Mini Milestones : Jasper's 63rd month (Jasmine's 90th month)

 Feb 2021 

We bought a hamster for them. 

They decided on black and white colour hamster. 

We initially wanted to get a guinea pig so that it is bigger and more cuddly but due to space, we decided to switch to hamster, so the biggest kind of hamster, the Syrian hamster who must be left alone, so makes it easy, just buy 1. 

Thankful that can send Jasper to Summer Academy everyday. Not sure can be for how long but we take it as long as it is open!

Once he brought a small soldier toy in his pocket to school and he shows to his friend Zara during their nap time. He also told me to pack socks in his nap bag and he uses it to pretend it's fishes. 

One super funny thing he told me, is during his nap time school, he touches his own knuckles to sleep, hahaha!

Jasmine is doing her online class at home. I let her attend her classes here downstairs. 

In the afternoon send her to Acaredemy. 

Ting Ting Lao Shi say Jasper still needs improvement in writing Chinese words. 

The school has a mini sale, so we got the kids to spend their money to buy book marks. 

Evening, we take them to the park to cycle, actually we let them cycle to the park from behind our house. 

We get to kick some balls at the field. 

Quickly take some photos before it starts to rain. 

This is when letting go their grasshopper Janet, because we are getting a hamster. Say bye to Janet!

Getting ready the hamster case for our hamster Jar Jar Bean! 

Name inspired by Star Wars's Jah Jah Binks, he's an outcast. Suits a Syrian hamster. 

It's Chinese New Year... we can't go anywhere.. We can't go back to Muar. So we made our own steamboat... 

And then take some photos together. This is our MCO squad. 

And then Joshua did a video project for the kids. Jasmine wrote a simple story board and Joshua helped to make it into a video. Jasper is starring as naughty boy in the story. 

And this girl is the story teller. 

The video is not published to public, we only share with family and friends.

I've only held it a few times because it took turn to bite Jasmine's finger and then Jasper's finger (until bleed!!) so I was quite angry at it. Sorry can't give my motherly love for a rodent. 

I will forever miss my baby being a baby. He's growing up so fast. 

And then my another baby who of course not so baby anymore, but still manja. 

Look at this cheeky baby. 

One night Jasmine asked Jasper to wake up in the midnight so that they all can come over to our room together. They really did! And then Jasmine just slept on the Ikea Lounge.

I bought both of them blue light protection glasses. 

Let him bring flowers to give to his teachers as Valentine's Day presents. 

Try to play badminton at this field, it's hard because of the wind. 

They love cycling. 

Caught Jar Jar Bean sleeping in the sandbox. 

We bought this pool for around RM90, it's quite big and quite deep. 

Joshua cannot stand long finger nails. 

Jasper is trying to read One Fish Two Fish, very slowly. Few pages a day.... 

In terms of mandarin, I randomly asked ting ting laoshi how is Jasper doing at school she say he's a bit slow esp lack of patience when writing chinese words. So she started to send me writing videos to let Jasper learn to write at home, following the correct bi hua. It requires lots of discipline from us to do this with him every night before he sleep. I have to video him writing the words while saying the bi hua and then send to Ting Ting laoshi, then she will give him star in school. 

Writing this on 11th July, such a long overdue update... so hard to find time to keep up honestly. Lets hope things get better from here on. My kids deserve my time on these. :)
