19 August 2013 Monday, came to work with a big smile on my face, because the crazy boss is gone! :D
I am definitely feeling more clumsy these days.... bloated and heavy. Brushing teeth feels a bit more difficult now that my bump is higher. Also starting to feel sleepy and lethargic especially at work.... some colleagues say I look tired. Can't believe pregnancy hormones can really bring such drastic change!
20 August 2013 Tuesday, gynae appointment again! :)
I went over at 6.30pm straight from my office but Joshua only arrived at 7.30pm due to traffic jam.
Look at my ugly stretch marks! Oh man what an ugly photo of me. :( :( :( I have been stingy, refusing to buy bio oil or cocoa butter to apply on my bump... I thought it's not important.. but I really hope this will be the worse already....
Anyway, everything looks fine in the scan. Jasmine is still head down but not yet engaged. Doctor said in our era, most babies don't engage until labour time. I hope and pray that Jasmine will engage earlier just so we know that the labour time is drawing near. :) :) Holy Spirit please engage her.... in Your perfect timing. I have to admit I am fearful of the labour process... not knowing how painful or how tough... but doctor said one thing, for natural child birth, all I need to prepare is my MIND. Yes, the strong will and determination!
Of course doctor suggested some exercises I can do at home. I will be using Anne's gym ball to do this - sit on the ball without any support and try to balance myself. According to him, it will help me train my muscles near the opening Jasmine will come out. Also he suggested rubbing some baby oil in between my thighs and inward to help loosen up and smoothen up the most important muscles. :) He said will send me a video and some guidelines so I'm definitely looking forward to it! :)
I think I'm quite crazy..... I have been sleeping at 12.30am or past 1am... because I'm still busy with photobook for 2013. I aimed to complete until July 2013, and I managed to complete until May 2013 tonight.... it shouldn't be far too long before I put this project aside and get my mind ready for child birth. :D Also, get some quality sleep & rest!
Finally on 21 August 2013 Wednesday, photobook completion until July 2013. Yes!
In office, the Ninjas took some celebration photos!! :D
I suggested this imaginary mask but only few of us could do it, it's so funny!!
Only 3 of us dare to do it! But this picture is too blur and far....
Another attempt! Made Ninjas Wei Chih join in too, although she thought she won't look pretty in the photo... but that's not the point right. Look at me... I have so many layers at my chin, berkedut-kedut, hahahaha... Ninjas Richard said his tummy looks so obvious, more obvious than mine! :P And Ninjas Hoong Ling just plays cool all the way... woo hoo!
K Anne sent me this photo from Muar. My brother bought this 2nd hand CRV at RM85k for Evelyn. She initially was supposed to pay RM50k but backed out last minute, it was an ugly scene... so my brother paid in full... we're not happy about this... but we still hope that they will have a good marriage right? Sigh... God help them....
22 August Thursday night, here's a ball sitting on a ball. Hehehe.. while reading "What to expect when you're expecting" :)
24 August Saturday, my aim today was to polish the kitchen sink. Our sink is Rubine and I've seen Sorento sink in Muar & our friend's house, they shine much more compared to ours! :( I want a shiny sink too, so I decided to work on it. I started while Joshua was having his drum class, and after that Joshua came to help.
He said it's almost same as polishing a car.
Can you see the before (left) and after (right) effect? It's very satisfying... but a lot of hardwork to achieve this.
Joshua took over and polished the whole sink... but there are still quite some areas that I'm not satisfied with.
After he's done, I took over and focused on the cloudy areas... and finally call it complete. I have muscle aches all over my body after this task....
Then in the afternoon, 3pm, the lovely ladies from church threw me a baby shower! They're so sweet!! :D
It was like a high tea... in fact they served Jasmine tea! Hahaha.. it was delicious, awesome and spent the whole 2 hours talking about child birth. Some of the ladies felt like they were going to faint, because the process can be quite traumatizing, hahaha...
And they gave me the presents. :) Thank you so much!! :D I loveeee receiving presents for myself, and I didn't know receiving presents for my little one can be an even greater joy!
They prayed for me. :) :) And they kept saying that I look good... thank God! But when I told Anne, she said in fact with such a big bump, my tiny breasts are even more obvious. -___________-
Here are all the presents! And some hand-me-down from Rose. :) Will be passing these to my mum to wash and sun.. since she enjoyed doing it so much the last round, hahahaha...
Saturday night, I'm still having muscle aches... and Joshua gave me some massages.. the last proper massages we paid for was in Bangkok... so Joshua said "Sa-wa...........
.....di-kap!!!"
Thank God for such a good and entertaining husband. :)
Sunday after church, I went to Watson's to buy Bio-oil... finally. And I wish.. I have bought it earlier... cost me RM28 for 60ml. Smells nice and I have been using a lot a lot a lot.. because on the bottle it says to start applying twice a day from the start of 2nd trimester. I'm at the tail end of 3rd trimester.. so I'm really behind time... but still hope it will help ease the pain and reduce the stretch marks! :D
Evening, we decided to get the car seat and stroller ready for use. First to learn how to use, then to clean them up because they're both used items, borrowed from friends. :)
Joshua was so stressed up here trying to figure out how to install this in the car.
And then to teach me. The carrier was 5kg itself without the baby, so we decided to leave it in the car perpetually... I rather carry my Jasmine in and out... than to take the 5kg carrier along...
And here's how the stroller will fit into the Myvi car boot.
So these items are going to be here till the day comes where we bring her home. :) On the car seat is a diaper bag that my colleague Susan (Logistics Manager) lend to me. :D It's a very good diaper bag that she used for her 2 kids! I wiped it with LOC and it's now clean and ready to be used. ;)
Before going to sleep, I insisted on cleaning the car seat and the stroller too. Managed to find a baby toothbrush and I just use LOC to brush through the stains. Then rince by brushing with plain water over and wipe, brush and wipe. :)
The outcome was quite satisfying!
We also found out that the car seat.... had something missing. There were supposed to be another cushion set that goes on top of it... the current car seat felt very hard and bare. It's peg-perego brand so I googled and saw how the actual car seat should look like. We feel shy to ask our friend who lent us this car seat.. because she is considered Joshua's free lance boss (Grace from Stories), so we've found alternative solution i.e. to put in folded towel as the base.. and for the head part, the dimple pillow I bought earlier seemed to fit in just nice! :D Can't wait to see little Jasmine sitting on it..... :) :)

At about 7.30pm, we drove to KLIA airport to meet my mum & Anne. They were flying to San Francisco to visit my grandma. :) In the car, I realised, I have to wear the seat belt this way, because when I wear it below my belly, I feel painful, the stinging pain... then I knew... it's the stretchmarks. They are being stretched even more... and the skin was thinning and became sensitive...
