Taiwan Day 1 : Arrival

Very short day. :) 

23rd December, morning we even went to Shin Wee's house to meet with Shin Yee & Rayson! 

It's been some years since I last saw Shin Yee. :) :) And I can't wait to give them Christmas presents. :D

Then at around 11am, we came back to Subang to meet with my mummy and Anne. We had lunch (mummy cooked) and Jasmine didn't allow us to sit at Ah Ma's seat at our dining table. Cos after Ah Ma got up, Joshua sat on it and Jasmine told him off. Anyway we did our final packing.. ordered an Uber and found us on the way to KLIA2 !  Jasmine kept on ensuring that we don't forget her peppa pig bag. 

We arrived! Our flight is 5pm and we didn't do self check in so we arrived before 3pm.

We were stressed up in the airport because it was really packed. And this time we double triple confirm that all passports are in my bag. We lined up with the crazy crowd and finally gotten our boarding pass about half hour before boarding time.
Here we are walking fast to our boarding gate. In KLIA2, you have to do a whole lot of walking!

Joshua carried Jasper, Jasmine in the stroller.

After a while Jasmine wants to walk herself, she wants to walk with her peppa pig bag! She is so in love with this bag. :) She will walk and look back at the bag and laugh occassionally. It took her a while to understand the bag has to be behind her instead of in front.

Just before we walk down to the boarding gate, mummy saw a coffee place and Joshua also had the lightbulb. Evening coffee time!  So we stopped by for coffee. I didn't, I drank from Joshua's cup and mummy's cup. After a while we have to get going, so mummy's hot coffee was consumed on the go. It was a big cup, I tried to help but eventually just before the scan, we have to throw it away. I never like throwing away good coffee, still blaming Joshua for not buying a small one for mummy. :(

At one of the gates, they were strict in giving priority to only those with a kid, that means mummy & Anne to join the regular long never ending queue? Anne was quick to said "she's senior citizen" pointing at mummy, and then we got through. Not without much stares from people at the never ending queue. :P Kia su people feeling unfair.

At the boarding gate, we were looking for priority seats, because hey we are travelling with 2 kids yoh. Suddenly, Jasmine needs to niao niao.... so mummy & Anne took her and they took quite a while. 4.30pm it's way past nap time, and that's why Jasper started to be cranky. Jasmine & crew finally came back when the gate was open, we rushed to the front, in order to be called in first, with kids! with kids!
Finally we got into the plane. Jasper played for a while at the window seat which appears to be empty. And then when time to take off, he latched on and slept....

Jasmine sat in between Ah Ma and Ah Yi. When the airstewardess were warming up our food, there's the smell, she said she doesn't like it.

She didn't like her mac & cheese that I ordered... and instead wants to eat Ah Ma's rice. So they exchanged.

My Martin Yam noodles... was not nice. Too salty and texture was just bad.

Middle of the plane ride, Jasmine felt cold so Ah Ma wrap her with shawl and treated her with poky.

Anne told me she ate 2 packets of poky. @.@

See that scraf around her neck? Ah Ma gave her to keep warm.

She did some writing when Ah Yi was filling out the immigration cards.

Then, Jasper woke up. They were reunited. Both came to play at the empty seat between us.

Jasper is always trying to get down of the seat. Like a worm.

It gets a little colder so I dressed him up in cardigan. The new one we bought from mothercare just for this trip.

And then I was feeding him again when the pilot announced that we were arriving at Taipei. :D

Jasmine played a bit of tying of hair... and got really cheeky while eating some biscuits.

Then at touching down, due to ear pressure pain that she couldn't get rid of by drinking water & eating biscuits... she requested for hair band to be removed. And she did not cry, just seemed sad and queit.

When we finally touching down, Jasmine told us across the lane, "we are going to Taiwan u know?" "My peppa pig bag going to Taiwan k? Dont forget ah?" :)
And because she didn't sleep throughout the plane ride, she was knocked out at the airport.

We lined up to buy the local data plan and then met up with our taxi driver (9 seater car).

He was weird along the hour journey to our airbnb trying to get us to ditch our another driver who will take us to cing jing. Anyway we told him we will think about extending his service to us from 8 hours to 12 hours.

Here's our airbnb, upstairs. It's a very narrow space.

We put the kids to sleep, Jasmine sleep next to the wall while Jasper and I sleep on the other piece of mattress.

Anne and Joshua walked to the nearest Family Mart to buy instant noodles. So we had supper. 

They're quite delicious and strangely satisfying to indulge. Hehe.

And this is our very short Day 1. :) Just arrive, met a weird driver and realised our airbnb is so extremely small & compact...  and sleep. :) Next day, we plan to go to Dan Shui! :D
