22 October - Underground shopping, Goodbye

Our last day in Korea, we planned to just walk around the neighbourhood on our own before calling a cab to send us to airport.

But we woke up to a rainy morning.... and the rain didn't stop at all until we left.. mixed feelings.. we enjoyed our trip, but it looks definitely like the weather was JUST about to turn cold!! Why did our trip fall into the hottest days in autumn just before the chill kicks in? -__________-  This is making me want to return to Korea even moreeee........... arghh................

Anyway, Daniel offered to bring us on a little tour to his office building near Myeong Dong. I didn't want to rush here and there but... I had a feeling Grace cannot be disturbed in the morning taking care of Ona, so we just followed Daniel to work. :) What a privilege....

Seoul looks and feels different when weather is chilly..... our experience were mostly sunny and warm with a little cold wind.

Here we arrived at the building, Daniel took us to the highest floor restaurant and just look out the window to the city view. The waiter came to ask whether we were going to have a meal but Daniel just mentioned about us looking out the window, they were totally fine! Wow! I don't think restaurants allow strangers entering their restaurant just to have a look from their window and not ordering anything....

After that Daniel had to go to work, although he is the boss, he has a meeting to attend. We know because he wears a suit, he said he only dress up formal when there's meeting with client or potential client. :) We shook hands and bid good bye to a good korean man. :)

We were encouraged to do some shopping downstairs.. but we passed by those shops and didn't feel that the things are cheap...
IMG_1328 so we decided to just take a cab back home.... and stop by anywhere we feel like... in between...

We left with Daniel in a hurry in the morning so I had zero make up. So pale sigh.
IMG_1330  But this man always has same face whenever wherever. :)

We walked in the rain for a bit to reach this shelter. :) And then we found subway! Thought of taking subway to any station near Grace's apartment and call a cab. IMG_1336 Then... we found out.. there's shopping mall at the underground subway! Woohoo! :D
IMG_1342 Grace later on told us that underground shopping malls always sells things cheap. :D It was for real! I bought the peter pan collar tops in my left hand up there for RM14 each, and a pink cardigan for RM43 and lastly a navy blue cardigan for RM29. I wishhhh I've purchased more.. but we were trying to keep our spending as low as possible.. so I figured I better stop there. :)

Then we have a cab sent us back to Dongnimun. And we remembered a second hand store named Beautiful Store on the row of shop houses before turning into Grace's apartment, it was closed on Sunday and we hope it is open on Monday... it was! :D

The things there are so cute.... there were boots!!! But the size didn't fit mine. :(

I fell in love with the brown diary .. so bought it for RM8, not cheap but I think still ok. I like the size and the colour and all the simple drawings in the book... ;)
IMG_1350 I bought 2 dresses here. It's both old things, RM16 each. :) I like those 2 dresses.. one has belt missing, another one has loose hemming. I just used an old belt and then my mum did the hemming for the other dress. :D

While I went into the fitting room, Joshua also did his share of shopping, he bought noodles. Yah they sell all kinds of things. We also almost bought a clock and 2 baby blue cups but Joshua stopped me.

On the way back to Grace's place, we bought pork fillet... that was the time Joshua made the pig noise to communicate with the shop owner. Whatever it takes to ensure we bought pork !! :P

We're finally back, for the last time, we entered through the door, to unit 604. :)
IMG_1357
Grace made lunch for us. It was all vege... Joshua say he felt like he is cow or horse.. haha.. for me it's the green challenge!
 IMG_1364
Thank God we bought pork fillet. :P Don't tell Grace ok? Hehehe..  but Grace has made us see through our daily meals, doesn't always have to centred around meat, can just be as simple as noodle and vege and just an egg. :) So this is making us do simple meals at home more often now! :D
IMG_1365
After our meals, I was chatting with Grace about her marriage and some challenges about attending church with Ona around not able to serve bla bla bla... Joshua didn't want to leave the table because that's rude and didn't want to join in the conversation because that's inappropriate so he just spends time with little tomato girl  :D

She loves cherry tomatoes! She was having one in her mouth....And here's how she played with it, so cute!!! Hahahaha...

After that, we cleaned up and packed up.... Grace helped to call a cab but ended up no cab was available so we had to go out to just stop any cab.
IMG_1386
Ona was thrilled to find out she was going to come out with us. :D Grace dressed her up in warm clothing and we all walked down to the roadside to look for cab! :) It was really sweet of Grace to want to send us off in this manner...
IMG_1388
How I miss this friend!! :)  Our cab finally came, Grace told him to send us to Seoul Station and we hugged goodbye....
IMG_1389
I had tears in my eyes when we entered the cab.... bye bye Grace.... :)

Arrived at Seoul Station...
IMG_1400
Took Airport Express to airport.
IMG_1412 We had a bit of luggage overweight issue where we had to adjust to the maximum weight. We actually can carry another 7kg of hand carry but I was too lazy, just trying to check in all we can. :P

So here's it, passing the custom and getting my passport chopped.
IMG_1422
While waiting to board the plane, reality finally kicks in when we were surrounded by Malays. Sigh...
IMG_1430 Our plane was 5pm. So we would arrive in Malaysia by 11.30pm.
IMG_1438 One mistake we did here, we didn't pre-order meals in the plane. Ordering on the spot is very pricy and we paid the price of eating Korean BBQ for a small pack of green curry rice that's not delicious at all. :(  And the passengers in front of us had a crying baby that's NOT CUTE AT ALL. We had so much of Ona the whole trip, so this chinese malaysian annoying crying girl really cannot match the cute standard. Our sleep the whole trip were so badly affected GrrrrRRRrrr....

But thank God and praise God we were back home safely. :)

That sums up our Day 7 in Korea... kamsahamnida!!!!

Praying that we can go back again.... in future... :) :) :)

P/S: we reached home at about 12.30am, went out for supper at nearest mamak and made back home at 1.30am. Joshua went to bed almost straight but I unpacked everythingggggg and only slept at 2.30am.. we went back to work the next day... :)
