Mini Milestones : Jasmine's 48th month

Jasmine is starting to share her dreams with us, she said there was crabs (happily) and then I woke her up already.
Later in the month she said she dreamt of dinosaurs and she wants to dream of Acts Kids instead

1st-2nd August, we had mild fever on and off but we still managed to send her to LL
We managed to get her to drink milk from cup in LL finally
But she said she will drink from cup in LL, drink from bottle at home still.

Teacher Mickee told her to show me her cat walk move, it was her cute signature dance with shaking bum bum sideways while walking & smiling.

Her ABC has improved but then Teacher Mickee say they are learning pronounciation already... and she's still not 100% accurate in ABC recognition, so she's still trying to catch up. Poor girl.

She always wants to pray when it's at night, "for wolves to not come near me". Once she requested for prayer that they "not bite my bum bum, tiger and bear bear too. And crab."

5 August, we are back in Muar.
She helps to feed milk to baby Jolene.

She asked Ah Ma for fererro rocher.

Ah Ma gave her this scarf and taught her how to pretend to have long hair.

9 August, she was excited when Nathan and Natalie Judah etc came to our house. She said "hello Natalie" when standing next to her to eat dinner together. Then she wants to stand next to Nathan. But after dinner when playing, she got angry with Nathan over the pink string and sat on Ikea lounge said "I don't want to play with all of you".
Later she told me she only likes a few friends to come to our house, not too many.
Ok so her small birthday party next month should be what she will like. :)

Dinner time she said very quick prayer, so that she can eat dinner faster.

She's rejected nutrilite Vitamin C, but finally accepted the Multivits, after we returned the Vitamin C and bought multivits instead.

She doesn't like it when we order spicy food. At black & white, she said to Joshua "daddy next time you ask them don't make your noodle spicy ah" so that she can eat too. :)

Ribbon the newborn gift from Wei Chee, finally using it.
11th August, we had a movie night watching Bolt, we had snacks and guava but she didn't eat the guava.  After the movie ends, she was choosing other movies, and saw Garfield. Joshua said to her Garfield is a fat cat. She said "yes, like ah Yi, Ah Yi is fat" @.@

We finally send her for swim trial class which only takes half hour. We were a bit late but that didn't stop the teacher from giving her the trial. We sat aside and watched. She took time to warm up and eventually blow bubbles a bit etc.. but at the end of it, we chatted with the other teacher and decided she should start the class when she's nearing 5 years old because we worry she will progress slower than other kids and won't be able to proceed to next level, when her other classmates may be advancing towards.
We asked her how was it, she said the water is salty "soity".

She baked cheese crackers with Ah Yi. She pressed too flat and those got burnt. They spelled her ame with crackers too.

She sings the acts kids song Twelve Disciples "he has called us to" but she sang as "he has gone to school".

One day when she was playing, she used her toy to put her food. I showed her the toy plate is dirty so must wipe before use. I showed her the dirty tissue after I wipe it and she then took it to the sink and washed with soap. She said she's going to wash all her toys.

She started to like taking a wet cloth and go around the house wiping cleaning including wanting to go upstairs to wipe. Haha.
After she play playdoh, it stained the white stool. She went running to get a wet cloth to wipe it clean. Very confident and proud.

Sunway Lagoon, this time is where we try to educate more on animals.
We saw how far a tiger can jump (markings on the ground).
We also tried to remember the bear eats 3 items - fruits, insects and honey.
Here she is pointing at swans.

We spotted scorpions too.

She may miss the animals at the petting zoo the most!

When we had our dinner at Boran, she said she wants to go home already. And there were 2 ladies sitting at the other table, she saw and said she's very cute.

When we put Jasper on time out, she too wants to discipline him, by threatening him everyday time out. Joshua tells her she cannot do that, only daddy mummy can, she said "but I want".

When she sees me taking rotan to threaten Jasper must pick up the biscuit he threw on the floor, crumbs one by one.. she said more than once "mummy you just spank him lah".

I realised that she can't recognise numbers! So started to coach her at home. It's really painful.
Later found out from teacher Mickee that they didn't teach numbers yet.
We tried to teach simple maths at home and also English as much as we can.

On the way to LL, as usual she has a notebook and pen. She wrote the word "egg" on it, still remember the painful coaching we did in Muar.
Takes photo herself in the car seat.

19 August, we bought her a new pair of H&M shoes for RM50. She's size 24. It's for her flower girl outfit. Joshua managed to secure the flower girl task for her, for his colleague Rachel.

That Sunday in Summit, we saw a kids dress shop and went in to try on a few. While Jasper fights for the mirror with her, she said angrily "eh!! Jeje is beautiful!!" Haha!
I bought a 2 handle cups for her to use in LL, because after few days she complained she wants to go back to using bottle in LL. Teacher say a 2 handles cup will be easier as their fingers are still learning to gain strength to hold the cup.

Before bed she requests for water, refused to drink from my bottle, rather drink from a cup upstairs.

One day I forgot to pack her breakfast, she was angry when I asked whether she likes her breakfast (with the cheese crackers) she said "you forgot to pack for me!!"

Not really into durian, we realised. But that one she had in her hand we later found out doesn't taste that good.

She does "attention" for Jasper during milk time.

23 August, she coloured a sticker like an abstract art and sticks to her LL blouse, waiting to show it to her friends next morning. :)

Very good jeje, will hold didi's hands when going around in the playground.
See daddy fly drone for the first time.

Bed time reading

Ah Ma, and the muar clan came. She dances for baby Jolene.
In school she learnt about merdeka and malaysia flag. She recognises the flag when we see it outside when we drive around, she said red white red white.

29th August, she was coughing a lot.. but still very playful.

Then Joshua got worried when hear her breathing loud and heavily, so he used the stethoscope with Evelyn's guidance, managed to see her chest and counted her breathing, decided that she really was wheezing and breathing quickly. We sent her to hospital emergency immediately.
She was checked by an MO who advised us to admit her for regular nebuliser treatment.

Here she is in the hospital gown.

They took some of her blood for test and put in the pipe for admission. She hated it, insist on seeing what they are doing and freaked out when she sees her own blood was extracted.

She said she wants daddy to stay with her.. not mummy. :( But the neighbour ward is also a mum so Joshua cannot stay. While they waited for the room, I drove back to get all the things needed for the admission. (didn't realised we had a flat tyre!)

Joshua drove home in the rain with sleeping Jasper and realised we had one flat tyre. He decided to take EL the next day to get the tyre fixed.

Blood test result was that she had more white cells. Her oxygenation was 98 when she sent her in, increased to 100 after the nebuliser. They came in to do the nebuliser 3 hourly, i.e. 3, 6, 9, 12.
I tried to make her bed as comfortable as possible.

Her medicine : inhaler (flixotide) 2 puffs, saline spray 2 sprays each nostril, oxynase 2 sprays each nostril and antibiotics. [More details in a separate post about her asthmatic journey].
Doctor Angelina came at 9am plus, said she suspect Jasmine has asthma. So for 4 months she should have no cold bath, no cold drinks and no acidic fruits. She hated the nose sprays, screamed & cried so loud.
When she does the nebuliser she's very proud and even showed to Jasper.
We went for a chest x-ray, she was scared at first but did very well.
Jasper was in LL and there she is taking her afternoon nap.
After this Joshua went to fix the Serena's tyre.
After Jasper's back from LL, he came and eat some of Jasmine's hospital food.

She has visitors! Angelo who gave her kit kats and kinder bueno.
Then Lisa came, where she decided to wear her sunglasses and pose for pictures.
Look at that pose!
That night, she kept telling me she is not sleep, didn't sleep until 1.15am. Kept watching tv and told me she wants to sleep on my bed instead. We wore socks for her to keep her warm when she kicks her blankets away.

Finally slept.
Every morning when we waited for Doctor to come, we thought we could go home. But no, we stayed a total 3 nights. 3rd night, Joshua stayed with her, and she was looking for me the whole night.
Anyway that day we know we had to stay 3rd night, we went out to the shops downstairs for a walk.
Another killer pose.
No one teaches her how to pose!!

On the way back to her ward, she said "today is a sad day" I asked "why?" she said "Because I don't want to stay in the hospital. I only like to stay at home"
I asked "didn't the walk to the shops make you feel better?"
"No... I am still very sad"
This is a happy cheeky smiley girl saying all those words. :(

That evening I went back with Jasper to freshen up.
And then she had 2 more visitors. Zach zach and the Martins.
She saw how Zach Zach ride the balance bike and she told him that she will get her bike soon for her birthday.

I took her cutting supplies there at night to cheer her up after dinner. Hoping we can make the cake topper together. But end up helping her to do cutting.
Despite her right hand being trapped and tied up, she still manage to cut, with a bit of help from me.
She pretended she is the mummy queen, I am the baby princess.
We did the cutting on the other desk because the neighbour ward already checked out. We got the whole room to ourselves and it was quite nice.
