This week, I feel pain when I sneeze! It's called the ligament pain according to google search results. And I have used up at least one fifth of the 60ml Bio Oil I bought on Sunday. It looks like it's helping to make my stretch marks lighter in colour. :)
26 August Monday, we attended the antenatal class at Columbia Asia Hospital! Yeay! It's a 2 days program, we're so excited to be able to attend class together, it's our first time.
We got a Huggies newborn diaper sample. :D
I told Joshua I usually will sit at the front row.. but Joshua's the type that will sit at the last row.... so we sat behind... it's not that bad actually, I could stretch my legs and relax...
I was feeling extra sleepy that day.. and the class were supposed to end at 9.30pm but it only ended at 10.30pm! Imagine me zombified... but all the information shared were very good... our gynae Dr. Rama shared about the labour process with pictures somemore! Eye-opening... and yes it's gross.. but I can take it. I just need to be mentally very very prepared. Hmmm... *meditation*
Another doctor the pediatrician taught us how to hold our baby, position to breast feed etc etc.
27 August Tuesday, while we watch Indiana Jones, I decided to do something useful, so I took out the bottle steriliser and read up on how to use it. :)
My mum bought a total of 5 NUK bottles! It's so many... I hope Jasmine won't be picky!!
28 August Wednesday, 2nd day of class. Again we sat at the last row. This time we got a goodie bag from Enmum, and they have a notebook and pen in it, I love notebook and pen! So I recorded as much info as possible.. especially the rep from Fonterra said that they will be questions thrown to the floor and whoever can answer will be given a present!
Without a doubt, Joshua was the first to lift up his hand to answer question and we got our present. It's a recycling bag.. we were hoping it will be like a milk powder sample but no. :S Then come 2nd and 3rd question, no one wants to try to answer! Except that at the 3rd question, eventually a guy answered and received the present.
I have answers recorded in my book and even offered to the couple in front of us, they refused! Why Asians have such behaviour??? And the rep didn't let us answer probably because she thinks owning more than one recycling bag is pointless, hahaha.....
Joshua was again fascinated at how big Jasmine has grown. :)
The last session is a practical session led by this physio-theraphist.
I wish they have told us to wear pants because sitting on the gym ball wearing dress has the potential of revealing very unpleasant stuff.. :(
Breathing exercise, simple stretching of muscles...
So glad Anne has a gym ball that I can use. :) Will definitely be using it more when I get back.
We got home before 10pm and I was aiming to sleep early! Just before bed, I decided to eat cereals with chocolate milk, only because during the class we were advised to take more milk and nutritious food like cereals... So went to bed at about 11pm... and felt something stirring in my tummy.. I told Joshua I might have to do a number two in toilet but I might just ignore and sleep right away. Failed. At 12am, I have to wake up and go into the toilet.... I didn't expect my shit was SO HARD!! I sat there for 30 minutes and kept complaining to Joshua that I couldn't get that shit out!! He kept encouraging me to continue the next day.. but you know it's not a good feeling to push something so huge and hard back in when it's already at the "door-step". :S I was frustrated to the extent I just kept on using strength to push and something worrying happened - everytime I force.. a splash of colourless odourless liquid flows out from where my shit were supposed to come out! I got worried because it behaves just like what people explained as water bag broke! Joshua passed me my phone so I could continue forcing the shit out while doing some reading to make sure that it's not water bag broke. I also prayed to God that I'm not ready to have Jasmine out yet... plus she's only 34 weeks plus! The search results were not answering my question... so with mixed thoughts in my head, I made up my mind to go ALL OUT to get that shit out of my body!! So I squat on the toilet bowl, I used my finger to help enlarge the opening and then dig whatever I could dig out!! I couldn't be bothered when my finger was all covered in brown.. (sorry if you feel like you can't have your meal after reading this :P ) I just kept on forcing it out, legs folded, legs unfolded... and finally finally finally.. it came out!!! HALLELUJAH!!! When I tried to stand up, I felt my butt cheeks could not meet.. because the opening was forced open for too long.. so I walked back to bed kaki kangkang... and just went to sleep.......
Thank God at about 6am I got up, I felt my butt was back to normal. I felt very thirsty and Joshua got me a cup of water. I guess I was dehydrated because of the water that came out when I tried to shit... and my throat felt so utterly dry.... I felt like I was going to fall sick.....
29 August Thursday, I got up feeling very unwell but still went to work because I have an important meeting to attend at 9am. Eventually took half day mc... was having sore throat and flu... Anyway I messaged my gynae about the clear fluid that flowed out when I tried to shit, he said there's nothing to worry about. :) One very comforting fact is - Jasmine was still actively moving. :) And I managed to capture in this video! This is not the most active, because whenever I took out the phone camera or asked Joshua to come feel, she gets shy and tone down... haha...
31 August Saturday, after Joshua's drum class, we set up the baby cot!
It's the RM99 Sniglas wooden cot from Ikea. I wish a white one is of this price, but they were selling a white one at RM299.
Half way setting up, it rained.
And since the day before, there's been a water cut, due to diesel spillage which caused the water treatment plants to close down for cleaning. We bought 2 cartons of drinking water in the morning and thought of retaining some rain water for cleaning!
We went back to the cot and finally finish it. It'll be here until it's time to have Jasmine stay in her own room. :) We also checked whether the fan will be too much for her.. should be just nice. :)
And we put the changing table and nursing chair in here too!
Thank God for such a big master bedroom, with this many things, we still have a lot of room to walk around!
So we have an island in our master bedroom, or you can call it the baby station. Hehe.
The rain stopped and we retained a full pail of water. :) Can't believe Malaysia's having water issues on Merdeka Day, sigh...
At 4.30pm, Joshua's brother came to play ping pong. The old ping pong table from Muar. Joshua spent RM100 to buy the new net, new bats and 3 new balls.
It's open space so we did this to prevent the ball from going into the drain. ;) My brilliant, effective and inexpensive idea, hehehe.
During the game, it rained again, we put out our pails again and got ourselves a one third pail full. :)
After the game, we went to Joshua's sister's place in USJ12 to bath and have dinner. We also took our dirty laundry there to wash, took back home to dry. I must do laundry because there are very limited clothes I can wear at this stage. Hehe, including my undies. :P
Just before sleep, Joshua watched youtube video on how to time contractions. I thought it will be covered at antenatal class but it was not....
1 September Sunday, heavy downpour in the evening at about 4pm. Water came back, thank God. :)
Joshua's fascinated by the sight... we were telling look Jasmine, it's raining heavily! :)
At night, Joshua wants to watch football match and I was feeling bored being alone, so I sat at mamak for 2 hours while he finishes the game. He was not happy the whole time because it didn't go well.. hahah... it's my first time sitting through the game.. can't believe I did it. :P
Well that's my week 35. Can't believe, just 2 more weeks to full term!!
