Day 5! Weather forecast says it's going to be rise and shine! :)
But we woke up to a chilling cold morning. :) Perfect for me!!!
Ordered a hot chocolate. Tasted so good. :)
The waitress helped us snap a picture. :)
I finally had my pancakes. Blueberry pancakes, with lots of butter. A bit too sweet for my liking, but it's ok I balanced out the sweet with bacons from Joshua's plate....
After breakfast, we went back to pack. This was taken right outside of Sophie & Joe's house.
Entrace or exit to our room. :) We were told to just leave the door unlock, and the keys on the table. They admitted that this place is very safe, so not to worry. :)
After putting all our things back into our car, including our sleeping bag and blankets, we're on the road again! To the 12 apostles! :D
And the road led us into the woods. Very different scenery compared to what we had along the way to Apollo Bay. :)
Joshua wondered, what kind of grass they planted, and how they planted, how come the grass stay so neat and green everywhere?
And we somehow guessed, that farmers here are loaded.
With such huge piece of land, and countless number of sheeps or cows... sell milk or fur or meat... is a lot of money eh?
We tried to take good picture here but my eyes kept on closing.... no idea why.. :P
I love seeing orange or yellow trees! :D I'm an autumn girl. :)
Along the way, we can spot some people hiking on our left or right.. on their bikes..
Breathtaking views... it's different when you see this from a car or from a bus... :)
And of course it makes a much bigger difference to Joshua, i.e. being the driver vs being driven in a bus.... he's tired from all the driving, but I believe it's an irreplaceable experience for him. :)
Finally we are here! 12 apostles are just few minutes walk away! We realised, Joshua left his black cap somewhere again... -_- I only have this brown beannie to help keep him warm.. but don't you think his head looks like a very round coconut?
Afterall it's quite sunny, so I kept the beannie back into my bag. Hehe.
Ta-dah!! So grand and majestic!
We couldn't come to the number 12 no matter how many times we counted.. then we checked on wikipedia.. many of the "apostles" have "stumbled" due to natural causes, we should be looking at the 7 apostles now... if not wrong...
For fun, Joshua called it "the less than 12 apostles" or "no longer 12 apostles". :)
Thank God for a perfect companion to travel on long hour road trips and yet don't feel bored with each other.. in fact, throughout the long hours driving, we bonded even closer, we call each other best friends... and we definitely want to do this more in future....
While Joshua tries to figure out the "something not right" with his camera, I used my iphone to snap some pictures, but not a lot.... I wish I had taken more with my phone. Was trying to safe my phone battery for the journey home... but we carried 3 phones and a gps, I don't know why I was so paranoid. :P
He looked like a pro, but he's not really a pro. :P Not in photography.. but I'm sure he can improve. Especially when baby comes, he need to capture those precious moments. :D

Here, I can never forget Joshua made me waited for him A LOT A LOT. First was when he tries to figure out what went wrong with his camera, 2nd was when he decided to grab a cup of coffee. He had to go back to where we park our car, so I sat here and waited, and waited..... I didn't check the time but I waited very long!!
He finally came back and said he actually went to the bathroom too. -_-
I don't like to wait..... and especially when he came back, there were a big group of tourists came storming into the same place, taking pictures, talking & laughing loud...
Wind was blowing strong, I had to put on my beret to keep them in place, keep them away from my face.
At the 2nd lookout point, he made me wait again!!!! We were snapping photos half way, he looked at me and said "battery died". "How about back up batteries?" "I left it in the car." -________- Now the car is even further away from just now!!! He said "I will run and come back asap ok?" Can I say no? So I waited....... again................. and this time is longer than the previous time, and the sun was getting stronger, even though I was not sweating but it helped made me BOIL with ANGER and IMPATIENCE.
When Joshua finally came back, I was not happy at all, I told him "I hate to wait!!! Such a waste of time!! Can't you be more organised next time???" But after you look at this guy panting while saying "ok" and "Sorry" and trying to set up tripod for pictures, I know he was already trying his best.... :)
Look at that sweaty head... haha... this is probably his first time sweating in Melbourne.
One last one with the 12 apostles.. I wish we have stayed longer, sitting on the bench enjoying the majestic view while talking about our future... but sadly my memories here are now filled with WAITING FOR JOSHUA CHIAM. @.@
I felt that the experience here was not sufficient.... so when we saw some cars stopped at a particular look out point, I asked Joshua to do the same.
And we ended up here.. :)
I observed a young mother carrying her baby boy, together with her friend, went down the stairs! I told Joshua "Lets go!" he reluctantly agreed, he was afraid I won't be able to climb... but steady, man, steady! :D
We're going down for some great adventure!
See the 2 adults? and a little boy you hardly can spot, I saw them went down and now they look so far away from us!
Finally I arrived!
We were up there just now!! Like 5 minutes ago!
But with those stairs, it definitely was not as dangerous as it seemed.. hehehe..
I made Joshua jump several times, but only this one passed.... :P
The young mother helped me take this picture. :)
And this is her little boy.. playing sand.. they just made themselves comfortable on the beach. She was wearing a long dress and doesn't look worried that she will dirty it. :) But she cleaned her hands through and through before holding our camera, in her words "I don't want to get any sand on your camera" So thoughtful! :)
We walked up and down the shore once.. and decided to go back up.
Going up was tougher.... against the gravity.. so I was quite tired after the whole thing...
Glad to be back in our car. :) And we are taking the highway home. It should not take us longer than 4 hours.
Another kind of view we have along the way, we have finished driving through the great ocean road, now we're simply passing through the farms.
So many cows... moo moo...
We made a stop at petrol station to fill up the tank, while I bought a bag of gummi fruits to eat in the car, so that I don't feel sleepy.. or hungry.. :) Joshua likes the gummi fruits too.
By about 4pm, we're back in Geelong. Yes, our mission is to go back to the thrift shop! Remember it was a wrong turn that we ended up in front of it? We had no reference how to go back to it. I tried to google many times but none of them shows the right location. We stopped at the roadside for a good 10 minutes just trying to make some correct decisions. Joshua said the surroundings, some funny name shopping malls looked very familiar but... we still couldn't find the shop.
At last I decided to just go to one Salvos Store nearby, although it may not be the exact same one..... Ok, so we followed the google map navigator, my eyes were still sharp like tiger... and then I SAW THAT SHOP!!!! On our right!! Joshua made a u-turn and we finally were in front of the store. A lady came out to bring in the "Open sign" and we suspected it was already closing. Joshua immediately dashed into the shop and said to the cashier "Hi! We were here yesterday, we love your shop so much we're back today. Are you closing already?" The friendly lady said "We close at 4.30pm, now you can have 5 minutes before we close." "Thank you!!"
I was immediately going through the 20 cents rack! Joshua also helped after he took this photo.
We were on a tight mission! Went back and forth of the shop to pick out whatever we think our baby can wear... we still think we're having a boy so we bought all boys clothes and shoes. Hahaha.. it was so fun!!
At 4.30pm, we paid and continued our return journey. Slightly bad timing, we reached city at 5.30pm and it's peak hour... so we felt like we're in KL suddenly.. with all the cars brake lights on, inching our car forward...... hahaha...
We got home at about 7pm if not wrong? Both of us were exhausted but look at what Shin Yee & Rayson bought for us!! SIEW YOK!! So sweet of them!! We felt so pampered and well taken care of. :) :) :) Thank you you both!!! :D
After dinner, we went to Coles in Westfield again. To buy souvenirs.. tim tams. :)
Maybe because we're on holiday, even doing simple groceries shopping here feels so different, so happy!
We bought towels and cookies & cream ice cream for Shin Yee, lots of tim tams for colleagues, chocolate milk for Rayson and some breakfast items to add to the Low's table. Hehe. :D
We're back in the Low's residence. :)
Arranged our shopping items... and Joshua went to watch TV again. He watched Hangout 1.
While he does that, I was doing my thing... these are all the things we bought at the thrift shop. Total $23 spent. So satisfied..................
That sums up our Day 5. :) Sweet memories!
And now, I pray that we will have a boy as our second child so that I get to dress my baby in the army pants, the Captain Cute singlet, and those cute sports shoes! :D
