Often walks around clapping hands or holding on to toys eg. green egg or the phonics toys.

Noticed that when he drops his toys, he will squat down to pick it up and then continue walking.

Drank orange juice from the straw bottle.

Does this legs swinging from cot at home and also at Lian's.

Bath time. He stands and plays with the water tap. Joshua seldom bath him in bath tub anymore. He let him sit on the floor if he doesn't stand.

But I still like to use the bath tub.

Joshua started bathing both together.

He also started putting both in trolley in Aeon Big.

Let him wear the gown to sleep once.

This was Jasmine's last day at Lian's house.

None of them really know what was going on, what were the changes to come. :) Next year Jasper will be alone at Lian's with Kayden.

Once that happens, their time spent at home will be extremely precious. :)

Here he is munching on some christmas candies.

Joshua let him ride on the trike and pushes him around. He loves it.

Then come Jasmine's turn and he was not happy... he still wants to ride on it.

We taught him how to do fly kisses and he learnt it really fast. Althought most times he licks his own hand, but sometimes he does it right, like absolutely right. Haha. Also, this funny boy likes to shake head and randomly just hit his palms on his cheeks repeatedly.

The medicine feeding everyday was really tough. Even for Lian, she said she use her legs to lock his arms and then use wet towel to wipe his face after that so he will swallow the medicine. According to her, its a natural reaction to a cold towel. At home, Joshua will lock Jasper and I will feed the medicine. I dont think I am that good at it, medicine kept being spitted out or flowed out from corner of his mouth. So much clothes I have to wash immediately because the medicine is sweet. So much handkerchief to wash as well after used to wipe his neck and face clean. A lot of work... by end of medicine journey, he tried to accept it, so one out of the many battles, he ate it peacefully. After that he changed strategy again, he will not struggle much but will spit out almost all. Messy. Stopped giving medicine on 20th Dec. Condition already improved and plan to bring the medicine to Taiwan.

This was the morning just before we fly to Taiwan... both kids somehow ended up on our bed and they sure don't look that little anymore.

Before going to Taiwan, we met up with the Puahs in the morning!!

Jasper is quite a social butterfly, he enjoyed playing with all the toys there.

He did not cling to me. Aunty Puah carries him for a while and I felt so relieved. He never struggle to go down like how he did when we were carrying him.
