I have been asking her Jasmine do you miss Ah Ma? She will say yes. So I said next time when you see Ah Ma you tell her "Ah Ma I miss you" ok? She nodded. And true enough, early this month my mum came to Subang Jaya. She sat at the back of Serena when we went out for meal, Jasmine turned to the back and said "Ah Ma I miss you". :) :) Heart melting!
We went to Setia Alam the Joy Studio to look at furnitures and mummy found an arm chair that she likes. Jasmine likes it too. :)
We took a group picture together while Jasper was sleeping. All of us wearing dark frame specs. :)
My mum finds her calling herself Ash-win very amusing and sort of encouraging her to say it and laughed together about it.
It was a short trip. When my mum was going back to Muar on Sunday, she took out a pack of tissue from her handbag and gave it to Jasmine. It has a cartoon of Tom & Jerry on it.
Jasmine got angry when she see us putting Jasper on the diaper changing mat she often use / play with. And also when we let Jasper use blanket / napkin which she claimed as hers.
Jasmine had a bit of fever one day. I did some doctor role play with her and did some sponging for her.
Despite the temperature, she was extra bubbly and so willing to eat her dinner.
Temperature up to 38.1 degrees so we had to feed her medicine. After eating it she said she wanted somemore!
When she wants to say she is feeling better, she said "fool butter".
3rd May, she had suddenly started asking "Why?"
She used to say "Yah" and now she's switched to saying "Yas" meaning yes.
5th May, I couldn't start the Serena at F&N car park. This is 2nd time. First time was outside Lian's house but eventually after about half hour of trying & giving up, the push start button worked. Now, second time. It was 6pm plus in F&N car park and I tried for an hour yet no response. Joshua had dinner appointment in KL and it was crazy jam due to a heavy downpour so even his dinner plan had to change. Cut it short, he couldn't come to rescue me... so I had to turn to my friend Hoong Ling who stays in Kota Kemuning. She immediately said OK! That was 7pm plus, it usually takes about 20 minutes to reach office from her home.. but that night, again due to the rain which just started drizzling.. kesas was JAM! The traffic light outside our office was not functioning at all making it even more jam. @.@ I felt so sorry when I had to manually lock the Serena in the dark (I tried & tried till it was really dark) and waited for Hoong Ling at the guardhouse till 8pm. Her kids were all in the car as well. Her kids were still in uniform and haven't had dinner. Thank God I had my morning bread with me - Joshua made extras that day. So the 2 of them enjoyed the peanut butter bread. She fetched me to Lian's house to pick up the kids. I carried Jasmine to the car first, Lian's helped with the umbrella. Then I went back to get Jasper & the stuffs. Jasmine was not afraid when left alone in car with Hoong Ling & her kids. Hoong Ling asked her to move to the centre so myself & Jasper could get in. She obeyed. My sweet child. :) So off we go, Hoong Ling is sending us back home. Thank God for helpful friend. So there were 6 of us in the Myvi. Hoong Ling & daughter Annabelle in front. Annabelle fell asleep before we reach Lian's house. At the back was me & Jasper on my lap, Jasmine in middle and Hoong Ling's son Brandon. It was raining.. n then it got better.. Jasmine suddenly said "no more thunder" I took the opportunity to say yes, but it's still raining. Shall we sing the raining song? Rain rain go away... and Brandon sang along! :D And he continued to sing twinkle twinkle little star. It was a cute and fun time for the kids. :) Annabelle woke up moments before we reach our house and look back at us to smile warmly. We got home by 9pm. Hoong Ling only reach home 9.30pm. It was really a tough day. The car? We almost got the tow truck to come at 7pm but miscommunications made the truck cancel the trip. So the tow truck came the next morning. Joshua sent me to work and waited for the tow, followed it back to the service centre, took a cab home to work from home.
8th May, Jasmine started singing "Your Grace Is Enough". It must be from the praise & worship at Homes / Church where she learn it. I taught her to sing "for me.." pointing to herself.
She already knows how to say Muar, Subang Jaya. I also taught her how to say Kota Kemuning and although it took her a while to say it, she managed to!
She is in love with Dr Seuss books, it's always a phase. Last time was Peter & Jane then she changed. Anyway, one midnight she woke up and wanted to come to our room. She insisted on taking the Dr Seuss book set along with her other pillows. As usual, she asked for milk. After milk, she told me she wants to read. @.@ No.. Jasmine it's 4am now, it's still dark outside, everyone is sleeping.
Every night if she comes over to our room, 99% of the time she wants to drink milk. And 9.5 out of 10 times, she will call daddy. One time she called me instead "Mummy? make nen nen pls?" So polite and so gentle..
14th May, we took her to Dr Liew and had the Influenze A jab. Next up would be the Tyhpoid jab.
She's a very good patient. After this when she role play doctor game, she want us to breath. :)
And after that we go to water baptism service where Aunty Lynna returned the pink bible that we left at her house after the bible study.
Starts to play the Play-Doh more and even helps herself with it because she knows where I keep it.
I followed her to Acts Kids one Sunday. The sticker time was the one she role played at home the most. That day I saw her really waving at the other kids like hello everybody but silently. After teacher gave her a sticker she said to me "mummy see I got one".
This picture taken by Acts Kids teacher. Appreciate these so much. :)
She also started to repeat our adult conversations or sometimes even answer us. Like when we say "eh didi wants pacifier", "but pacifier in the stroller how?" Also capable of asking me "ah ma ju ju coming to Subang Jaya?" "I want go to Muar"
We started doing flashcards to both of them during Jasmine's milk time, with didi next to her.
Both behaving like kittens. here. I kiss your hand, I touch your face.
I took out the bird hat we bought from San Francisco during a clean up in drum room. She loved it and Joshua used it for some role play games with her.
When she wears the bird hat, she will pretend flying. When she wears the panda hat, she crawls like one.
She often hi-jacked Jasper's toys.He doesn't have a lot.. and even that few she will want to play.
One Sunday afternoon at home, she insisted on sleeping on the pouffes. She really took her nap there for about an hour. It was not flat surface so I believe it was not comfortable so eventually I moved her to the usual place.
She got up with the left ear looking red.
20th May, we had homes to do up a flag for Family Day. And glad to be involving Jasmine!
Look at her imitating us drawing on the flag. Cathering gave her another piece for her to scribble through.
Helped us to colour when everyone was putting their hands on it.
Best part is when we show case our completed flag, she tried to do the same with the A4 paper we used to practise writing.
At Family Day, I put her in to join the colouring competition. She was not comfortable because she had to be barefooted, and the canvas has some sand on it. She didn't like it.
So after few strokes of colours on her piece, she said she's done. She was the first to "complete".
Then I took her to the back for some painting. They wanted to paint on her face but I decided better to just paint on the hand. She picked the ribbon herself. :)
After Family Day, Ah Ma and jiu jiu came. Koko bought some story books and card and 七巧板. But the 七巧板 is too tough for Jasmine to play. How she play? She will put all under the board, like this. -_-
Play feeding medicine with Ah Ma. :)
Sunday lazing about with Ah Ma.
And jiu jiu.
And peppa pig. And Jasper. :) :)
23rd May Sunday, after mummy and koko went back to Muar. Joshua and Jasper was taking their naps. I initiated a colour blocks game with her. I took out the colour paper I bought at Mr. DIY and get her to assign her blocks onto the paper by the colour. She found it interesting at first but after a few blocks she wanted to stop playing it.
I really wanted her to finish what she started, so I had to use rotan to threaten her to finish the game! She was scared and do it reluctantly and eventually she woke Joshua up to help her with it.
After the game, we took her to Court 10 for a swim. That's the first time she used the swim board that koko had bought for her at Subang Parade last month.
Joshua said she's improved so much she knows how to use the swim board to keep herself afloat. She made friends at the kids pool, there were a pair of indian brother & sister, which is like her Yuvraaj and Abigail.
While Joshua let her go on playing with her friend, observing from a distance away, Jasmine suddenly lost balance and fell head down into the water. Joshua caught her within few seconds but she definitely was shocked by the little incident. But we are so proud of her that she did not cry at all.
After the swim, Anne helped me bath her at the toilet. But the light was not working.. it's already getting dark by 7pm... so I went in to help dress her up while Anne quickly bath herself.
One time, I took her to public toilet. The squat down toilet looked so dirty I just asked her to pee on the floor. Still reminding her not to rest her bum bum on the floor! I saw her do it all the time at Lian's so when we are out in public toilet, I had to keeeeeeeeep reminding her. Anyway, when she pee, I was squating right in front of her, although I tried to be at the side instead (helping her lift up her blouse and ensure her pants don't get wet from touching the floor), still her pee got to my feet. -_- No one likes that. So I was already in bad mood, with the sweat dripping down my forehead thanks to awesome Malaysia weather, while helping her to wear pants, I can't remember why I raised my voice at her. She asked "mummy why shouting?" That instantly made me feel bad. :( Once when I was carrying her, she touched my neck and say "mummy sweating?" I was already in bad mood due to the heat, I just couldn't answer her. I said "mummy feels very hot" in a very unfriendly tone. Sorry Jasmine!
The OCD stuffs is getting real. One day we were walking out of Lian's house to get to our car. She refused to walk on the grass, I asked why. She said "because roxy poo poo".
Another Sunday, we had an impromptu bubble outing with Jess Kong at USJ12. There were Zash, Asher & Sonya, playing with all bubble related toys. Her bubble gun was a hit among the kids.
But only Zach could use it. It's still too advanced for other kids.
Jasmine was doing great with the bubble wand and bubble tube!
Group photo at the hut where we took shelter after it started to drizzle. The kids kept playing no matter what.
We visited my old audit friend Steph Saw and her newborn daughter Tara Tooh. She was so friendly with Stephanie.. talked so much, saw the water fountain at the side after she asked "whats that noise" and even got herself some chocolates. :)
Jasper started to grab her hair.... and this month at home he grabbed about 2-3 hair out! :(
Took picture with birthday boy.
And got herself a helium balloon.
She likes us to tie the napkin like this for her, pretending to be little red riding hood.
At home, after Jasper could sit on the high chair, Jasmine has been officially upgraded to booster chair on dining chair. So glad she didn't have a problem with that. Even helped us put pacifier into Jasper's mouth.
Such a good sister to Jasper. :) :) Minus the hi-jacking his toys part, yes. :)
Homes - my most challenging moments juggling with both on.my.own. Because Joshua is doing the word sharing, he can't lend me any help at all.
Jasmine just decided to lie down on my lap... and wants to pee 3 times and poop 1 time. -_-
We took her to playground lesser.. due to rain and coming home late from office.... so she played more at home.
Different games at home
I got this idea from facebook. With Daiso felt balls and toilet rolls.
Then she tried to put in other things through the toilet rolls. -_-
Play with some baking tools at home.
Painting during weekends and also weekdays. She finished up some colours so I bought her new box of water colours from Mr. DIY.
I asked her what did she draw, answer were "trees, daddy, mummy, ah yi..."
Playing with her bears and decided to leave them on the stairs one day. :) It was left her overnight. Haha.
And got us to push her around. She already could reach the paddle but she find the paddle's surface uncomfortable so I tried to wrap socks around it. She's still not paddling it though.
Plays with the tea party set. I took out once for her when she was muchhhh younger and quickly hide it. Now I think is more suitable for her to play... but she still broke one cup because she was not familiar with playing with things that can break. It's good chance to teach her to be careful with things that can break. :)
Likes to play with Jasper's new bumbo seat. She could still sit in it. We are ok with her sitting on it, but not when she stands in it, and all the more, ON IT. No!
She doesn't like it when Joshua is not wearing his t-shirt. She always say "daddy go wear your t-shirt." If she has not enough sleep, she even cry while saying that. One night, she whine too much over nothing and I got angry at her, she immediately said she wants daddy.
We took Jasper to Klinik Kecheeriaan as he has not pooped for at least 4-5 days. After the check up, we went next door to eat Korean Ramen. The waiter was nice to give her some hello kitty sweets. When she saw it, she gave a loud chuckle while saying "sweets!!!!" nothing can be more genuine than that. :) Right after that, Joshua took her to 7-11 to buy bread, the moment they step into 7-11, she screamed "wahhhhh so nice!!!" I like this expressive girl! Once we got home, she instructed Joshua to carry her and then take the bread, "her" bread along.
When I pick her up from Lian's, sometimes Uncle Bala is at the garden. She will make a big round (avoid walking on the grass) to say bye to him and high five. No wonder she's their favourite. One time, Uncle Bala's hand was wet from watering the plants, she high five as usual and said "eeeeeeee.........."
Everytime we reach home, I will ask her, should mummy carry didi first or jeje first. She always wants to be carried first and ask didi to wait for his turn. Only one time she said didi first. So usually Jasper had to wait in the car.
We had to go meet Aunty Barbara one night, and while we were talking in the living room, Jasmine went into the kitchen to get biscuit from Aunty Barb's mum & aunty. She then played with the 2 90 year old grandma for so long and so so quiet throughout the whole session. Both of the 90 year olds love her so much.
One night, we bought ice cream again. We bought a cone and a cup chocolate ice cream. She was holding the plastic bag and when I asked her to pass me the ice cream cone, she keep passing me the cup one. Obviously, this girl likes the same ice cream as mummy.
Here's another night, she was eating the ice cream that my mummy bought for her. Branded baskin robbin ice cream.
Yumsss.. nope Jasmine please don't bite on the spoon. I always worry her milk teeth won't be strong enough to bite metal...
Durian season. Our first durian session was at the Kong's house in USJ12. While we were eating, Jasmine plays with Zach & Asher's toys. They totally ignored her.... even after she asked Asher to push her, or she push him on the toy ride. Argghhh stupid boys. I felt so sorry for her. I really really hope she will soon make many friends in and out of church. This time, she LOVES durian.
She will want to eat when she sees us eating. She can even identify the smell. When I open the fridge, she will say durian and some looking for it at the dining table.
So I found out she doesn't just kiss Jasper's hands, she does the same to Aria Rose, the newest baby at Lian's. At Lian's, she sings and dances a lot. All over the place.
She's imitator. When Jasper cries, I always say "oh ok ok ok ok" and sometimes I hear Jasmine said the exact same "ok ok ok ok" to Jasper! :D
I have tried to tell her not to touch her shoes countless times, because the shoes are dirty. One night she was sleeping near the wall in her room, I said "don't touch the wall" she tried to touch and seeks for my approval. "No?" I said "No." She continued "because wall is dirty?" :) Smart little girl!! But I was more about the wall is cold and she may get sick from it... but I felt it's too hard to understand anddddd it could be a myth.
She said to me "I don't friend you" I asked why, she said "because didi loves you" @.@
She says a lot of "naughty daddy, naughty mummy" following Peppa Pig.
She says to me "don't go out ok?" one Sunday when asked me to send her to Acts Kids.
We started doing simple art & craft at home. It's mainly because I bought art & craft book from tao bao.... so that also warrants the start of her using scissors (I bought a blunt one from Daiso) and glue. We made giraffe, bird etc (mostly done by me) and she will clip to the fridge once done. We do it when MKR is on. One day she said to me "we are best friend" and she gave me the big white glue, and gave herself the small pink glue.
In more than one occassion, she said "I don't want friend you anywhere" I had to keep correcting her that it's "anymore". She learnt the anywhere word from Green Egss & Ham. I asked her who is her best friend, the answer is daddy.
Daddy plays a lot with her. See the hair clip on his chest hair? He went all out. :)
So MKR is back and we love the show. 9.30pm every Monday to Wednesday. We encouraged her to dance to the MKR song and she had a lot of fun doing it. I love her confidence in expressing in singing and dancing. ;)
Here's us watching MKR, both kids already in pyjamas and Jasmine munching on Cornflakes from the packagaing. :)
30th May, 3am she came to our room and said she wants to niao naio. Joshua was sleeping in their room because the air con in our room was not cold. She was a little confused with that. I told her to go back to her room and ask daddy to bring her to toilet. She was walking over and suddenly there was a loud thunder! She was shocked and stopped at the landing area, broke into loud cries. I had to go over to carry her to Joshua. She needed time to calm down, drank some milk before she fall asleep again.
31st May, I had to use rotan to get her to sleep. She was too hyper. It was MKR night so we only came up to her room at 10.30pm. After drink milk and brush teeth and some reading, it's almost 12am. It's very unhealthy for a 3yo to sleep so late... I am slowly convincing myself not to watch MKR anymore. Just take both kids up to their room before 10pm maybe? Anyway that night she told me her finger from thumb is Jasmine, daddy, Jesus, mummy and then didi. :) So sweet! She assigned the middle space for Jesus. Then when she got me to repeat them, I said it all correctly she was very thrilled.
This month, we had the opportunity to eat lunch after Sunday service with Jessica Kong and her kids. It was 16th May, she was feeding both kids and started to promise Zach a story. Wow, that's a very new concept to me. To tell story to your kids to make them sit still through a meal. I told Joshua lets start the story telling culture. Once we started on it, wow Jasmine loves it!! She would say "tell somemore stories again" all the time, almost each time after we say "the end". So what stories I told Jasmine? I told her stories that I heard about Joshua's childhood, make up animal stories etc. Joshua also tried to do the same. Lets see how this story telling thing can develop us.... I do think it's a great activity for all of us, as a family. :) Challenging my creativity though. :P
We went to Setia Alam the Joy Studio to look at furnitures and mummy found an arm chair that she likes. Jasmine likes it too. :)
My mum finds her calling herself Ash-win very amusing and sort of encouraging her to say it and laughed together about it.

One night in kitchen, while Joshua was preparing rice for Jasmine, right after steaming he was taking it out from the pot, that's when it slipped, fell to the floor and broke. Joshua was so angry at himself. Then I assured him "don't worry, I will clean up" Jasmine came.. she asked, what happen? I said daddy broke a bowl. She said "daddy dont worry ok? Mummy clean up" :)
One night in her room, I was feeding Jasper. She came over to observe and touched my stomach. Something must've clicked in the small cute brain - mummy's stomach no more baby. Then she went to get a napkin, stuffed it into her sleeping gown and said "see, got baby in my stomach". She does this more than once but I didn't encourage.
We've been putting them to bed late... and she snoozes only after 10.30pm or after 11pm. So mornings she usually will just sleep throughout the journey to Lian's. One morning, as usual, I was taking her down on my shoulder to carry into Lian's house. I heard her chuckle in her sleep. First time! She must be having a sweet dream.
Likes to pretend to be baby. She will say "I'm a baby" while crawling about and baby talk "gu gu ga ga" Both at Lian's house or at home. Lian said "if you are a baby then you cannot go to the playground" she immediately stood up. I wonder why we don't have such power at home.
We started doing simply bible study with our hommies on non-homes Friday nights. Jasmine joins too, and she took her pink bible along. She showed Matthew, he said very nice. Then Jasmine came to me and said "uncle say very nice". We read the pink bible to her and to my amazement, she could remember some of it. I will purposely pause and she will continue! Impressed.
That night, on the way home Joshua stopped a petrol station and we bought an ice cream cone. It was for us mainly but she wanted it so badly, she ate 80% of it.
She could stuff 1/3 of the cone into her mouth. When Joshua said stop eating, she cried.
She doesn't want to share it with us but we said it's for sharing, she eventually will pass it to us, but would be waiting anxiously for us to pass back to her.
She is saying very good sentences like "your" and "mine" especially when passing me her bible. And in the car she will tell me "didi biting the seat belt". It took her quite a while to say the full sentence but I must remind myself to be extra patient to hear her finish the sentence instead of helping her to say it. Note to self! She also started to use the word "because" and "why". When I say something, she asks "Why?" And if I ask her why, she will say "because..." and her reasons are mostly funny. Why is daddy your best friend? Because I'm pain. Once I said "if you eat biscuit, mummy feed" she asked why. I said "Because your fingers are dirty" She said "because Jasmine play play-doh".One night in her room, I was feeding Jasper. She came over to observe and touched my stomach. Something must've clicked in the small cute brain - mummy's stomach no more baby. Then she went to get a napkin, stuffed it into her sleeping gown and said "see, got baby in my stomach". She likes to have didi next to her.
Few times I also tried reading to both together. Note the kissing didi hand there.
Note the bear bear in middle.
She likes to be put into didi's cot. Both behaving like kittens. here. I kiss your hand, I touch your face.
When she wears the bird hat, she will pretend flying. When she wears the panda hat, she crawls like one.
Even wore it when we went to Citta Mall. With the pink bear along.
We took her to the Lego Cafe at Citta Mall. Try to expose her to playing duplo or lego, to stimulate some creativity in building stuffs.
When ask her to take picture, give the peppa pig smile, she peeped at how Joshua smile.
And gave her version of peppa pig smile. :)
Including this muffle that we let Jasper wear in church when the music is too loud.
One Sunday afternoon at home, she insisted on sleeping on the pouffes. She really took her nap there for about an hour. It was not flat surface so I believe it was not comfortable so eventually I moved her to the usual place.

Ta dah! I purposedly dressed her up with sunglasses and pink cap. :D Here she is looking cool with the arm painting.
When she went to touch baby Joshua, Joshua (yes the baby is same name as daddy) said looks like a celebrity greeting her fans.
There, our Jasmine the celebrity.
Classic pose. She knows she's taking a picture with the hand painting!
Family photo!
After Family Day, Ah Ma and jiu jiu came. Koko bought some story books and card and 七巧板. But the 七巧板 is too tough for Jasmine to play. How she play? She will put all under the board, like this. -_-
And jiu jiu.
Poor Sonya had HFM after this! We suspect Zach and Asher had the HFM virus from their school and my strong Jasmine was not infected. She had one case earlier and we believe she's immune to it to a certain extend.
Here she is wearing new Poney dresses, again who else, Ah MA bought them.
We attended Kayden's first birthday party at Kota Kemuning.
Sat with Lian and her son Venesh. And got herself a helium balloon.
After that we pop by the KK park and let her feed tortoise. We have not been there for months and she suddenly asked for it. So we took the opportunity to kill 2 birds with one stone. We though the tortoise were not there anymore because the lake was quiet when we arrived but no... after throwing in some bread, they are THERE! After feeding tortoise, she played a while at the playground.
Got to admit this is not the nicest picture of Jasmine. :P It was taken by Swee Lin Jiji when we went over on Friday night, to play and catch up. She prefers to play with Janice jeje although she told us Kathy jeje is so pretty. Maybe Kathy has been a little over friendly with her that scared her.
She calls her trike her car. Likes to put a lot of her toys in the car until overflowing.
Sometimes we will be looking for some missing toys, and will find it there. Like Poli the car. Or her water bottle, she will remember and tell us is in the car.
Note the pink giraffe waiting for tea to be served. :) :) And didi also.
She also loves crepe cake. That day after my hair cut, we only plan on sharing 1 slide... but because we underestimated Jasmine's consumption, we had to order 1 more slide.
That is about RM12 per slide. It daunted on us that our food consumption is getting higher.. as the girl grow older and demanding more expensive food.
Her hair finally start to grow long again! I will now cut her hair until I cannot manage.. won't send her to salon for a long time because the last experience was bad.
She let me trim her fringe patiently. :)She will want to eat when she sees us eating. She can even identify the smell. When I open the fridge, she will say durian and some looking for it at the dining table.
Here she is laughing at Yuvraaj who's lying down on the opposite sofa, they are doing some leg in the air actions.
Daddy makes 99.5% of her midnight milks.. because mummy is very tired after waking up to feed didi.
And daddy feeds her most of the time. Not mummy. :P Mummy has no patience, mummy wants to enjoy her food without disruption and mummy feeds didi milk.
Daddy puts her and didi into the car every morning without fail while mummy is busy getting ready for work. :)
Here's us watching MKR, both kids already in pyjamas and Jasmine munching on Cornflakes from the packagaing. :)
