Mini Milestones : Jasper's 62nd month (Jasmine's 89th month)

 Jan 2021

We still in Alor Setar for Daniel's wedding.

Brought back the slime kit gifted by Jessie (Orion's mum) and the kids had a lot of messy fun.

Dinner with the Kovolan's family.
We washed the old lesi and let the kids play.

Jasmine requested for weird hair styles.

More cycling outside.

Paddy field.

We are ready for the wedding dinner!

Small banquet room.

Photos taken by the photographer. I don't think the photos were nice. I prefer those from my phone.

On our way back from the wedding dinner, we saw this place that reminded us of Tanjong. Many people hang out here. We have the kids bikes behind our car, so we thought lets just let them cycle for few roun

Next day, after breakfast we were on our way back straight away. But... our car suffered not 1 but 2 flat tyres. We stopped at petrol station and waited for nearest mechanic to rescue us. We are thankful that we found a good mechanic just by calling random numbers on google.
Here we are waiting for the mechanic.
Arrived at mechanic and had to change all 4 tyres. Total bill RM930.

4th Jan, Joshua's birthday dinner at Citta Mall's Korean restaurant. I like their spicy soup noodles.

They made these for daddy's birthday.

Turned 39 !

Acaredemy! Started at Acaredemy for afternoon tuition after morning online classes.

Inherited some clothes from Kara again, including this baju melayu.

Weekend cycling again.

Summer Academy.

This is dressing up in Spanish theme!! Not bad? hehehe
Daddy's hat. My vest and my blue ribbon.

Joshua was making his sound proof box. Lets see how long he thinks he need this box. He suggested to soundproof the office corner, which means sealing up 2 windows!!! How crazy and unreasonable. So resorted to this. We shall see how important this is.

Cycling again. This time out from the front because bikes were in the car. No need to move to the back..

Trying to do science experiment... i think is the elephant toothpaste. Joshua used a long bottle which didn't show the overflowing of the white foam.

Cycling outside while we trim our plants.
Bought a crepe cake to indulge in!!
It's everyone's favourite!!

11th Jan, met with Dentist Lee. Jasmine is getting a Myo Brace!
She has 3 molar (permanent) surfaced and another one also soon will be coming out.
Making a mould.
Learning how to keep the brace in the mouth.
Earnt a surprise egg after the dental visit. Doctor Lee say she has 3 of 4 molars (permanent teeth which won't be replaced like other teeth) surfaced. Another one is also gonna surface soon. It's good that she didn't complain of any oral discomfort or have any fever.

Need to sleep with the myobrace in the mouth for at least 2 years.

New booster seats in Forte.
In Serena we are still using the old car seats. Still not sure what we should upgrade to!

Another outfit from Kara or Natalie.. can't remember.
Dress up in the room again.

Password to enter her room is 879 Glow Diamond.
This is where Jasmine's morning online classes happens.
Sometimes I dont follow them.. and that will be the time Joshua will bump into his friend Celine. So weird.
They both are super good at climbing all over this yellow swing.

Look at that!

Look at my monkey!

Always remember to bring water because her bike has a basket.

We now keep the bikes at the back covered by an old bedsheet. Not ideal.... but the most convenient.
Trying to think plans of how to make this kitchen work better for us. Uncle Au Yong's idea of moving the fridge away sounds genius!!! So I am always thinking about the plan...
This is my work spot. Yes I work here everyday just like this. On a wooden chair.
And she's here. :)

This is the office corner that Joshua plans to move into. We would like to paint the walls.
So we picked the paint colour. I remember taking Jasmine with us to the shop and met with a very rude and sarcastic lady. She condemned us for taking Jasmine along to select paint. Relax lady!! None of your business.

Anyway the night before we paint, we removed the blinds, patched the holes and used painters tape to tape around all the things we want to avoid getting paint on. It took me at least an hour just to get the line straight, the one on the far left.

Painting time!!
The square is my test spots. When I started with the corners I realise I dont know how to cover the squares, they might appear to be much darker than the surrounding.
This is after 1 coat with a very very bad roller. That's why it is very patchy looking.
2 coats in. Changed to a new roller bought from Mr. DIY. Also have managed to use the normal white coat to lightly lighten the test spots and corners which looked too dark to blend in with the rest.
3rd and 4th coat.
After the stressful painting day, I was stress because the colour looks black to me in so many ways and I didn't want black walls! But the finished outcome was great. I should'nt have worries so much because next to white, black and brown, the green will naturally pop. :)
Below is our zebra blinds! After much survey and getting multiple quotes (so mistake in windows measurement I gave out).... we finally decided on this black with black mesh zebra blinds. I think this was RM1300 if not wrong... plus a very good and professional installer.
Finally moving out from the kids room. Can you imagine the smallest room in the house getting the most activities in? That's why we decided to change.
With the additional space spared, we brought in the Ikea Lack table for them, one each and they were quick to start populating their tables with their favourite things.
I also opened up the alarm clocks gifted by Aunty Puah for Christmas, to each of them. Jasper likes it so much he made sure the clock is facing him when he lies down in bed, so that he can see it.

Just few weeks wearing the brace, the 1 crooked tooth in the lower gum has lined up with the rest.

Went to Mhub office for a quick tour while Joshua settles some stuffs, also tried to use the printer to print script but unable to connect via USB.

Spiderman pyjamas from Ah Ma!
Pretended this place is her bed...
Can see we still using the extension cord to power her laptop. It came from the piano socket... one day this extension cord has some sparks. It was scary. We knew immediately we must add a socket to this corner in order for us to avoid being electrocuted.

Height for Jasmine is 116cm while Jasper is 112cm.
Weight for Jasmine is 18.7kg while Jasper is 17.3kg. (Daddy is 83.4kg and mummy is 53.1kg)

Play in the rain with an umbrella that's half broken.
Hair cut? I don't remember.. maybe just a trim on the fringe.

Don't worry Jasmine still keeps the long hair. :)

They created some funny English words like "brang" as past tense of bring. And braken as past tense of broke. Hahaha. After we correct them, the word especially brang is still being used commonly!

We heard Jasper said to Jasmine once "how can you leave your brother alone?" That's a very needy pushy little boy demanding attention from his sister.

Jasper also caught sleep talking this month.. in his sleep he said "you so rude, I don't want to play with you forever" we will never know who was in the dream la. Haha.
