Mini milestone in Jared's 3rd month

18 Apr to 17 May

First official day at Aunty Soo Lee. She messaged to say Jared cried so loud because he just pooped & hungry to drink milk after bath. 

We gave the avent bottle to Aunty Soo Lee, leaving only 1 more at home and we really need 2. So I went to Mothercare and bought another one. Who knows another kind of funny challenge came our way, the new bottle's teat collapses!!! Jared was extremely frustrated when it happens, and I also got so mad because it means Jared is drinking in more wind than not. I tried the tricks found online to squeeze it all directions but doesn't solve it. I end up went to buy 1 more set of new teats, and because just buying teats, I bought 1 size bigger i.e. for 3 months old & above... oh mai... another problem!! When Jared uses it, the milk flow was too fast, it splash out from his mouth!! I cannot believe why our problems with bottles and teats doesn't just stop?! So now, we are avoiding the 3mo teat as much as we can..... 

Daddy work late.. 9.20pm and still not yet return.

Try to wear brace as consistently as we can. Am so proud of my little warriors. 

Jasmine doesn't close her mouth during sleep, she said the brace level 2 is too big. So doctor gave her this popsicle stick exercise to do, for 30 mins before sleep. Lets hope we can be consistent!

Morning 6.55am before school.

Jasper is also in yellow team, same as Jasmine.

I pump 3 hourly but each pump I only get 2 ounces which is so little... but better than zero... 

27 April, about just 1 week + of me using the breast pump 3 times a day, it broke! Just suddenly stopped working. I quickly find the warranty card and realise the service centre is at SS18 only, so I rushed over. They loaned me a smaller pump for RM100 until they fix mine. To my surprise this smaller unit works slightly better and I love it being so portable!

Another morning. Sometimes Jared would wake up already. The better times are when he's still asleep when we get them ready for school.

Piano class on going here. Fridays 5pm.

Jasmine's work is getting better. Her chinese words definitely has improved. 

Ok we misplaced this tiny blue bow tie, sigh. So angry at myself for that. 

This is a question came up by Jasmine. I think she's playing "school". Haha. 

I like a weekend like this where they can do creative stuffs quietly. 

Jasper is an expert in using our robot vaccum and cordless vacuum stick!

He's going to be a wonderful husband and father. Hehe.

I often asked for them help to flip Jared over when he's crying. So what we say is let him do Negaraku hands before flip over. Hehe. 

So I tried to take photo of Jared, and then Jasper said....

Finally back to Sunday service! Jared's first time! Pastor Steven and Bee Kim always so warm to welcome us. 

We don't really like this car seat, the lock is too low down everytime it ends up underneath Jared's buttock when we put him in. And it's always close to impossible to buckle in without struggles. Until my skin felt like going to break from the friction. 

Back at home to rest. 

I further trimmed Jasper's short hair, and I think he looks really good! 

Visit Julia finally at her home. We never got a chance to take pregnant photo together. Nvm la.

We went nearby for bakuteh dinner. It was really hot! Thankfully Jared stayed still in the stroller long enough for us to finish our food first. 

Jared lifted his head up so high here! We thought he's going to flip really soon but phew!! At time of writing (27th June 2022) not really yet. 

Jasmine's creative writing :) I tried to give her a topic for her to write. This only lasted a while because she prefers to draw stories, which I think is ok too. 

Very loved by elder siblings. 

Tuesdays, rush rush to wear swimwear for swim class. Jasmine still able to fit into this swimsuit I am surprised. She likes it so much she told me never to give it away. Ok ok. But I am determined now to get her new swimwear. Jasper included. 

For a short period of time I try to do this which is to bring cut fruits when pick them up from Acaredemy. So they eat in the car. Jasmine doesn't like fruits but she will still take 1 or 2 slices, which is better than none! I call it a win. 

The kids often help us to feed Jared. Including my lovely boy. 

This is the morning where Jared already wake up when the big kids are still getting ready for school. 

This is a special morning where Joshua is not around and I need to send them to school. Needless to say Jared also have to be in the car lo. 

30th April 2022 : Kanching Waterfall !

Strapped Jared in ergo and off we go!

We arrived first!! Before Jade and Ally arrived. 

Jasmine doesn't like to play with sand so she's feeling quite lonely for the most part.

Jared slept for 1.5 hour, then got up crying non stop, drink formula milk, direct latch and still unhappy. Uh oh. 

Here's when we took him out of the carrier for 60ml of milk. That sleeveless panda t-shirt was passed to Aunty Soo Lee and it never came back! She kept it for Jared to wear.

History making

When I was unlocking him from the car seat, I wonder where did this yellow buttery cream come from and then DA BIAN!!!!

I have legs and buttocks feeling sore from the waterfall work out!

At night, meet Shin Wee at Empire. Sometimes on weekends we are really tired!

We spent most times at and outside Toyrus. Jasmine kept asking for barbie dolls, we said no! Unless she get some good assessment results and 100% ting xie...... 

Another Sunday, another day at Creche.

2nd May : Drive back to Muar! Hari Raya holiday

We brought back scooters! Bikes are too bulky so I bought for them 2nd hand two wheeled scooters to bring back. I thought they sure will be able to ride this without much guidance so I just went to carousell to find 2nd hands. RM20 each, not bad price.

Jared couldn't poo poo and was unhappy/cranky whole day. So here we are waiting for him to drop his golden eggs. 

He didn't disappoint! He dropped his golden eggs before midnight and I washed him up. 

So thankful that he no longer cries when we wash his bum.. in fact he looks like he totally enjoy it.

Basketball. They're not that into basketball but we try to introduce them to it, little bit also ok. 

I really want them to be exposed to as many things as possible. 

We head back to Subang and Ah Ma has given this pillow to Jared. He didn't sleep the entire journey if I recall correctly. It was one of the toughest journey to endure because he cries extra a lot.. 

5th May : back in Subang, we went to Kidzania ! This is before sending Jared to Aunty Soo Lee's house. 

Jasmine dropped her money when we at at the 1st queue. The whole bunch of Kidzos just fell off her lanyard casing. It includes the fresh stack given at registration and the balance of kidzos they earned during their last visit (believe to be in 2019). We couldn't find it.. although they give her the fresh stack again, she couldn't recover the old kidzos. I was much more emotional than her. Sorry!

Next time don't come for dentist station, takes extra long.. 

And honestly quite boring. 

Then came here to do shopping, grab shopping items according to the list. It's quite fun!

They went for secret mission! They have to climb up and down in the dark and solve some clues. Very good as we never did this before, nice to have new experiences. 

She said the boy in front of her accidentally kicked her head a bit. 

I went to pump milk when they were at the queue for pilot, it was sooooo long so crowded I think they queued for an hour or more!!! Once they got it, they crashed almost immediately. Hai yoh..... 

Next door is this robotic project, they said this one is more interesting than pilot. 

Jasper wanted to join the police team!

Jasmine wanted to go into Faber Castell. She remembered Alicia got a special pen from here. I told her things are quite different now and true enough she had to pay to design her own logo, didn't get any pen. 

Next is ambulance!

Went for DJ. Sorry Jasper couldn't read so he basically just sat through the session, not knowing what was happening. 

Next Jasmine's turn to go in. Just for the DJ experience la.

Next time don't need to wear long sleeves, it was quite warm! The last time we came here pre pandemic I remember it being quite cold but now I supposed is different.. they might have turn down the air con temperature or it's warm due to the extra big crowd (school holiday crowd). 

Our final round here at the hospital, they went in for the surgery one. Jasper is still hesitant and afraid just like the last time! He was so short last time and needed to stand on the stool, now he's a tall boy already. 

Look at that face, keeping a safe distance and not sure why he has to be there. Hahaha. 

At the departmental store to use their kidzos to buy toys. They had a heated argument here where Jasper refuse to give some kidzos to Jasmine to help her buy her things. He is very protective over his kidzos and Joshua was very mad at this selfish attitude. 

We need to spend more efforts to teach him to be selfless. :) 

7th May. The day before Jared pooped at 5am and dirtied his pyjamas. Big big one. 

Quite Saturday.

Head to the park. Jared's first time. 

This time kick some balls. 

The baby gym is not very popular for Jared because he dislike lying down! So I guess it's a good thing we never invest in any baby gym for jasmine and jasper when they were babies. I remember I was considering to buy but end up didn't buy. 

8th May

Lunch with pastor and Terence & Poay Ling. It's crowded and so hot... but thankfully Jared took a nap through our lunch!! He can be surprisingly merciful !

Using the pillow from Muar, I think it's very comfortable. 

Go to Anne's place. 

They bring their babies along Hahahaha. Jasper has his ergo carrier on. 

Another day at the park, this time badminton. 

I think this is celebrate Mothers' Day. I ordered the crepe cake. :) 

I think Jared looks great in all white. :) 

Picked him up from Acaredemy, he always asked me to carry his bag. And he tends to go super near the drain and I told him I am very scared he will fall in, he would purposely scare me by putting his foot over the drain and look at me. Naughty boy. 

But a sweet sweet boy who loves his baby brother super a lot. 

In the morning when I wake up him the first things he said would be to pray that he packed the correct books for the day. That he didn't miss out anything. First sentence he said as he wake up, does it mean he's been worrying over this in his sleep? oh dear boy. 

When they are back early, I asked them to spend time at this table. They often play with the magnetic tiles. It's fun to see them being creative. Here they build something like steering wheel and gear, they are doing car racing here. 

Chubby fingers there belonged to Jasper :) Ensuring Jared doesn't fall over. 

He seldom sleep in this playpen for long hours. This is one of the rare times. 

Look at this note from Jasper to Joshua, it's written by Jasmine but all the words are from Jasper. We didn't keep this card but this photo will suffice!

Ok this shoe pencil case, it's an old one that Anne used to use during her childhood days. We let Jasper use at Summer Academy, it came back looking quite bad shape but still can be used! I was about to throw it away but Jasmine said she would like to use it, ok!!

Before that I just had some fun here measuring their feet over this middle tray that I throw away after this. Very chor deng, no need middle tray la.

The pandemic pencilcase... we were required to pack their pencil case to be used in school only because of the stupid pandemic... so yah... something that will always remind me of the painful times I look at my precious 5yo, going to 6yo and going to 7yo missing out on all the kindy fun and activities and school trips and concerts... damn you covid!!!! 

Another morning where they get some 5 minutes of rest before going downstairs. :)

I tried to put Jared on the floor but don't think this is suitable and necessary. Plus Sharon was asking for the newborn stuffs back for her sister to use so the small thin mattress underneath I just packed and return. Will think of a bigger single mattress for when Jared starts to flip or crawl. 

May 14th, we took all 3 kids to Dr Koe for vaccinations. Total bill RM740!

Jasmine had influenza jab. 

Jasper had influenza and Boosterix. Both his arms were jabbed and he said we didn't tell him first, I forgot. So he walked extremely slow as both arms were painful. Hahaha. 

Jared had rotavirus and his DTP something something jab. 

Jared weighs 5.5kg now. He put on 1kg in 1 month!

Doctor say his weight gain is very good, I can't take credit for that la. It's all the formula milk doing its job. 

And this is how he takes nap on weekends. -_- In the ergo. Otherwise he won't nap.

Sunday church!! Felt that we've been going to church as a family much more frequent compared to when we were attending Acts. Because Joshua's serving was more frequent than here (1 month twice, 1 month rest). Also I really love the outdoor, than taking photo either as basement car park or shopping mall... God thank you for bringing us to this church. 

That's Sarah, so so so coincidentally the 3yo girl at Aunty Soo Lee's house is also attending ENCM!! I saw her my first day here and wasnt sure until I confirmed it with Aunty. Then 2nd Sunday I didn't dare to say hi. By 3rd time I said hi and got to know her parents Samuel & Kelly. 

Not sure who gave us this jacket, I thought is wei chee but she said no. Oh well, Jared outgrew d la after wearing twice. 

Yo yo, sleeping like this is super rare also.... I don't think this lasted long. 

We were at Sunway Geo here if not wrong. Had lunch with Jason Teoh & Mel. Jared did sleep through lunch though. He can be lovely randomly like this. 

Our laundry situation on weekends nowadays. We get kids to fold their own clothes and they like to spread out. 

Mosquito bite. 

Go to the SS17 park in the morning of holiday. It was quite cooling at first but after that so hot. Should've let Jared wear short sleeve. 

Cycle cycle cycle. 

My city kids are doing much more outdoor activities compared to me when I grow up in kampung. So proud of them thriving. :) 

Baby here is 3 months old, yay!!

3 months old. He is still very hard to knock out. There are days he latches forever before he knocks out. There are days I put him down, he gets up again. It would take me 3 times some days before he finally knocks out.  He definitely responds to us by smiling now. :) 

Public holiday evening. It's Monday after maids have cleaned our house. Not sure why kids can bring snacks to eat upstairs. Haha. 

Monday night Joshua left for badminton and I figured out this rocker can lift the back support up for Jared to sleep higher like this!!! I felt brilliant for sure and look at Jasper's face!! Haha.

Our lunch at Q Bistro, while I still 100% work from home. I didn't expect myself to enjoy nasi kandar but this one is nice I think because of the salted egg and mutton. Hehe. 

Tuesdays swim class, ever since Jared's born, always is Joshua and Jasmine only. Jasmine has been asking me when I will take her to swim class. I think we can definitely do it but it will be stressful for sure if we are taking Jared with us. Maybe for her birthday I will take half day off, take her somewhere for tea and then come for swim class. Just me and her. :) Can start to plan. :) 

New swimsuit from Shein! I noticed her old one is getting small tight and fabric thinning. So I quickly look for new ones, the Shein ones didn't disappoint. I bought two. One is this floral one, another is short pants style. Jasper also get new ones.
