Mini Milestones : Jasper's 18th month

Big boy now pushes jeje in the yellow car.

He is slowly growing to like food eg. fried fish. And we found out he is a soup boy!
Sometimes when feeding him gets tough, we show him balloon song videos. He loves it.
We also started letting him watch dog videos eg. secret life of pets and bingo song.

Rare times, I had to feed him last few mouths following him around like under the tables.

He likes cheese based food eg pizza and cheese bun. We noticed he only eat the toppings. 

3rd May, bitten by Zyon & Elijah at Little Legend. His forehead & head knocked the wall when teacher tried to stop. We didn't like it but Joshua showed great dissatisfaction during pick up. Teacher's observation is that other kids knows how to avoid the bites, but Jasper wasn't quick enough. And he did try to bite them back, and teacher put him on time out.

He points at babies and say "baby".
When I asked where's mummy's baby he points to his own chest. I call him baby most of the time. :)

To my surprise, he understands what we say. One night before dinner, I gave him some cornflakes. Jasmine also asked me for cornflakes, I told her "Ask didi to give you" and before Jasmine say anything Jasper already passed cornflakes to her. Then Jasmine asked for somemore.. and when the cornflakes are finishing, he whacks her when she asking for somemore. -_-

He is so hard to discipline compared to Jasmine. He whacks me back too after I whack him. He really tried to hit me back. -_-
One time during dinner, he was watching video on my phone half way and then he just threw it on the floor.
Also, we warned many many times during the chalk drawing at the back, no eating chalk. Still, he puts the purple chalk into his mouth.
He blows into his food like jeje as if the food is hot. He says "hot" too, but sounds like "hah".

I always give them a bowl when they are having snacks, until Jasper always request for a bowl without fail. And sitting down is important, otherwise there will be crumbs all over the living room floor and sofa. 

Here they are sharing snacks in living room, Jasmine wasn't that willing to share. 

But Jasper knows how to get his way into the pack of food, either by force or make his crying sound to get our attention. Sometimes, he will call "jeje! jeje!" like begging her to share.

Puts sticker on his face himself.

He is loving stickers now, one night, he got one whole piece of stickers to himself, he enjoyed walking to and fro, to put the aeroplane stickers on my t-shirt, one by one.

Very cheeky, likes to come hugging me from behind still and chuckles happily.

Also likes to wrestle or sit on me like riding a horse.

Request to wear Jeje's panty and once we put it on and he sees in mirror, he's overjoyed.

Jumping and hopping around.

Asked for another panty. So he had 2 panties on.

Refused to come to change into pyjamas, when we call come, he runs opposite direction.

And look back at us with that smile, waiting for us to call again or come catch him.

Finally caught and locked, otherwise he will escape again.

Pick up at Little Legend. When he sees me, he will rush to the door and calls Mama.

8th May, when I carry him upon arrival at LL but I was talking to Jasmine. He kept saying "shoe shoe shoe" which sounds like "shih shih shih". Then I finally took his shoes and put on for him, then put him down. He went to take Jasmine's shoes for her. First time. After that he started to like to put his own shoes on the shelf, and also picks out his own shoes from it in evening. 

That night, he vomited milk in his sleep on the bed and also after feeding on my t-shirt. It's small amount. He was having blocked nose and coughing. 

16th May, at LL during snack time he refused to eat papaya even after teacher Grace threaten that he cannot have fish biscuits. Even Jasmine fed him the papaya, he spits out. Finally Grace gave in, let him have the fish biscuits to avoid him feeling hungry by evening. 

17th May, he says "bye bye ah" to Teacher Mickee. Teacher Grace said he puts his finger in front of his friends (Zyon included), but his friend had to hold back from biting it.
He also refuse to sit still during class time, and willing to be locked on high chair as time out. 

Joshua sometimes play guitar to entertain the kids and Jasper loves guitar! We are looking to buy a toy guitar for him. 

Sometimes after service we let him go near the stage to see the guitars too. 

We went to Mr DIY to look for one but they don't have. :(
He found a car toy and fell in love with it. Said "kah" and "koh" and made the vroom vroom sound while pushing the car on the floor.

Joshua caught it on video.

Also played with play doh tubs water and water shooter etc. Refused to let go of the water shooter at the check out counter.

He also could push (or tried to push) the trolley.

At last we decided to spend around RM6.50 for a pack of 3 cars for him.. because of how attached he was to the big container (contains blocks) that also function as a toy car.

He holds on to it very tight and refuse to let go.

Straight away let him play when we arrive home.

At homes, he helps himself with Isabel & Elijah's toys. All his favourite, car. 

And guitar.

I DIY-ed some toy helmets using rafia strings on the ball toy from E.Laine. I intend to send this toy to donation... but then they are now repurposed as helmets.

Look at him fell down.. but he didn't cry. :)

Jasper generally likes aeroplane, cars, helmets, baby, birds.
When he wants us to open something, he said "peh" or "o-peh". or "api".
Says nene, mama, wow wow (dog), nana (banana), beh (peng peng peng gun sound), apple (a-poh).
He also saying chair (ceh), hot (hah) with hand action.

At the playground, he now plays like big kid. He sits on the swing like Jasmine. And also other rides.

It rained that day but Joshua was determined to still visit the playground. With a towel he wipe dry the rides before putting them on.

We did a movie night, where we watched Angry Bird on Netflix trial, when we laughed, he too started to love laughing.

And that's how he manja with daddy sometimes. It's past his bedtime.

Everynight he will wake up and end up on our bed.

Sometimes even before I go to bed. 

One night I slept on the floor mattress because I had a bit of insomnia, at 4am he couldn't find me and came down to the floor mattress to look for me. I had leg cramps so I had to ask Joshua to help.

25th May morning, he was as usual on our bed. I went to bath and then we heard Jasmine cry. He also woke up and cry, ran to the room and shouted "jeje!". I went straight to the room after I come out from the bathroom. I saw that Jasmine was having swollen eyes and needed to take Aerius. So I left him (still crying) with Ah Yi and took Jasmine downstairs to take medicine.

Hair trim, couldn't sit still, I had to continue cutting while he water the plants.

10th May, we went to Sunway Lagoon (Anne, me, kids & Yee See Rayson Lisa) but he refused to enter the pool again.
13th may, made some water play for them, refused to sit inside the tub.
I plan to also start swimming video that Jasmine used to watch so make him interested in dipping in the pool, but he wasn't interested in it at all, all he wanted is wow wow videos.

He is very happy and comfortable just sitting on the stool by the tub.

At last he only stood for a short while in the tub and couldn't wait to come out.

He loves hanging out on the swing.

We went to Courtyard for dinner and he saw his table outside the restaurant, and then comfortably sat in it.

After some info from LL teachers, seems like LL has cabinets as narrow as this and he likes to sit in it too.

Science Project.- we tried our best to do on free saturdays but we couldn't be consistent due to the many weekend plans and lack of preparations & planning. Anyway, here we did one and involved Jasper.

And another simple one, where Jasper participated too. 

When Joshua carried him and look at his watch, he pretended to look at his "watch" i.e. his wrist too. This is so similar to Jasmine before.
Here at dinner, we entertained him with ang pows.

Bath time, I tried to do funky hair styles for im and show him on mirror.

Bath with jeje, where both will play with the cups and then.. always Jasper come out first. He never go without a fight.

Likes to stand on chair and jump. Does it repeatedly. I warned him not to do it. After I warned he pretend to jump. Like almost jump but didn't. -_-

One night, we were taking turns to sing ABC song together with Jasmine and when we say it's Jasper's turn, he really tried to sing ABC song! It's short and hardly pronouncing correctly but the melody was there.

Party at Kongs. Jasper didn't want to eat properly, but he ate about 2 sausages.

Watering plants.

Heard birds chirping in morning before we go to LL, he imitated "ji ji ji ji ji" while eating on plain bread in the living room.

At home, he gently bitten Jasmine's finger when she didn't let him play with the singing bus.
In LL, he also tried to bite Zyon's fingers.. Teacher said he bite but not the type where Zyon will feel painful.

After we come back from LL, just before I go out to take the bags in, he calls out to me, pointing to the sofa seat (indicating for me to sit down) and said "ne ne!". :)

He observed Joshua drink cold water from fridge and laughed cheekily when Joshua looks at him after he swallowed the water. 

Nen nen time at living room. Always when he knows milk bottle is to be served, he will run towards the mat and lie down.

Loves to read before bed. He's gone on to ask us to read a lot more of other books. Among his favourite are the pat the bunny (because of bunny sleeping page where he could do shhhh with finger in his nosetril), peter & jane (mainly because of dog pictures), Daniel in lion's den (because of the lion). 

At A&W. Likes to eat fries. 

Vommited after church at mamak village but only had Jasmine's t-shirt in our bag. We had no choice but to change him into jeje's t-shirt. Tried to wear it inside out but still the frills on collar and sleeves cannot be hidden. We all couldn't stop laughing.

We said the girly t-shirt couldn't hide his manliness. Hehehe.

After that we discovered a place full of things to browse through and Jasper was non-stop with the toys, cars...

We are happy that he didn't insist on us to buy any of those toys. Haha. 

He was very tired and willing to sit in stroller when we leave. 

Sunway Lagoon - he fell asleep while we were on our way there. We tried to put him for a nap before this but he refused to, very active playing in living room. 

Woke up when we took the Wagon Wheel ride. 

Up close with the lion. He can do a very good lion roar.

Saw some flamingoes.

Fed tortoise!

And pointed at rabbit. :)

Joshua was in toilet with Jasmine. Then he ran to the toilet to tells Joshua "poo poo" when he really already pooped in his diaper.

Groceries shopping. He cannot sit long in the trolley. -_- We wish he could...

Loves to eat banana. Calls it "nana" even without bananas at home he asks for nana by pointing at the banana hook on dining table. 

What we didn't like was he starts playing with the banana after eating it half way. He will insist on holding it together with it's skin, then he will even attempt to eat the skin.. and then squeeze the banana like play doh. 

End of the month, he even snatched banana from Ah Yi's hand and sat on kitchen floor, next to the rubbish bin and eat it happily. 

First time see daddy having a hair cut.

Found the thomas train on our table and wanted to play with it. This makes me remind Joshua to get the batteries again to make it work. So I ordered rechargeable ones from Lazada.

Jediah's birthday party where they could catch fishes. 

We took him to the back to look at dog, his favourite. 

Nap time on weekend. He always end up sweating in the playpen even when he's already directly under the fan.

Playing play doh (he pretends they are milk) or play stacking together with Ah Yi.

Followed us to Young Family Ministry dinner with Pastor Kenneth and Pastor Sandra.
At Rakuzen, he could stay quiet throughout the dinner, only occassionally scream "car!" then Joshua let him watch video when he started to get bored. After that I took him out to run about, he saw the thomas train and went nuts. He kept on running towards it and while sitting on it he pretended to be driving a car.
After that, Jasmine came to join.

And they found toy cars at the side, near toilet where they can sit in! We didn't know who it belonged to but the kids had so much fun in it. Jasper only knew how to go backwards.

Wrestling with jeje sometimes.

Play doh first time! Joshua was tasked to supervise.

Had Mcd ice cream at the McD playground. He's only 18 months old and ate so many big kid's food.

Joined Acts kids first time on 14th May. He puts up hand when teacher asked "who wants stickers" and he obviously loves to play with balls.

He got a guitar (blue one) to play with and he hit it on the floor continuously, causing a crack.

I took out new toothpaste for him and Jasmine. It's Jasper's first toothpaste!

Both of them started to pose with it when I asked them to smile for the camera 

He is very funny! I had it on video too.

He loves old cucumber soup. Joshua cooked it and he ate it for one whole week as dinner, either with rice or pasta. He insisted on feeding himself, although ends up really messy, Joshua said better than letting him watch video. So we accepted the mess. Jasper even wanted to eat my pan mee. He is now very expert in using spoon, putting food into his mouth. Towards the end he even put the pan mee in his soup and then scoop it up to eat. I didn't like it when he used the spoon to touch my shoulder to ask me to give him more pan mee. I couldn't catch up with his speed. After that dinner, Joshua said his stomach is very big, imagine rice, old cucumber soup with chicken and then pan mee from my bowl. He is officially eating much better than previous months!

We also went to Rayson Yee See's house end of this month, to join the Amway home meeting for first time. Jasper went upstairs on his own few times to look for "jeje" he kept pointing up. Then few times Yee See took him down because he started looking for mama. Upstairs he plays with magic pens till his fingers full of colours. In between Yee See gave him weetameal biscuits and he happily eat sitting on the small stool among us. When he finish eating he asked me "More?" to which I said to ask from Aunty Yee See. He really did. And when Yee See is upstairs, I made him go to Uncle Rayson to ask for more. In total he ate 4 pieces. 

He can say please in the cutest way!! "Pis?" before I feed him nen nen. It's almost effortless for him. :) :)

Jasper has grown so much and starting to communicate! Lets hope I am able to stay discipline in documenting them all down. :) Proud of you my little man!!
