Dec 2020
We inherited a new grasshopper from Jen May. She caught it after it fainted after eating a succulent which had been sprayed with pesticides.
She thought it died , put in a container and then it woke up again.
So we went to collect and put it into the aquarium.
They name it Bobo. So we have Bobo and Janet. But one morning, we found it dead in the aquarium among the new fresh leaves.
I guess the pesticides has killed it eventually.
We have to clean the aquarium...after removing the dead Bobo.
Here's the kids trying to play with the dead Bobo.
And we received a present from Orion's mum! A fresh pupa!
We try to play 大头娃娃 to exercise the kids memory brains... but Jasper cannot accept failure. Haha.Ok he say he shall team up with me instead.
Always asking us to check whether he's wiped his bum bum clean. Haha.
She can fall asleep just like this... I told her to read through her standard 1 text books as much as she can.. because we need to return to the school soon and exchange to standard 2 books.
They still sharing room with daddy's office. Jasper's side is always very hot, often find him in a pool of sweat.
Here's me returning to school for the text books exchange.
Jasper doing his art & craft at home.. assignment from Summer Academy.
Every evening I will ask them to play outside and here is where they play and learn how to climb the swing like a monkey bar.
I have not seen them doing these and this being my first time I was really surprised and shocked.
I asked "since when you learn to do these?" Jasmine replied "everyday you ask us to come out, we do this la"
This is photo we collected from Summer Academy as they ended the school year of 2020. Photo taken before the 2nd lock down.
This is Jasper's birthday breakfast!!!
American breakfast cooked by daddy.
We bought a birthday cake, which he can use for his celebration with school via zoom class.
That's how we celebrate via zoom.... not so fun I must admit.
Always after they bath we will see wet towels on the floor... soiled laundry... -_-
My baby's long tail :) He asked me to cut it few times but I told him no.... I have one more year.
Look at this length!
Look at the chubby fingers. :)
Wrapping Christmas gifts and writing messages.
This is another art work assigned by Summer Academy. I am very frustrated with the items I have to find for him to complete the craft. :(
But he is really happy with this. Ok la..
We went to the OC at Main Place and managed to buy new slippers for both of them. Fastest shopping ever. I am glad they get to upgrade to good slippers.
I re-arranged their bed position finally!! This is so that both of them get the fan coverage evenly.
Never cut hair for a year.... only the fringe.
We are getting ready for Christmas countdown so I asked for their ideas. Jasmine compiled this list for me, haha.
Done! 12 envelopes, 12 activities for 12 days. The paper in the middle is their timetable, something to guide them on what to do everyday, they don't really follow up and often get scolding from me. How do we train them to be disciplined?
Anyway they asked Ah Yi for Christmas presents and she passed me her credit card to buy anything below RM500 for both. That's a huge budget!!! Under Joshua's guidance they got these!

We woke up on Jasper's birthday morning to see the pupa already turn into a butterfly! We missed the transformation.... :( :( Wish we can witness it.
So here they are observing it before we release it to the wild.
Jasper have no guts to hold the butterfly. Haha.
He quickly distant himself from Jasmine as Jasmine open the bottle. :D
It finally flew out, isn't she beautiful?
Released it to the back. :) Bye bye thanks for the good time!

Jasper get the paw patrol truck and Jasmine picked Barbie's snack bar. I went to get Christmas presents for Daniel & Tiffany while they pick these out.
They have fun playing together.
Before we drive home they requested to take a look at the tortoise, due to covid, they can only see it from the car...
Jasmine's last Lick Hung online class with English teacher Miss Eng.
Rehearsal for Daniel's wedding.
I did this hair style for Jasmine.
19th Dec actual wedding day. They have to wear mask as they march down the aisle. Cheh.
Smallest wedding ever, below 20 people.
Christmas day, they get to open presents including the huge bag of Zalora clothes Ah Ma ordered for them.
Their favourite, Bat Man t-shirt and Elsa pyjamas.
Quiet Christmas for us... I ordered a turkey from Valarie (from Klang) and have Rina & Chris and Pat & Au Yong over. Was hoping we get to invite more people but many are not available.
Too much turkey for all of us actually.
Next morning Jasper say why is Rush so white and stoned? We then realised it has molted. It grew bigger each time it molts. Interesting fact. :)
We invited Mo and kids over for Christmas dinner too.
They enjoyed playing together.
The guys did catch up.
Last Christmas dinner was with the Chiams. We served our balance turkey again.
After that we went back to Muar!! Hallelujah, feels so good to be back home.
Ah Ma read a chinese story book to both of them. :)
Our target was for Jasper to learn to ride the bike! So we went to the track as often as we can, even though weather was gloomy.
See the umbrella? Because it's drizzling! :P
He did it !!!
Next morning, we are back again for more. It's very very hot and Jaspers still in pyjamas, that didn't stop us.
Go go go !!
He did it !
Very very proud of my little guy.
They cycled outside a lot , including parking their bikes the same place where we parked the cars.
Jasper will stay in this room (he asked me for a quiet place) to have his own privacy, not to be disturbed by Jolene, to play with his paw patrol trucks, but can't avoid to have Jolene asking to join in la.
More cycling in the evening.
One more photo of chubby fingers.
We are back in Subang Jaya. Jasper wanted us to go straight to Decathlon because Ah Ma is buying him new bike.
When we reach home I immediately wrap both up and put under our trees. Jasper kissed his wrapped paw patrol truck.
We went to Wee Liem's new place for lunch. The noodles was so yummy.
They have fun playing together.

One more grasshopper from Jen May, this time a junior grasshopper. They named him Rush. (Jasper named it)

We went next day la, our boot was full so it was not practical.
So this is his new bike!
We drove back to Alor Setar on 31st Dec, for Daniel's wedding dinner on 2nd Jan 2021. It's a very busy year end for us involving lots of driving.
Because we drove back we brought back the bikes, they went cycling immediately.
Just outside the house but we have to help to look out of the oncoming cars and motorbikes.
Jasper fell down a few times, knocked into Jasmine, being too near a parked car and frightened by Joshua's father etc. Very funny to see Jasper avoiding the car that caused him to fall down after that. And next day he rejoices when the car is no longer parked at the spot. :D
Jasmine found a RM20 bicycle basket compatible to her current bike, in fact the same cartoon. So yes we got it. Jasper also wanted basket but Joshua boys bike never have basket la.

Year 2020, year of us being affected by pandemic. We were unable to proceed with swim lessons as planned. (Year 2019 was our swimming year, more for Jasmine) As it turned out Year 2020 became the year both our kids learnt to cycle. Also the year they started to touch musical instruments - piano & drums. Lets see what we can achieve in Year 2021. :)
