January 2016
This month, Jasmine has started to help out when we bath Jasper in the morning. She will move the bath tub to the normal spot. By end of the month, she even could arrange the stool for me right next to the tub, while I undress Jasper. :)
We involved her during Jasper's diaper change too. Other than throwing the dirty diaper into the nearest rubbish bin, we also let her apply diaper cream for Jasper. The way she apply diaper cream for him is very funny. She will only apply it to the his penis, and she will aim for the tip of the penis! Sometimes she was still climbing up the sofa, I already applied the cream. She will get angry that I didn't wait, she will insist that I open the diaper so that she can do the "put cream for di di" routine.
Jasmine loves to sing. When mummy and Anne is around, they are her best audience or fans. One night, she got to excited, she started distributing 2 peppa pig puzzle blocks to each of us, and started to "lead" us to clap with the blocks and sing along, while she jump and dances around. The playmat was like her centre stage, she will stand in front of the TV like how a singer appears from behind the curtain. "Two, Two, Three!!" followed by her singings. We don't know what she is singing, it really feels like it's her own lyrics and even melody. :D Sometimes you can hear her simple vocabs like "nen nen, daddy, mummy, didi, pom pom...." in her lyrics.
2nd January, our church friends came to visit Jasper. And so Jasmine has lots of playmates. Zach and Judah got into some arguments over not sharing the blocks, and because Zach tried to snatch the toys, he was put at the time out corner to cry as much as he likes. Jasmine got curious and wants to pass him chocolate.
And it's good to let her see the kids getting interested stories read by Jessica.
Here's a group photo!
3rd January, we went to Subang Parade to buy new clothes for Jasper and this is one of those few times Jasmine didn't use a car seat. We took Forte.
4th January, as usual we loaded her into Myvi so that Anne can send her to Lian. Most likely due to the long Christmas break.. she cried so loud it really breaks my heart. :( I was the one to put her into the car seat. She cried with her mouth still full of pinenuts and screamed "mummy sit here!" as I closed the car door. I looked at mummy, "we can handle her at home today right?" she said yep. So I took her out from the car seat. I told her, you be a good girl ok? She nodded. :)
Next few days, in order to stop her from crying in car to Lian's house, Anne will surrender her phone to her.. playing peppa pig. One day, she told Anne "hot". Her seat is actually very hot, facing the back without direct air con and during mid morning 9.30am... so that finally made her learn to complain about the heat.
It was Joshua's birthday so mummy & Anne bought a small cake. Jasmine blew off the candle of course.
Again, making Joshua wear bib. :D
We are trying to get her to do colouring or drawing or just plain scribbling. I never thought it can be so tough! I thought all kids love colouring? One day, I made her sit down to colour... she only draw a few small lines and wanted to leave the table. I had to use the yellow rotan to make her colour more. It was a picture in the s26 free exercise book. She actually could colour quite well, it's only she chose not to. -_- After that episode, she imitated me holding her ruler as rotan to discipline her bear bear. But as we see more often of her using ruler to threaten and hit her bear bear. I felt awkward because I don't do that so often.... until Anne talked to Lian.. we found out, she was imitating Lian. Every morning Jasmine go there crying and wouldn't stop, Lian will take the ruler out to threaten her. If she doesn't stop crying she will hit her with it, to give her a real reason to cry.
Joshua one day just decided to do more art & craft with her. He wants to get her to do art & craft after her nap, and put her art work on the fridge. His first attempt with her was a paper caterpillar, to which she was most proud of. I then took out the food colourings I bought a year ago and a colouring brush.
First time was always the most exciting, Jasmine enjoyed discovering the colour.
We did this food colour painting twice and Joshua walked to Mr DIY one evening to buy cheap water colours and colour tray. Jasmine enjoyed squeezing the colours out from the tubes more than the real colouring on the paper. Needless to say, all her creation, we encouraged her to clip on the fridge. But she did lesser as she loses interest! One day, I sat her down again to colour a picture with crayon. She took the crayon, drew 2 small strokes and was ready to run to the fridge! I didn't let her do that. :P
One night in her room, after the maids had done cleaning, the air purifier plug point was hanging down. She took it and pointed at bear bear's stomach to play doctor. This really surpised us. Anne was the one who understood what she was trying to do! She was her first patient. :D She would also press the buttons on the fan which is right next to the air purifier. We wonder where she learn it from. We thought most likely from Dr Rama? The ultrasound scan machine has buttons and the pointer on my stomach shows the scans? Later on we found out she learnt it from Peppa Pig. And most probably Dr Rama visit had strengthen the understanding as well. Coincidentally, Anne took back a set of stethoscope toy etc from London, which came in handy. We gave it to her and taught her that a doctor uses a stethoscope, later on we gave her the medicine, thermometer etc.
Anne taught her that after see doctor, eat medicine, go home. :) When I said my hand was painful, she will apply cream for me and then asked me to go home. On 11th January, after she checks my stomach, gave me medicine, asked me to go home. I didn't move, she got mad and screamed at me "GO HOME!!!!". So I had to stand up and walk to one corner said I'm home. -_-
Jasper also became her patient.
One night she just decided to stuff all her blankets and napkins into her blouse.
When she was angry, which we believe was due to the shared attention, she hit Ah Ma and me with a clean diaper. Although it was not painful, it was wrong to be disrecpectful, so I hit her hand and made her say sorry. Once, she used ruler to hit Ah Ma! We believe she didn't know it will be painful, she was just playing. So we tried to tell her that that behaviour is wrong and again, she had to say sorry.
Jasmine starts to get bossy. She will tell us "cannot run" "cannot throw" and even tell Jasper angrily "cannot cry"
One night it was time to sleep, she was still playful, used the empty nuk bottle (now her toy), as a microphone. She speaks into it to make announcement to her bear bear, somewhere along "bear bear bear bear, drink nen nen ok!!"
One of Jasper's fullmoon present from our cousin Ai Ling Ai Fei was a tortoise toy. Of course Jasmine got to play with it first. She treated the plastic tortoise like her baby. Once Joshua accidentally stepped on it, she hit him.
On 8th January, when we finally got our Serena, Jasmine was the most excited. She calls it the big car. It was also the point where we had to change her car seat from rear facing to front facing. Plus the big windows in the car, she could see so many things along the road. She was so occupied during her first ride, pointing out trees and saying hi to pedestrians. That night itself was homes, we took the car to homes and picked up Aunty Barb. When she saw Aunty Barb enter the car, she cried for quite a while! She was that possessive. 2 days later when we visited baby Zyon, outside the house Jessica Chia passed me present for Jasper, as she came close to check out our new car, Jasmine was in her car seat (ready to go home), she was unhappy. She made a resist sound "mmm!!!!"
She loves to press the button to open the sliding door. Almost everytime she pass by she try to press it. Joshua stopped her and said she must get permission before pressing the button.
Koko came together with Evelyn here to celebrate Jasper's full moon together and then mummy followed him back to Muar. This was the weekend the whole full family was in 71.
Koko always try to help out in taking care of Jasmine, including feeding her food patiently.
9th January, we went to Citta Mall for dinner at Chawan, together with koko. After dinner, we want to go to Ace Hardware but Jasmine was not done with her milo ais & papadum yet. Koko volunteered to stay with her until she finish so we all left the restaurant. When koko came to Ace Hardware to meet us, he told us Jasmine was too funny. After we left, she was slowly enjoying the papadum, drinking milo with koko's help. Casually looking around, after a while she realised we were all gone, she looked shocked and asked "eh where daddy where mummy?" The way koko described and imitated, Jasmine was really blur!
We've been spending time on this swing. She will ask to sit with our help. We will sing songs.
She also could stand on the swing. Managed to balance herself while I swing it slowly.
Watering the plants is still her no. 1 favourite outdoor acticity.
One day, they attend 11.45am service, Jasmine refused to eat breakfast that morning. So when they arrive at church she was already hungry. She was searching through the diaper bag and asked ANne "Ah Yi, food?" Joshua had to ask for a piece of sandwich from Actspresso.
And just before Acts Kids, she fell asleep on Ah Yi. Anne said no wonder during worship she kept on asking to be carried.
By the way, Ah Yi is now her favourite playmate. Other than playing the doctor game, she also play swimming game with Ah Yi. She pretend the mat is her swimming pool and invited Anne to swim with her.
Anne has met Abigail, the new 5 year old girl at Lian's. She took video of Jasmine, Abigail and Yuvraaj playing "ring around the roses... atishoo, atishoo, we all fall down". Jasmine can't stop laughing playing it. She even wants to play with us at home. Anne said Abigail calls Jasmine queen. When we asked her, "did Abigail call you queen?" She said "I queen!" :D
Including a little play kitchen!
She said "tea is ready!"
As usual, whenever she sits in the stroller, she plays with the cover. :)
That night, Joshua took Jasmine along to Foh Foh to buy dinner. And then it started to rain. Joshua asked for a plastic bag and wore it on her head like this. Telling her this is her hat. Then they got the food and ran to the car. While running, her hat flew off!! She cried. -_-
So when she got home, I took out her red hat and let her wear. Ever since this incidence, the red hat became something she must wear after she opened the peppa pig umbrella when she plays raining.
She repeatedly play a lot of blow candle game with a flag toy. She will ask us to sing birthday song before she blow the imaginary candle. When she ask me to sing, she will say "song mummy!"
16th January we were at church for Aldo.
We packed a bag of her toys there to keep her occupied. But as expected, she played with other kids' toys and other kids wants to play with hers. Other kids like Nathan had a lot more toys and was all over the floor. Jasmine had her tortoise toy with her which she left on the floor when we changed diaper for her. When she saw Nathan playing with it, she snatched it back by force! We told her to share, she said "no!" Nathan cried and ran to Adeline & Matthew. I explained to Jasmine that the other toys on the floor were all Nathan's. He shared with her so she should also share with him. I don't know whether she will understand.. but she seemed like she did. She took the tortoise walked towards crying Nathan, left it behind him and walked off.
This tortoise episode happen again later in the day, and when Joshua tried to explain the same, she rather not play with Nathan's toys and walked off. -_- Another boy Timothy came to her bag and dig out some toys, Jasmine wanted to take back, she pulled by force and hurt Tim's hand. He cried. So she made 2 kids older and bigger than her cry. She also went to Lisa's pile of books, pick out one and read. But none of us understand her reading. Haha.
It's our first time out as a family. :)
She didn't sleep as long as her normal nap. Under an hour and she woke up.
Always good to have Ah Yi around.. :) so helpful!
In the car, Jasmine was asking for a napkin I believe, and I could climb to the back to get it. So good lah the car.
Next day was Sunday. We went to Mr DIY to look for Anne's handheld fan after lunch. And while we were leaving... Jasmine's curious hand opened a can of glue (used for piping) and poured it on the floor and of course her hands!
Joshua quickly took her to toilet to wash hands and Anne line up again to pay for the glue.
And thank God we could sit at the sofa show area, for me to feed hungry Jasper while Jasmine felt unhappy about her hands.
Joshua also got some glue on his hand.
Then Justin came by, Jasmine just showed him her hands like this and he lovingly help her pull off the glue bit by bit... until she dozed off! Haha....
16th January morning, I know I can start toilet training her because she already knows the meaning of尿尿. So I just asked her in the morning whether she wants to niao niao, she said yes. So I put her on the toilet bowl, she did her pee into the toilet bowl.
Anne got a job offer on 15th January 5pm, and she starting on 18th January. It's too last minute, I can't send Jasmine to Lian everyday so our hope was Little Legend can take her in for 3 weeks before I return to work. Unfortunately, when I asked Pastor Sarah on Sunday, she rejected because LL was understaffed. We discussed and decided that I will be home with both kids, provided I bathed before Joshua go to work and Jasmine's lunch will be cooked by either Joshua or Anne. I only need to bath and feed them on my own at home. First day, 18th January, I thought I could start toilet training. So the whole day I kept asking Jasmine whether she wants to niao niao, first few times she said yes and pee into toilet bowl. But when she grew bored with it, her standard answer was no and I will soon see her diaper full. Obviously, my method was incorrect.
So it's just 3 of us at home. Below pictures are in chronological order but not everyday I took photos. There were SO MANY funny and sweet moments I wish there's another adult in the house to help take photos but they just have to find a space in my memory to be stored. :) Anyway, most times when Jasper is sleeping, I will be tasked to play with her. :)
She loves playing this cooking toys and she will ask me to eat cake.
See I have a "bib" there? Yep. I was so tired, putting Jasper to bed, dry the laundry and then sit down to play with her.
My most accomplished moment is when both are down for naps. I will wish they sleep longer so I can do my things, including my own nap.
Here's when both woke up. :)
This is the red hat she must wear when it's "raining".
Jasmine likes to join Jasper in his cot. I am fine if she doesn't hurt him.
Easy to look after both when both in same place. One is comfortable, one is entertained. Haha.
Again, perfect nap time.
Usually I will bath both of them by 11am. At first I bath them separately but then I realised it's not as efficient.
The most challenging time for me is when Jasmine is up from her nap. I have to find ways to exhaust her energy. So we did cycling at the back of the house.
This is one of the sweetest I have captured. :)
Look at the cute little eyes looking at me.. wondering whether I was just going to let the big girl kiss his fingers. Haha.
Group pic!! :D
Jasmine found a few highlighter and was willing to scribble on the paper! I took the opportunity to do more colouring drawing with highlighter and glueing paper on paper with her.
I bought this ikea tray when we went Ikea with Jasper, and so glad I bought it. Helps keep things in order. Jasmine made me draw together. She decides what colour I use and when to change.
I sometimes have to hold the fort until at night... when Joshua work late. And few times I forgot to feed Jasmine dinner because I simply lost track of time.
And that minion was what Joshua brought back from work.
She plays driving car game at the display cabinet. Imagining the old radio as her car. Speaker the steering wheel to which I have to drive on the other side. Then horn horn. And the buttons for cassette would be her button to open door. Once Joshua took in the double stroller to clear Serena's boot space, Jasmine immediately play with the big wheel, like its her steering wheel. She later on plays big car game by putting the waterproof mat on the floor and invite us to drive her around. When asked where she going, she says go Ah Lian house / go home / acts kids / swimming.
She was more excited about splashing water on herself, wetting her face etc.
Then I had to just put the tub on the floor so that it's on sturdy ground.
She has poured water on herself and wet her dress so I had to tie it up.
So the next morning after the outdoor soaking, as usual I got ready the water to bath Jasper and went to get handkerchief. I came back to see Jasmine sitting in the bathtub with her clothes on and a guilty look on her face. I told her Jasper first, then her. So I let her to help with giving me shampoo, wash Jasper's hair etc.. and I kept reminding her to wait for her turn. Once Jasper's done, I undress her, and she will have water splashing fun in the bath tub while I dry & dress Jasper. After I settle Jasper, I will go back into the bathroom to use shower to bath her. The water in the tub would be quite full by the time we are done, which made her want to stay in longer. But I usually won't like it because the water sometimes has some poop from Jasper's bum and Jasmine tends to drink it no matter how I reminded her not to. Most of the time, I had to count to 3, to get her to exit. She is very obedient, everytime I finish counting to 3, she will come out, althought reluctantly, but she will. :) Then I will give her a tight hug while drying her up. After I dressed her, I will be feeding Jasper while combing Jasmine's hair, followed by cream and powder on her neck & inner arms. :) That's our little mid morning routine.
She loves asking "What's that noise" so much to the extent one night midnight she woke me up to ask. I have an unwanted Estee Lauder box which I allow her to play before throwing. She found the folded paper in it and immediately imagined that to be a napkin, she lay it on the bed and placed bear bear on top to drink milk.
It has become one of her many bedtime routines!
One day she came to me and asked "what's this?" Ohhh I realised it's from her magic pen. It was left open overnight and stained the bear. I quickly throw into the washing machine but it couldn't come out completely.
Jasmine learnt to call Natalie and played ball with her in the pool.
It was cold that morning, so she got out saying cold and want to eat. I gave her some biscuits and she went back in for a while and said to Joshua that she wants to go home. She said "cold".
She was wearing her peppa pig swimsuit outside her normal swim suit. 2 layers and still feel cold.
So took her out, and we played see saw under the warm sun. :)
Julia told me she toilet trained Zach during the Christmas break. Janet said it took Kara 3 days to be toilet trained. I looked at my calendar and thought... if I don't train her before CNY, I won't get a long break until labour day! So very reluctantly (I really want to enjoy more during my maternity leave), I decided to do it starting from 27 January.
On 26 Jan, my first time ever driving Serena with Jasmine and Jasper in the car, back to office to collect festive drinks. I planned it properly, which was after Jasmine's nap, load everyone into the car, including ipad. When I was there settling the drinks, Jasmine watches ABC video on the ipad. ;) We made it back safely and Jasmine knows that we drove to my office. :) She saw some colourful vehicles at nearby factories and called it playground.
Toilet Training Day 1 (27 Jan) - I put her on the bowl first thing in morning and put on panty for her. I kept telling her that she's not wearing diaper and must tell me when she need to niao niao. When she was on the breakfast table, Joshua said tell mummy if you want to niao niao ok? She said neh niao niao! I couldn't believe it, she really already peed on the high chair. That was first change of panty. Of course the whole day she peed on the floor etc.. thank God not on surface like sofa. I will still rush her to toilet to sit on the bowl but most times she's already done peeing.
I tried making flushing the toilet fun for her so encourage her to pee into the bowl but didn't work.
When she took her nap, I didn't know that I should put diaper for her, I kept observing whether the panty get wet...
and really she peed in her sleep and wet the whole blanket and her blouse. She didn't get up.
Toilet Training Day 2 (28 Jan) - her performance deteriorated! Before 12pm she was already wearing 4th panty. I have to keep washing her wet panties and dry out under the sun. We only have 7 to rotate. She can say "mummy niao niao" but it's only after she has peed. She wore total 10 panties! I almost went mad. I couldn't take it anymore... I asked "do you want niao niao" numerous times around the clock and all I get was "no" and then wet floor.
When Joshua came back I said I need something done. Why Jasmine isn't getting the concept? Joshua did some reading online and we went to Giant, to let Jasmine select chocolate balls and bring home.
Toilet Training Day 3 (29 Jan) - after her morning pee, she was squating on the yellow stool looking at me changing diaper for didi. We believe it's the squating that made her feel like peeing, so there she peed one more round, almost immediately after her morning pee with chocolate reward! After that we were playing and she suddenly said "mummy niao niao" I grabbed her and rushed to the toilet, success!! 2nd reward!
And so that's how she was toilet trained in 3 days! Not too bad. She was really looking forward to the chocolate reward. When she pee into the bowl, she will say "chocolate pls" Starting we let her eat on the toilet bowl to make sure she understand that it was rewarding her behaviour. Much later I made her say finish, wipe and I wipe for her, wash hand, wipe hand dry with towel, put on panty and then give her the chocolate.
On 28 Jan, Janet Ling took Kara to our house. Jasmine peed at least 3 times while playing with Kara. Anyway when Janet was reading a book to Kara, there was a donut! Jasmine requested that I sing the donut song. As I was singing, she said "i show you! I show you!" she went to her basket of toys, took a blue ring out and start shaking her body and sing along. :) I asked where's the hole, she will point at the hole. :)
Here's a sunday we were all waiting for Joshua to finish serving at 11.45am service.
Took some pictures at the nice wall.
This is Kara. She's at least 1 year older than Jasmine.
I like her, she's a good girl thus a good influence.
Jasmine's attempt to enjoy lying down on the grass. Haha. I need to teach her to make some faces! :D
Sunday when she woke up early for church, I suggested to her to read books on our bed. She thought for a while and said "eeeeeehhhhhhh........... OK!" When we tell her something, she will respond with a shocked face or like wow brand new info face, saying "oh?! OK!"
She carries her bear like how we carry Jasper. And she will put bear bear down and say "ah, so heavy". When she play cooking with us, serving us food she will say "there you go". I thought I heard her say boring but it could be something else. But for sure she says "pour toy" and then she pour out the whole container of cooking toys. One night Joshua was dressing her in pyjamas and caught her singing the books of bible song. Once I read to her in the car, she said "cannot see". She also throw herself onto Jasper's rocker saying "so tired, so tired".
She cries to get our attention on certain occassions. She understands what is cut hair when I was trimming her hair.
18 Jan, we were out eating and I ordered Pepsi, she insisted on drinking. So that was first time she drank carbonated soft drinks.
Instead of waiting for Joshua to put on shoes for her, she stepped on the rotan pouffe to reach the basket which contained her crocs. As she got down from the pouffe, the pouffe over-turned, she even know how to put it back properly.
End of the month, we went back to Muar, toilet training continues, on the green potty from Ikea.
That weekend in Muar, she was very sticky to Ah Ma. Wants to be carried or asked Ah Ma "come!" to play with her. When she was throwing her toys on the floor, Ah Ma said cannot throw, she replied "I can".
I turned an unwanted minion t-shirt into her sleeping gown!! This is her minion gown.
Took me one whole night to put the pieces together and one evening to sew with the sewing machine. :D I feel so satisfied!
Koko plays with her imagining Mister wolf was there and they beat Mister Wolf up. She even imagined monster and baby. Baby drop from the tree was the game she played with Ah Yi.
This weekend in Muar mummy asked whether we can paint her 2 stools and a shoe cabinet white. I of course ensure we have all the paint and equipments and got everyone to start scraping, sanding and painting!
Koko is good at painting with the brush so he had to help.
Joshua helped us take these photos.
He helped with sanding and then to babysit Jasmine.
Painting started at around 10am and completed by 1pm. Yes! :)
And here's little Jasmine having her garden water hose fun.
She saw Jiu Jiu and Joshua play basketball, she took a stress ball with her and went out to join them.
She tried bouncing the stress ball like how they do with the basketball. After she's done playing with them, she went inside the house and still observing them from the tempered glass. She said to them from inside "good job" with thumbs up. "stop play ball".
We took her bicycle back to Muar for her to enjoy it in the big compound.
I took her to Wetex hoping to buy her some car toy, I asked her, she didn't want. She kept on pointing to masak masak and those girls doll set and said "I want this" "I want this". Until she refused to leave. So Joshua bought the cheapest of all, RM6 for a set hairdryer, comb and hair pins toys. Right after that during lunch, she and Joshua played it with a bear bear. Putting pink and purple hair clips on a koala bear, blow dry hair and asked Koala bear whether it like the look in mirror. Jasmine really enjoys that. :) Good job Joshua.
Group picture before we leave for Subang Jaya that day. Always thankful for our Ng family! :D
This is the first time we tested out the double stroller. Win! Jasmine didn't mind sitting in front and Jasmine was quite alright at the back.
But soon she refused to stay in the stroller and wants to walk around. Joshua took her.
She treated the whole Parkson like her playground. Joshua was tasked to watch her. She walked in front of him confidently and turn to the back saying "Becareful daddy!" Joshua replied "You! becareful" She said "I'll becareful!" :) She basically walks around Parkson touching almost anything she could reach and asked "Whats this" "Whats this" "Whats this"
Including a pack of renoma mens underwear which according to Joshua, she stared at the longest. Haha. She also put on a pair of sunglasses with Joshua's help and said "show mummy".
Then she saw some water bottles for girls. No matter how many times Joshua told her to put back to the shelf, she insisted not to. She was using it to play making tea. She said "tea is ready!" She pretended to pour tea into an imaginary cup for me in the middle of the walk lane.
This was other time we used the double stroller.
She also blew another candle off the cake at Homes.
Group picture. :) Lotsa sweet moments together for 1 month here. I love my mummy and Anne. :) :) Always there for me. Of course my koko too, otherwise mummy can't be here for 1 full month!Again, making Joshua wear bib.
One day she fell down at the upper landing and cried. I was comforting her, she went to take the stethoscope came to me and asked me to check her like a doctor. -_- When we were back in Muar end of the month, she even had the privilege to play with a real stethoscope (Evelyn's).
To my best efforts I try to do flashcards with her but she is getting harder and harder to concentrate. Most time she refuse to look at the cards.
One night she just decided to stuff all her blankets and napkins into her blouse.
On 7th January, she was walking down the upper landing, and at the last step, she jumped down.
She loves to press the button to open the sliding door. Almost everytime she pass by she try to press it. Joshua stopped her and said she must get permission before pressing the button.
Waking her up in the morning was one of the toughest to do. One day I tried by saying "di di is here" She woke up instantly to look for didi, to sayang him. One morning, she almost kick Jasper when she make a turn on our bed.
She loves to kiss Jasper's fingers & toes. Everytime she goes to him. she will pull out his mittens and booties to gain access to the cute little fingers & toes. Once Jasper accidentally scratched her face with his undulating nails, she became dramatic, few times she purposely run his fingers through her face and said "Ouch" and complained about the pain.
When playing with Joshua, she will asked to be carried like how we carry Jasper. Joshua always end up tickling her.
Again, imitate us change diaper for Jasper, on her bear bear. The diaper was put on for bear bear with Ah Ma's help.
Comes over midnight or early morning. Asks for nen nen from Joshua, not me. She likes to sleep on our pillows. Once she cried and said "Excuse me" so loud while crying until Joshua got up and she immediately sleep on his pillow. We were speechless!
As I stay home with Jasper until confinement over, Jasmine goes to church with daddy and Ah Yi. Here she is rocking out her peppa pig shoes before going out. She happily says goodbye to me and leave for Acts Kids.
According to Joshua, she has improved a lot at Acts Kids. Could follow instructions much better and of course more independent.
What she needs is to have something to do and she will be very ok there. Like playing game, picking up balls etc. Joshua will stay with he until game is over, and he will leave when they break to drink water and start art & craft.
Mummy Anne and Joshua took her to Empire's indoor playground one night while I stay home with Jasper. They first went to the lego shop for the free trials...
Then paid RM10 to enter the playground with lots of interesting stuffs.Including a little play kitchen!
She said "tea is ready!"
As usual, whenever she sits in the stroller, she plays with the cover. :)
The double stroller was so important and helpful! While Jasper is sleeping at the back, I could feed Jasmine when she sits in front.
And then it's nap time. She sleeps on the chair on the changing mat, with her bear bear.
This is weekend when Joshua is at home. We tried to encourage her to play blocks to encourage creativity instead of just playing all the masak masak.
And that minion was what Joshua brought back from work.
Here's one of the many meals Joshua cooked in morning before he goes to work. It will be enough for Jasmine & my lunch, and Jasmine's dinner. Usually Jasper will be asleep and I will eat while feeding her. Once Joshua accidentally cut his finger... I feel so bad... :(
She plays driving car game at the display cabinet.
I have fixed to bath Jasper in mid morning with Jasmine waiting outside the bathroom. She will get excited with the water and tend to interrupt by splashing water while I was still bathing Jasper. Sometimes to the extent I have to scold her. After that I felt bad, this girl likes to play with water, maybe I should encourage her? So on 21st Jan, in the evening, during her nap I quietly took the bath tub to the back. I put it on 2 wooden chairs and filled it with water when she was up. She came to me and asked me what I was doing. I said this is for you to play! Jasmine's special water time.
She was playing with the hairband so it was unintentional but I was glad she was wearing that cute hair band. :D
I gave her cups and bottles of different sizes to learn how water will fill into them and how water will be dispense. She was happy she even wash her face and got her hair wet.
Then I had to just put the tub on the floor so that it's on sturdy ground.
She has poured water on herself and wet her dress so I had to tie it up.
Soon, she sat into the tub. I only wish the weather had been warmer! Out of many days we were home, everyday was so warm except for this one day I decided to let her soak outdoor. She was so happy she managed to see a cat pass by, she said hi to passer by while soaking in the tub. Her diaper were FULL of water while she was in it. I thought I should do this again... but who knows, I never did it again, because we started toilet training..... more on that later.
We were eating at a pork burger restaurant. Jasmine was so hyper active that she was sweating so much although she's wearing a very airy blouse.
We realised we've been resorting to peppa pig videos to quiet her down too much, so we decided to try our best to bring her books along when we go out, so she can do some reading instead. The easiest to do in the restaurant should be to let her watch peppa pig but we tried to encourage her to draw on a small pad. :) It worked but it's also tiring on our part.Jasmine learnt to call Natalie and played ball with her in the pool.
When she took her nap, I didn't know that I should put diaper for her, I kept observing whether the panty get wet...
and really she peed in her sleep and wet the whole blanket and her blouse. She didn't get up.
Still sleeping soundly even after I changed her into diaper and new blouse and took out the wet blanket under her. @.@ She wore total 7 panties. She can pee few times within an hour without drinking water. Amazingly at night when Joshua came home and took her out to playground and buy dinner. She did not pee at all!
We kept on telling her she only can eat this chocolate if she pee into the bowl.
2nd reward!
Thereafter when I asked whether she wants niao niao, she will say OK! I even managed to forced her to pee an hour after she wakes up from her nap. She wore her second panty all the way till 7.30pm, total earned 5 chocolates.
From this!
