Got up in morning knowing that we're leaving the island. :(
Joshua arranged a cab with the receptionist, with the help of his ipad, he told the cab driver where we want to go to before the airport. Mysterious Road and Yong Duam Rock. We wanted to go to the Manjanggul Cave and Seopjikoji Beach as well but these 2 places are toooooooo far and we have only 1 morning. :( Flight to Seoul is at 1pm.
So we packed up, checked out and had western breakfast in this cafe next to the hotel.
I love the decoration and design in this cafe!
And the food is awesome too. Love the capuccino and the bagels that was served.. yummy.. :)
Will never forget this experience.. while enjoying our warm breakfast, we see locals coming in to take away coffee, with the view of the sea.. and the morning sunlight shining through the glass door. :) We gave a thumbs up to the shop owner and left...
Bye doggie, he never fail to wave his tail whenever he sees us. :D
After breakfast, reluctantly got into the cab and we headed towards the Jeju city.
The view along the drive is quite nice, seeing autumn yellow orangy trees on the road sides.. strong cold wind.. suddenly a small leave flew into the back seat, right on my lap. :) Cute little autumn leave, I kept it in the dictionary, decided to frame it up when we get back. :D I did. :)
We finally arrived at Mysterious Road, this is a road where it is a little bit uphill but when you set your gear at neutral without pressing the oil pedal, the car moves FORWARD !! @.@
There must be a scientific explanation to this but on the sign it says they believe there are 18000 gods living on this road causing this miracle to happen, and this is not the only road that behaves this way.. there are a few others too.
We had some street food before we go to the next destination. Paid for what the cab driver (the guy standing behind Joshua) ate as well. I can't be calculative with him because he just said I am good looking.. hahahahahaha! :P
And then, we move on to Yong Duam Rock.
Yong Duam Rock is very near the airport. It is just a dragon looking rock with many myths behind it. Some say it's a dragon trying to steal a jade, then got turned into stone bla bla bla.
We love the wind and the strong waves here. :D Cab driver helped us took photos and we're on our own.
Joshua's hair kept flying all directions and making him look sloppy so I made him put on my old beannie! :D He looks rounder with it haha. So I called him Round Round.
Woo hoo! This place is really fun!
Round Round the time keeper decided that we need to leave for the airport at 11am. :( Sadly we got into the car and know that this is drawing a close to our adventure in this romantic island. We arrived at airport ealier than expected, bid goodbye to the best cab driver in Jeju (because he called me good looking :P), and checked in. Because we still have quite some time to kill before the departure time..................
we went out to take some silly photos..... [I made him wear this black scarf (part of my old jumper from uni days) to hide his double or triple or extra chins.]
Got into the flight, flying towards Seoul. As we depart, Joshua spotted these workers waving goodbye at our plane, so friendly!
Had our lunch in the plane, sushi bought from airport. This was only 3000 won, RM8.60 for this amount of sushi. Cheaper than the lousy sushi selling at Carrefour!
We arrived at Seoul at about 2pm. After we got our luggages and went into the airport express, is already 3pm.
We saw this advertisement board in subway and couldn't help but to take a picture with Joshua's favourite Korean guy - Psy! Notice the guy behind? I think many people must've taken such pictures, he doesn't look amused...
Joshua is making this his profile picture on Facebook!
Back to serious, Joshua said we should save money, so we will take the subway to Grace's house.
With the luggages! -_-
At Seoul Station, asked for directions to Grace's house, changed line and finally reach Jong No Sam Ga.. was advised to change line and get to Dongnimun station and walk to the apartment. We gave up, decided to cut down the walking around, called a cab.
Grace later told us it's actually nearer for us to get a cab at Seoul Station compared to Jong No Sam Ga...
-__- It was quite hard to have a cab stop for us, we felt so lonely and like begging the drivers to stop for us. Most cabs we waved at are occupied with passengers and the empty cabs once they saw our luggages they just drove pass us. So arrogant............. Another tips given by Grace : If you see red light on the cab it means it's empty. :) Take note ya! So you won't be waving at occupied cabs like us, haha.
Anyway, at about 4.30pm, we finally arrived at Grace's apartment! Thank you Jesus!
No picture of Grace taken because we haven't met since 2008, we don't want to scare her with our lenses. :) We just talked, I told her seeing her is like us seeing our family. Finally someone who speaks perfect English!! She showed us the house etc.. then she went to get her daughter Ona back from her mother's. :) Ona is very very shy when she saw us, she kept running to Grace. A cute little 1 year old. :)
We took some pictures when Grace went to get Ona. :) Beautiful home. Have seen it so many times on Facebook and now finally I AM HERE. :D
We waited until Grace prepared dinner and Daniel came home! :) Awesome time at dinner, catching up, getting to know one another again and more.. :) :) In my heart I kept thanking God for good friends. :)
We initially planned to go to Seoul Tower at night but felt bad to leave for Seoul Tower right after we arrived.. so we decided to change it to another day. :) Showed Grace and Daniel our itinerary.. Daniel made fun that I even had notes of what I will wear each day on the itinerary. :P :P (Yes I plan my clothes in a scary manner, beware.)
They gave some comments on our itinerary and taught us how to go to Nami Island the next day.....
....and that's all for Day 2 in Korea. ;) Kamsahamnida!

After breakfast, reluctantly got into the cab and we headed towards the Jeju city.
I made Joshua sit in front, next to cab driver, to have a full experience, because they drive on the left! :) Also Joshua can speak easily with the cab driver, with sign language and all. Cab driver ask Joshua whether we are couple, he showed him the wedding ring and said that's my wife. Cab driver used sign language by drawing an invisible circle around his face and then do a thumbs up! International language tells us he's saying I'm good looking, hahaha.. Joshua laughed and said "kamsahamnida!" :D
The journey to Mysterious Road was long..we cut through the Mount Halla.. so that was a little uphill and then downhill. The weather suddenly became cold.. looks like it was going to rain. The view along the drive is quite nice, seeing autumn yellow orangy trees on the road sides.. strong cold wind.. suddenly a small leave flew into the back seat, right on my lap. :) Cute little autumn leave, I kept it in the dictionary, decided to frame it up when we get back. :D I did. :)

I too put on my new beret, because my flying hair gets really messy for photos.
Round Round was freezing but this was half acting :P We were enjoying the chill. :D

We also noticed the female traffic controllers wearing mic standing in middle of road, directing traffic.
We don't have female traffic controllers in Malaysia and they never dress like this, what more wearing a mic! :)
