This month, Jasper learnt so many new tricks!
It's funny that he could crawl on tummy before he could sit.
I won't be surprise that he will stand before he crawl on 4 limbs. :D
One night, Joshua was with Jasper in skyroom. When Jasmine and I entered, he saw Jasmine and was so excited that he moves all hands & legs, wanting to play.
Once he burped, we looked at him and laughed. He laughed too. It's like he was laughing at himself. Much much more interactive.
We put them side by side when feed Jasmine her bedtime milk. Jasper will grab the milk bottle teat and we had to intervene. So this kind of "fights" has started.
Weekend, I was alone with them at home.
I took both upstairs with the plan to bath Jasper first, then Jasmine. As usual, I leave him to flip as he likes on Anne's bed and went over to our room to get his clothes & towel. While I leave the room, I told Jasmine to take care of Jasper. Then I heard him make a noise, not crying but more like asking for help kind of noise, then Jasmine called "mummy!" I ran over to find my Jasper trapped between the foot of Anne's bed & the wall right outside the bathroom! It's hilarious but no one was laughing. I quickly rescued him and check for any bruises, thank God there was none. Thank God he was trapped in between, can't imagine if he fell to the floor and so near the bathroom, there was a door track and an elevated concrete bar with sharp edges. I could be exaggerating but God truly protects! Also that also told us never to leave the baby on bed unattended again.
He too have met Uncle Charles during his very short visit in early July. :)
This is how I feed him outside. Sometimes he would lift the cover open but this time we grab it hard. :) Thank you Jasper.
Looking at how Jasmine play with Janice & Kathy.
Another round of big meal with the whole gang before Uncle Charles make his return trip.
Eat out in Muar. We had to feed him food outside for the first time in Muar. It was not easy. Messy and fussy, probably because it's hot? Ah Ma had to take him for a stroll while we finish up the food.
and nggggaaaaammmmmm........
Chilling out on Ah Ma's new arm chair. :)
Bath time in Muar in the toyogo box. Ah Ma always volunteer to bath him. Always.
Big changing area in living room. He always go for the mat, used his fingers to understand the texture.
So hard to change him when all he want was to flip over and start exploring.
Some portraits when he's dressed up and happy in living room with nice light from the big windows.
With his best caretakers since he's born - Ah Yi & Ah Ma.
Spent outdoors together when Jasmine plays outside.
Ah Ma carry and I provide some fan support.
Also joins in the dance party upstairs.
He really wants to go down to the floor to join in the fun.
Played gu zheng too. Haha.
Proper portraits with the whole big family. :D
Tanjong time. He's been so more places and done more things than Jasmine, because now he gets tag along whenever Jasmine does something.
8th July, discovered his first tooth on the lower gum. So cute!! so hard to snap a photo, because whenever my phone is near his face, he wants to grab and chew on it. Whenever I tried using my hand to open up his mouth so I can take a clear picture, same fate, he wants to grab and chew on my finger. Haha.
9th July, saw him supported his whole body on 4 limbs and trying to jerk forward. We think it's only matter of days he could take his first step forward? NO.... :P
He poops sooo frequent, could be as 3-5 times a day. Smooth and beautiful like otak otak. Doctor also said it's ok as long as it's not watery poop.
Anne discovered this, whenever we say "doom doom doom" he will smile. :) And if we look at him and laugh, he laughs along too.
More time spent with Ah Ma on another weekend.
This is common, where he peeks from above the playpen. :)
Saliva dripping, is also common.
13th July, he started biting me when he's latched on. And funny thing he only bites on the right side. He bite so hard and it actually bleed a little. :( I screamed at him and warned him not to bite.. he eventually stopped.
18th July, he started CRAWLING. The army style - chest on floor & right leg pushing himself forward.
He also could sit with hands supporting himself on the floor, or few seconds without the hands support (hands either hitting the floor or swing in the air).
His achievements are different from Jasmine's. First, Jasmine only crawling at 9-10 months old. Second, Jasmine learnt how to sit before she learnt how to crawl. Jasper... crawl before he figure out how to sit properly. The way he moves about the house exploring, is like he is swimming. Anything he can grab, he puts into his mouth eg. door stopper, floor mat, wheels of Jasmine's trike.
He started off the month by sitting with hands support especially during bath time. And then he became independently sitting longer and longer. This was one of those times he sat for so long. My leg was there to catch him or provide extra cushion in case he fall backwards or side ways. He was so engrossed in chewing the yellow strings, he sweat so much.
See the yellow stool behind? Because he goes for the door stopper almost everytime he roams free in the room, we had to keep it high and use the stool as door stopper. Twice he got his finger trapped under the door. First time he was alone going for the door stopper and accidentally push his own finger under the door and cried. Second time, Joshua was trying to stop him from eating the door stopper and didn't see his baby finger under the door and he pushed the door slightly... ouch.Whenever he is near the dirty floor mat or door stopper, I make a warning sound, he seems to understand, will look back at us.
He puts in everything into his mouth. Ate general zod. Yums. Intensed.
The things he put in his mouth that was dangerous - daiso felt balls, small plastic part. Both times discovered by Joshua. When he removed the felt balls from Jasper's mouth, I believe some parts were already in his throat to be swallowed down, and he coughed a bit from it.
Baby monitor, we always fail to ensure we charge the batteries. It's quite a hassle having to ensure it's fully charged. This month he is waking up lesser at night, twice he didn't wake up for milk at all. We are relying on the monitor much lesser. That means I could hear him first before the baby monitor transmit his voice over to my side of the monitor receiver. By end of the month, we stopped using the monitors.
Jasper discovered his kukubird, he touches them during diaper changes. It's messy especially if he has poop in his diaper. @.@ During bath time, he would look down and touch the kukubird too.
He smiles at us, or kicks excitedly when he sees us.
Weekends if I am in kitchen for a long time, that's me blending his food to freeze. I requested for him to sit in kitchen, if he makes a lot of noise asking for attention.
I used the food grinder to grind the steamed food (pumpkin, potato, carrot, tomatoes, brocolli etc) and then keep them in small containers & put in freezer. Give one container a day to Lian.
This is sometimes obviously we are doing much better for him compared to Jasmine's time. Simply because we were not so aware of the tools we can use for easy food blending and also we had much more ready food to blend this time (because we need to cook for Jasmine over weekend).
He starts joining in Jasmine's bedtime routine. But instead of reading, all he wanted was to eat the books.
Touching on books that Jasmine often touches.
Playtime in living room is also common for especially weekday nights - with the MKR showing on TV 9.30pm to 10.30pm.
With Ah Yi, they play Ah Yi games.
Followed along in our train ride adventure. :)
We also took him to Kota Kemuning park for Jasmine to feed tortoise. It was so hot he sweat like mad in the stroller. The fan couldn't run on the old rechargeable batteries. This had inspired me to start an outdoor pack to put in car - equipped with plastic manual fan/sunblock/mosquito repellent.
Followed us to eat durians at USJ.
He was never a vomitty baby but one day while he was crawling in masterbedroom after breakfast, he threw up a lot! I had to grab the blanket nearby to wipe up the vomits. He was alright though thank God.
On 30th July, we took him for jab. He weighs 8.6kg. He cried before doctor gave the jab. He knew it was going to be painful the minute Joshua put him on the bed. Doctor was checking only and he already had the U shape mouth and then followed by a gentle cry. :)
Still uses the bumbo chair and thighs obviously has reduced in size due to the amount of crawling exercise. :) Easier to fit in and take out.
Selfies taken this month. :)
If only I can have you stationary in one spot... because most times I wonder where did Jasper go?
:)
We did some checks to Jasmine's old milestones, and realised that Jasper is interactive at a much younger stage. He could understand us & respond to us. When Joshua ask him to say "ba ba" he repeats after him. Whenever I bring him to the bathroom to wash bum bum, he loves it and will laugh, even more when I take the towel to wipe his bum dry.
Weekend, I was alone with them at home.
I took both upstairs with the plan to bath Jasper first, then Jasmine. As usual, I leave him to flip as he likes on Anne's bed and went over to our room to get his clothes & towel. Yew Hing koko and Swee Lin jiji. Considered his uncle and aunty.
This is how I feed him outside. Sometimes he would lift the cover open but this time we grab it hard. :) Thank you Jasper.
Looking at how Jasmine play with Janice & Kathy.
He completely slept through the dinner in the stroller.
Sweet dreams. :)
Back at home, fed him and changed him into his pyjamas.
And everyone said goodbye to Uncle Charles.
And we made a trip back to Muar during the Raya holidays! Look at our car. Can't imagine if we haven't bought Serena. :) Stroller, playpen, bumbo chair, baby chair, toys & laundry for kids & adults, all in.
Arrived during breakfast time. Hello Ah Ma. :)
Eat out in Muar. We had to feed him food outside for the first time in Muar. It was not easy. Messy and fussy, probably because it's hot? Ah Ma had to take him for a stroll while we finish up the food.
We went to the 1988 cafe. Everyone was eating except for him. He had already taken his meal but he wanted to eat too. I fed him my guava juice hoping that it really is pure juice without sugar or salt.
Back at home, we tried to take similar pictures we took of Jasmine before i.e. donut on the head.
But being so much more alert & interactive, he kept taking the donut off. Haha.and nggggaaaaammmmmm........
Chilling out on Ah Ma's new arm chair. :)
Bath time in Muar in the toyogo box. Ah Ma always volunteer to bath him. Always.
Big changing area in living room. He always go for the mat, used his fingers to understand the texture.

Played piano together with Jasmine.
Also joins in the dance party upstairs.
He really wants to go down to the floor to join in the fun.
Played gu zheng too. Haha.
Proper portraits with the whole big family. :D
We took the playpen back to Muar, this is 2nd time. We put it downstairs during the day and upstairs when we go to bed. Playpen placed next to the wooden bed.
When Ah Ma takes care of him, or spends time with him, she said once he is sleepy and you put a napkin near his face, he will cuddle it and sleeps happily with it. :)
That's what he does in the car seat too.
Just before we go back to Muar, he spends solid time rocking away on Ah Ma's rocking chair.

Labels. Also soaked through.
One of his all time favourites are the alphabets toys. Once we take it out, he will come and grab to put into his mouth.
Baby monitor, we always fail to ensure we charge the batteries. It's quite a hassle having to ensure it's fully charged. This month he is waking up lesser at night, twice he didn't wake up for milk at all. We are relying on the monitor much lesser. He smiles at us, or kicks excitedly when he sees us.
Touches & scratches our face, and even managed to pull out Joshua's chest hair!
And he is getting more and more talkative.
Meal times are his most difficult times. He would cry if we don't feed, or slow in feeding, or food too hard to chew on.
Drinks water via this Avent bottles, sometimes he fuss because he wants to drink, or sometimes because he doesn't want to drink. This is the most unpredictable part of him.
Jasmine will help to feed him biscuits too.
Or he tries to feed himself.
But his saliva will cause the rice cracker to stick to his palm.I used the food grinder to grind the steamed food (pumpkin, potato, carrot, tomatoes, brocolli etc) and then keep them in small containers & put in freezer. Give one container a day to Lian.
This is sometimes obviously we are doing much better for him compared to Jasmine's time. Simply because we were not so aware of the tools we can use for easy food blending and also we had much more ready food to blend this time (because we need to cook for Jasmine over weekend).
Went to Daiso in Sunway Pyramid and Subang Parade (Joshua cut hair, I buy shoes) using the double stroller. When he sits in it and not sleeping, he kicks Jasmine's seat from behind.
Jasmine of course will not like it so we have to intervene by putting him further to the back so his kicks won't reach Jasmine.
Touching on books that Jasmine often touches.
Rare mornings he sleeps on our bed. Or come to our bed after he wakes up.
Other mornings, usually they are still sleeping in their own places.
Sometimes Jasmine is still sleepy, we let him do the waking Jasmine up job. :)
Weekend mornings. He loves the singing bus. That's our only chances where he won't venture out beyond the blue mat on floor.
With Ah Yi, they play Ah Yi games.
Followed us to eat durians at USJ.
On 30th July, we took him for jab. He weighs 8.6kg. He cried before doctor gave the jab. He knew it was going to be painful the minute Joshua put him on the bed. Doctor was checking only and he already had the U shape mouth and then followed by a gentle cry. :)

Wee Liem did this on Facebook, haha!
Here's a series of his cute sleep photos....
Son, mummy loves you. :)
Whenever he's awake he moves so much it's hard for me to cuddle him properly and really gaze at his face....
My precious boy, mummy will try to spend more time with you. :)
If only I can have you stationary in one spot... because most times I wonder where did Jasper go?
:)
