Mini Milestones : Jasmine's 44th month

1st April, she wet her bed in her sleep during midnight. She came over to our room and called "mummy". When Joshua tried to carry her up the bed, he realised that her pajamas were wet. I got clean pajamas for Joshua to change her and I went to check her bed. It was all wet.. but thank God for the waterproof sheets underneath.

She is very sweet, starting to pray more. Believe this was picked up in Little Legend.
One day at home, she asked that we pretend I am Jasmine and it's my birthday. Birthday cake was the colourful puzzles and then she sang birthday song and even prayed for me. "Thank you Jesus for Jasmine, make us vegetable and strong, In Jesus name, Amen"

2nd April, she and the Little Legend kids did a song performance in church!
It's her first performance on stage. She did very very well. They sang the song "God is the master builder".

Jasmine did all the hand actions properly from beginning to the end, although there were some windows of time she kept scratching nose and looked to her right, she still did awesome! We told her we are so proud of her.

Look at the cute kirtsy.

Look at the scratch nose?
Lunch time at Penang, where she ate her lunch from the thermos.
I tried to slot in more book reading to her, so read the Dr Seuss green eggs & ham to her over lunch.
It was fine except her bottle leaked and wet the books. :( :(

Weekend, we did a bit of gardening, she helped to water the plants and accidentally fell down and hurt her knee cap a little. She also refuse to take naps until 6.50pm, she fell asleep in the car on the way to Aeon Big. She slept in stroller all throughout the groceries shopping trip. Woke up when we arrive home.

Bedtime, she didn't allow us to speak because the monster will come. Then she prayed for us "Lod Jesus, we pray for the woman and man. Protect us, keep us safe. We push (praise) you and bless you, you make us safe. In Jesus name amen!" Wowwwwwwwwww.... powerful prayer by a 3.5 year old.

Habit before bed, she kept asking for second round of milk. I told her that she must wake up to pee, cannot pee in bed again. So that night at 12am she really woke up and came over to our room. When I hear her food steps, I asked "What happened?" she straight away answered "I didn't niao niao in bed!" She's such a good girl! So after I helped her to pee in toilet, as usual she continue her sleep on our bed.

In LL, Jasper is new. We told her to help take care of Jasper but the teachers said in initial few days she didn't seem to want to have anything to do with him. It's like she doesn't know what part to play, she doesn't know how to be a sister to him, when she's a student in LL. She refuse to kiss Jasper, or comfort him when he cries due to unfamiliar faces and place. Once the teacher made her feed Jasper banana in the evening (he didn't eat much since morning), she did but right after he finishes she was ready to leave. On Jasper's 3rd day, teacher said he didn't eat much all day, I was worried and on the way home, we poped by McD drive through for fries.

She was so happy, to eat and share with Jasper all the way home and all the way till dinner time.
Ever since we do this for few days, each time she see us pass by McD she asked for fries. I did it so often until Joshua say cannot be everyday. So I started to try making fries using our oven, although not as tasty, it's healthier without oil and cheaper!

On 5th April, during her nap she coughed and vomitted, stained her pillows and blankets. On 6th April, she peed in her pants. She saw the blankets that I rinsed and let out to dry in back toilet, asked me "Why didn't bring that to Little Legend?"

In morning while waiting for me to get ready to send to LL, I try to get her to read simple Peter & Jane, she attempted to read herself after some days, but she only did 2 pages. I myself wasn't consistent on this as well otherwise I believe she would've been able to read more.
Every morning she consumes one box of UHT milk. We switched to a smaller pack i.e. 200ml because she seems to vomit out after drinking 250ml pack.

One night, we were eating Singaporean fried mee hoon. It is a little spicy and she asked for it, we let her try and although she kept going for lots of water, she still wants to eat more.

Her so far one-way communication with didi :
"You dont want to come with me ah?"
"You want mummy ah?"
One time, she wanted him to follow her, she went to pull his fringe! So funny!

Another funny moment with Jasper, they were bathing together, she calls Jasper's kukubird "ladybird". I corrected her. Then she asked Jasper to use his kukubird to play with the toy cup. Like what?! @.@

Sharing snacks with Jasper.

This is what she did when playing with the wooden blocks.

Playtime with didi.
Wears helmet and taking turns to ride on the yellow car.

Upstairs, this is their car.

Sits on the rocking chair occassionally.
Sharing the rocking chair with didi.

Her life size baby to be fed.

Pretend taking care of her baby doll. The Peter & Jane book is the blanket.

We kept jasper in playpen when she plays with porcelain tea set.
Her princess moments and watching favourite cartoon PJ mask. She can sing the song!

Created a hospital in masterbedroom.

Very good girl, mostly just sleep through the night.

Water colouring time, she used the water colour gel (a present from Moses) to draw a monster with many legs. Love her imaginations. :)

I asked her whether she wants to keep her hair long, as I plan to trim her hair. She said yes. I asked, long like Odelia? She said yes. So I only trimmed her fringe and a little bit of the top hair to make it less heavy and draggy.

Still, when I apply insect repellent on her feet, she will remind "You don't put on my hand ah?"

10th April, LL fund raising event in church.
She performed the Master Builder song again! Did even better this time, with nice smiles on her face and lesser scratching nose. They waited in the air con room at back stage throughout the dinner, caught a cold. I should've prepared a jacket.

One night, before sleep, she suddenly said "sometimes I like to sleep all day, sometimes I like to play in the chair, sometimes I like to read, sometimes I like to play with my piggy bank, sometimes etc etc...." :) She's really growing up.

She requested that she bring one of her pink bolsters to LL. So I sew her name on the bolster case while she tries to take a nap. She saw me doing and asked me why do I keep pulling the thread, I asked her to come over to observe. She asked me to show her when I'm done with the sewing, I showed her. Then I said next I was going to sew my clothes (to correct some broken threads), she asked "you want to sew your name?" :)  Then she hugged the bolster with her name on, to sleep.

12th April, at night she said she was tired and didn't want to brush teeth. Midnight, she cried and called "Mummy". I went over to sleep next to her. Then Jasper came down from our bed at 3am, walked over to the room to look for me. I then took him and went back to the master bedroom to feed him milk. An hour later, Jasmine came over with her pillow and blanket. She saw that he was sleeping in middle, she asked me to carry didi away. Then she rearrange her place to sleep and asked Joshua for nen nen.

13th April, she was playing at home, alone. She pretended that zach zach and Natasha were there, she pointed at them angrily and said "if you take more than once, I will put spicy noodle in your face!" We were laughing when we hear that, she looked at us and said "don't laugh at me ah"

I've been arranging her bed and suddenly this month she wanted to rearrange her bed herself. Putting the yellow square pillow in middle of 2 big flat pillows. She calls it beautiful bed.

14th April, before sleep, she said to me "Jesus died for us in the cross so that I can go to church" Trust the LL teachers to be teaching them bible values at such young age. :)

Weekend, took her to see Dr Koe for her coughs. Doctor said for her coughs and running nose, take Acthicist syrup. And the antiobiotics that was given a week ago, to feed one more time and throw. And she has no more phlegm thus no need to take salbutamol anymore.

Looks forward to use the bathroom because of the small toilet bowl.

15th April, she didn't take afternoon nap. I told her she can read books quietly if she doesn't want to sleep, so she read the books and I heard her counted in Chinese, also saw her reading the vintage alphabet book. Even though I napped next to her, she was still wide awake. Then that evening we were having baby shower at Laura's house, she also followed along and play with Kara.

That weekend, she suddenly had fever up to 38 degrees when she was sleeping. We fed her medicine again (just stopped the flu & cough medicine).. and thank God before Monday her fever was no more.

Update from LL teacher, it's been 2 weeks Jasper goes to LL with her. In LL she will go and hug Jasper but Jasper will push her away and sometimes she may end up hitting the wall but still laughing happily. She really takes care of Jasper in LL now. eg nap time upstairs, she asked whether she can go and take a look at Jasper who is in another room. :)

Milk time at home.
See the legs?

Facetime with mummy after daddy picks up from LL.

Dinner time, she eats quite slowly, requiring us to feed her.

Blow hair time. She can do number 3 with her fingers now! Didn't use to be able to do this before.

Puts on daddy's colourful socks from daiso and so happy.
Compared to Jasper, she's such a lady.

Shows didi how to play with the auto train set from Daiso. Didi wow-ed.

Plays with ducky float. Pretend to sleep and relax with a hidden smile.
I got this down in video too, she's very cheeky. I like her sense of humor.
Nail varnish time. Alternate colours on toes and fingers. She picks the colour completely on her own. Climbed up the yellow stool, opened my dresser drawer and picked out the 2 colours. We asked whether she wants one hand pink, one hand blue, or alternate fingers pink & blue? She picked the latter. Ah Yi is her nail varnish sifu.

Do workbook after dinner. We are slacking on this and I am getting less patient with her too. Sigh.
Random art time during weekend.
Bought from daiso the puncher and punches out the snow shape. She enjoys it a lot. Punch and glue to paper. This is her second round doing, while Joshua's doing stuffs in kitchen and I was not home.

19th April, in the car, she requested from me for hot cocoa, so I made hot milo for her just before her bed time milk. The hot cocoa concept came from the donald duck Christmas Eve storybook that recently was her favourite. Almost every night she wants to read it. And she knows Jasper always read the Honey Rabbit book, she will pass the book to him.

19th April, before bed she said she wants milk. I said cannot but she kept on repeating "nen nen" I told her if drink now, then next morning no milk in the car, she happily said "Ok!". So Anne went to make the nen nen for her... while waiting she sang in bed "I got nen nen, I got nen nen". Drank and sleep.... just as she has fallen asleep, she vommitted out :( :( :( I made her promise that she will not ask for extra nen nen again. So much to clean up!

22nd April, we went back to Muar!
Got ready to go to the zoo.

Went to the mini zoo which we've been about 2 years ago. Sad to see that the zoo has shrunk in size and taken over by a wet park. I guess the wet park attracted more people but the zoo is more educational. It was too hot for us to really enjoy, but we still saw a peacock with its feather all displayed.

Saw different animals like porcupine, different sort of birds (some I call it the bird who has bad hair day), tortoises, chickens, turkeys and others that we don't know the name.

There are also horses and a little pony. We paid for her to ride the pony for 2 rounds. It's her favourite.

After the zoo, we drove to the nearby coconut farm to buy fresh coconuts. Managed to show her the coconut farm, coconut trees that has big & small coconut fruits. I think she didn't manage to see how the coconuts were opened because the next door maid came over with her parang to help open it during her nap time.

This time we took back the inflatable pool to Muar, planned to let them play water at the back but because they both were still having running nose and heavy green eye discharge, and weather is so hot outside... we end up inflating the pool and use it indoor.
Filled it with lots of blankets and pillows and it became the place Jasmine & Jasper took their afternoon naps.

Also that night, Joshua went out to play video games, while waiting for him to come back, I put both of them to sleep in it, they slept soundly under the air con and fan, then around 2am, we took them upstairs.

23rd April 5.45am she heard Jasper cry for milk, she said she also wants.
I noticed that her one eye is not opened and asked Joshua to check. It's sticked together due to the green eye discharge. Started off it was Jasper who had lots of green discharge and then in Muar it was passed to Jasmine. She got it worse, till her eye lids were sticked together. I had to use warm towel to wipe it away in order for her to open her eyes to drink milk and sleep again.

Advised by Evelyn to apply Fucidin cream on her lower eye lid. I didn't know how to apply so Evelyn applied it for her. It was very uncomfortable for Jasmine but she was a brave girl who went through it without trouble for us. However, the next day she still has a lot of green discharge. It's not so visible when she's awake, only when she woke up from sleep you can see all of it accumulates on the corner of her eyes. So after her nap at 4.45pm, we applied the antiobiotic eye drops straight away. We monitor until at night, it seems the discharge is reducing.

Piano session upstairs. I think we need to start piano lesson at home in 2018?

Took CRV to go out for dinner.

They made lots of mess in the Muar living room and also kitchen.
Anyway during their nap, I cleared the small room upstairs and found this box that's perfect for her to play pretend make up.

24th April, she was passing pacifier to Jasper, Anne and I found it very funny and cute because of the way she communicates with Jasper but she didn't like us laughing at her, so she cried. -_-

Still request for milo (hot cocoa) before bed, kept repeating "I want I want I want"... I gave in and so she drank half cup and promised that she will not request for midnight milk. At 12am, I went over to wipe away her eye discharge, she turned to the other side and said "cat". I think this is her first time sleeping talking.

We went to Sunway Lagoon twice.
This is the first time we went. We were hoping it won't rain but it started drizzling just as we arrived.

We could only stay indoor to watch the tiger and bears. Not even able to go feed the tortoises.

Second time we went and finally tackled the suspension bridge.

At first, she was ok crossing the bridge on her own, but when the bridge starting to be transparent where you can totally see what's beneath us, she got scared (Jasper too) and only wanted to be carried.
She pointed out that the bridge stop looks like castle.

After we crossed the bridge, it started to rain, we were at the sand beach and she wanted to play with the sand.

There was a set of beach toys that someone lend to us to play.

We played for a while, rain gets heavier & heavier... I told Joshua that we should change them up and go into Pyramid for dinner.

We met with Khoos and Wongs for buffet dinner. Outside the dinner place, there's a thomas train activity going on. We took some photos with the train only No time no energy to take number and queue to join the activity. Too long the queue.

EY ladies catch up dinner, receive presents from Rachel, from Singapore. Dot dot art colour pens.
Also took her along for Tara's birthday party.
Well behaved girl, played petting the artificial flamingo.

Science project with daddy on Saturday morning. Not really a successful one though... need to do more.

Marching into Acts Kids.

Pretend LL teacher tell story.

Dress up daddy as princess.

Ate super xo durian. We all enjoyed eating the durian.

One day, after LL, once enter the house Jasmine tried to arrange the white & rotan stools nex tto the sofa to lie down to rest. Head on sofa, legs on the stools. But the white stool collapse (it's not a good stool) causing her to fell foward on the rotan stool. Her mouth hit the stool, not very hard but painful enough that made her cry. Thank God her teeth are fine.

She takes care of Jasper now really like a big big sister. She holds his hands, feed him, share food with him and sometimes Jasper wants to open a certian toy, she asked him to ask daddy to open etc.

She asked me when is her birthday. I took opportunity to tell her the months of the year. Started off by her counting down to April where didi joins at her Little Legend. So I told her April is finishing, we are going into the month of May. And your birthday is in September.

I joked with her that her bum bum is like tau fu. She told me that yes like tau fu cut in half. So funny! Then I joked somemore calling tau fu during bathtime, she suddenly got mad and screamed angrily "my bum bum is not tau fu!" Hahahaha....

Visit baby Avalily, she also brought along her "baby".
We had the chance to tell her that she used to be this tiny. She understands the concept and often likes to say "When I was a baby, I like to do this? You carry me like this?"

We went for dinner nearby - roti canai and she too enjoyed eating the maggi goreng.
She's becoming a cute chatterbox. :) :) I am really proud.
