Taiwan Day 9 : 青青草原 - 彩虹眷村 - Goodbye

Last day here. Picture taken from our hotel room.
Jasper with his bruises on forehead.
Good morning Jasmine. We were all busy getting ready while the kids just woke up from beauty sleep.
This is the staircase leading up to Ah Ma's nook. Jasmine came down all by herself until she slipped and fell on her kneel from the last 3rd step.
I had no idea what to wear. It's a very frustrating problem. I need to wear nursing friendly outfit but I don't think I look good in those as opposed to a dress.
We quickly packed up the remaining stuffs, mostly were packed the night before. We zip up everything lined up and counted how many pieces of luggages, before we went down for a bit of photo session before breakfast.
This was our extended bed. The are on the far right, next to window was where Jasmine peed on her first night here. We basically left it there for the sun to dry it up and I must say it did a pretty good job, including drying up the nap mat.
Down at the garden. We know the surrounding sceneries are good enough for us to take good photos so decided to just walk around a bit to take photos before breakfast.

Look at Jasmine so happily posing in front of a flower plant.

Vegetable garden.
And rest chairs. Jasmine said she was hungry so she's munching on the ginger breadman biscuits with impatient Ah Ma sitting next to her.
The cup and the chopstick was her toy.

Took photos with little Jasper, the blue sky is really nice.
Though I still struggle to keep my eyes open.
And get the boy to cooperate.

Then Jasmine came to join in.
My favourite shot. Makes me look thin and I've got my babies in!
Mummy was very impatient for whatever reasons. She kept asking us to cut short and lets go for breakfast.

Here's us finally at breakfast. We have about 10-15 minutes to eat, and have our bags all loaded into the other driver's car and head to 青青草原.

After breakfast, while the driver is getting our 12 bags from 3rd floor to his car, the kids play outside again. One last round of playing with cats. Jasper didn't mind sitting next to the cats. He was very very close and fearless.
Jasmine was holding to her peppa pig roller bag and just going in circles in excitement

We arrived at 青青草原 at slightly past 9am. Driver just dropped us off and said wait for us at the exit. We don't like him.
Once we enter, we immediately look for the sign to see 绵羊秀 which is on the left hand side and just follow the road all the way... down.. hill...
If we had come earlier, we could've explored around more and understand the place first.

It's a pain to walk down hill with 2 kids and stroller... and the sun was BURNING HOT.
Joshua and I came down further while I advised Anne & Mummy to stay at midway.

Here's where mummy and Anne watched the 绵羊秀.

Basically see how the New Zealander farmer shed the sheep skin and crack some jokes and share some general knowledge sheep related.

Half way through the show I decided we should explore around instead of watch it all.. so we walked ALL THE WAY back up!! And then rested on the bench under the tree, away from the sun.

We just sit and rested... it's rather tiring... and mummy is reluctant to move at all.
Jasper has fallen asleep so we let him sleep in the stroller.
I have asked Joshua to go ask around, where exactly do we get to have close contact with the sheeps!!?? I come all the way here for that, now tell me where are those sheeps!

Then Jasmine needs to use the toilet so I took her. The nearest toilet is outside the entrance -_- So we walked back up and out, used the toilet, saw that there are 2 "palaces" place where kids can play and take photos, I promised Jasmine we will come back, as I thought we will come back up, I thought the sheeps will be there....

When I came back down to the middle part, Joshua said he found out that the sheeps will be roaming free at exactly where the 绵羊秀 was! What???!!! We just walked all the way UP hereeee.. now we have to go back down??
Mummy is not going to move, so she remain sitting there with Jasper in the stroller. The rest of us came down and found many sheeps just roaming free.
We have to look for the sheep food vending machine, buy and start feeding them. Many vending machines I went to were sold out but much later somehow Joshua managed to buy.
Here they are feeding, Jasmine was quite scared of the sheeps, especially their saliva.
She screams when Joshua forced her too much and the sheep came too near.

On the other hand, we were all very motherly towards the sheeps.
God described us as sheeps!! We are so cute in His eyes! :D

It's very cushiony.... and not stinky at all!

See Jasmine trying to escape?

And there was poneys. You can pay to ride one round on it. We asked Jasmine whether she wants, she said yes. It was a very firm yes.
We didn't know why, but she loves riding on the poney! Cost us around RM20.
She looked really serious and proud throughout.... held her head up high and holding tightly to the handle.

After that, we try to ask where is the exit....
Because looks like we're quite done here....
And we found out the exit is actually just down here, turn right........ @.@

Anne actually walked down to confirm that indeed was the exit. Means......... we have to go UP HILL again to get mummy & Jasper to come down....................!!!!
Joshua and I went up... while Jasmine stays with Anne.
We braved ourself for our round 2 of UP HILL that morning. I was impressed there are old granny with walking sticks climbing up hill in front of me. Also there were a sheep that was running up hill as well, as if it was searching for someone like us too. Haha.
Finally we arrived... and mummy did not like the idea of going back down, but no choice lo mummy... So Joshua carried Jasper and led mummy down hill while I followed at the back with the stroller on my shoulder. Thank God for the shoulder strap.

Once we came down, Anne said she had brought Jasmine into the souvenir shop one round and then Jasmine told her she wants to go on the poney again. Ok so we found a place mummy can sit down away from the sun and we took Jasmine for her poney ride round two
Look at that confident little girl.

We then took Jasmine into souvenir shop to buy fridge magnets for Subang Jaya and Muar. I like to see her point at the fridge magnet and start talking about this holiday. :) And the Muar's magnet, we told her it's for Jiu Jiu, she picked a pink one if not wrong.

We let the boy take a little walk around too before we meet the driver at the exit.

This fearless boy will run towards the sheep anytime.
So we were officially done with 青青草原 , initially planned to eat lunch elsewhere but the driver said he can't recommend. Lousy! So we decided to just buy lunch as there were many stalls along the exit, and there's a public benches for us to sit & rest.

So we all wait here while Joshua and Anne went to get food. Jasmine was already hungry so she's munching on the sweet potato crackers.

There's a toilet nearby, Jasmine said she needs to niao niao so I took her there.
See the public toilet had a chair for baby? It's for mum travelling out with 2 kids. So considerate.
After she's done, Ah Ma said she wants to go, so I asked Jasmine to take Ah Ma to toilet she straight away took her hands to go. I also asked her to tell Ah Ma the water was very cold and she did too. :)

Lunch is here, we eat some mee hoon and bamboo rice.
I didn't quite agree with this lunch plan, it was Joshua who insisted but I guess this time he made the right call. The kids were hungry.

We managed to 下山 without jam. We thought since it's 31st December the traffic going up the mountain will be congested, it's more than usual but not jam at all for us.

We travelled in this 9 seater car. It's rather comfortable as in I get to sit at the back on a complete seat with Jasper in middle, with a very comfortable car seat. Jasmine was in middle car seat with Ah Ma & Joshua on her left & right.
But Jasper didn't know how to enjoy this comfort, he kept on crying until I take him out to feed. @.@

Our next destination before heading towards airport is this 彩虹眷村.
Next to it is a playground for kids! Jasper immediately went crawling and climbing.
It was a very very very hot day. Note that I have changed into my airport outfit. I change it at the 青青草原 toilet.

Jasmine only played for a while and didn't want to continue suspect because there was no swing. She was unhappy. Also the toilet was very dirty.
Group picture. First glance it's an interesting place...
This the 90 year old rainbow uncle, an ex army man who likes to draw, who managed to make himself famous.
But other than the colourful art, that's all. It's quite boring after a while. Jasmine was bored too throughout the tour here.
Most drawings of people the eyes were looking up and some looking fierce or ghost-like.
And some drawings are very buddhism... which I don't like and don't want to discuss about.
Look at Jasmine so bored.

Just a short while, we decided to leave.
The other half of the house was blocked for repair & maintenance.
Here we are near the huge drain at the exit. Some locals saw Jasper and found him very cute.

Next, the lousy driver recommended me to eat famous ice cream. Since it's a hot day, we agreed. It's actually a very commercialised dessert shop in the town centre. And the driver said he will come get us in 15 minutes sharp, he won't wait long to avoid being summoned. That strict.
We came down to the shop and realised it's impossible for us to get the ice cream because queue was too long. So we just walked around taking testers. Jasmine told me her favourite is chocolate

Then she needs to niao niao again. I asked for toilet and was directed upstairs to this very high class restaurant washroom. As we walked in, even the door was so wow, it's a sliding door with button. Jasmine asked me why so clean one?
And sitting on the toilet bowl, she points to the wall and asked - What's this? (toilet seat washer) what's this? (toilet seat sanitizer)  Everything here more high class than Lao Yeh hotel. Haha.
This is the hand wash area... I encouraged her to do a little dance here..

This is the sliding door before we go out.
And we came back down to the meeting point, Jasper was having fun playing with this transparent pillar.
Done. Met with the driver who sort of scolded us for walking too slow to his car. I think he's too particular, like a typical melancholy, over perfectionist and no wonder he married late, so old and have no kids.
He told us we will take us to a place for dinner, for the winning meatball. Exagerated that after we eat this, we will not forget it and will ask him to take us here again.
Turns out this meatball shop is plain pathetic.
We hated it. We really just had MEATBALLS with soup, with a bit of raddish, that's it. No rice. No noodles. No drinks. And the meatballs didn't even taste fantastic.
The driver came solely because he wants to buy frozen meat balls for himself!!!
The only thing comforting is that the shop supervisor also didn't quite like the driver. As the driver seems impatient to buy his stuffs and go back out to the car fearing summon, she kept saying this place is not so strict he don't have to be so uptight. And when she see us take out the bamboo rice to feed the kids, she offered us free hot soup & raddish so it's easier for the kids to swallow.
There were lots of rubbish talks by the driver in the car that I don't think I want to write here cos it's not worth to be remembered. Cut it short, he sent us to airport. On the way to airport, Jasmine played with Ah Ma. She sings too as usual. But it was a running nose day for her, so Ah Ma had to stand by tissue to help her wipe up.

We arrived. With our bags and lined up to check in.

Joshua spent time talking with us and didn't bother to line up, then we realised the line was building up so fast. Thank God after counter open it moved quite fast.
Then we went to eat burger. Wanted to order pork burger but all sold out. And we saw the meatball franchise at the footcourt. Lots of bad words towards the driver ok!!!

Anyway, the kids had a lot of fun at this play house corner while we adults eat our dinner. We fed them french fries.
On the way to boarding gate, Jasmine needs to use the toilet again. We were both impressed with the smallllll toilet bowl next to the big one. She's so cute to smile so sweetly for photos. Don't have mama for these toilet photos k? Promise these are just P&C. :) :) :)

Our flight was a night flight, so we all sleep throughout the plain ride. I had Jasper sleeping on my chest which made my posture very tiring but no choice.
Finally, after 5 hours, we successfully and safely landed at KLIA2. Jasper was still sleeping.
Jasmine was awake due to excitement since we touch down and when reach the baggage claim, she fell asleep again.
The buggy was again not in operation so we did quite a lot of walking to baggage claim and to check out. And then Joshua had to line up to book taxi to take us home.
These are our luggages. Big and small, total 12.
Then Joshua said the fares was going to be more than RM200 if we go back immediately. The fares after 6am will be RM100 plus. We decided to eat roti canai, since we have about half hour to kill.
So we did the roti canai thing and was so so happy to be eating dhaal, shared the pictures with Xiao Fu who still were concern whether we arrived home safely. :) We've made such good friend.
Anyway taxi fare after 6am still come up to RM190+ We got conned but nvm.... it was a van. Took us back home and everybody got to rest the rest of the day.
We adults too turns to sleep. I unpacked all our bags and did all the laundry, total 4 loads!
The kids had rosy cheeks but we couldn't capture it in picture. They were moving almost constantly. Haha..

This sums up our Taiwan Holiday!!
Wish we've done this earlier when ringgit were stronger but can't deny we still had fun.
Mummy said she will follow us again provided there will be less walking! @.@ actually I agree, hehe..
