Last day in hospital, she was quite engrossed in cutting paper with scissors. I initially planned to make her cake topper with her help but ending up being her helper to cut paper. She was using one finger free on her right hand to hold the scissors and cut, sometimes using the left hand. So I was there to help hold the paper or help press the scissors. She pretended she is the queen mummy, I am the baby princess, daddy is the king and Jasper is the princess jeje. Ah Yi is the prince. For so so so long in this whole month (and following month), each time she sits down to cut paper... I tried to ask her to make Jasper the prince instead, she refused, she said just pretend only.
When nurse removed the needle on her right hand, she cried so loud. I thought she would be happy?
Finally home from hospital. We did a little treasure hunt for her to locate her birthday present.
She has to do nasal spray 4 sprays into each nostril, twice a day! She hated it and I could understand why. She wants daddy to do and must have a blanket / napkin in her hand, ready to wipe after the sprays. She struggled and tried to run away in the beginning but after that she knew she has to do it, so she will stay still. She always reward her with chocolates and also, the antibiotics that doctor prescribed, she dislike too, which is rare. So this one must be very hard to swallow.
Here, doing cutting cutting again.
We took the strider bike out for a good spin on Sunday night at Home Pro, while trying to search for a good light and wall fan for our living room. She did quite well on the bike.
4th Sept, is a public holiday but Joshua had to work. So Anne and I took the opportunity to go to Ikea. Just before that Jasmine was watching peppa pig going to windy castle, so she told me in the car that she wanted too. I told her yes we are going to windy castle, I branded Ikea was the windy castle to her and she loved it. She fell in love with this study nook and told us she wants the same at home. Challenging wish to fulfill. -_-
5th Sept, I hugged her before I go to work, she told me "I will miss you today".
Doctor wants her to stay home for 2 weeks before going back to school. So our plan was 1st week stay home with Ah Yi, 2nd week stay home with home owners.
So her first day home with Ah Yi, they went to Aeon Big (windy castle no. 2). They bought chicken, she asked Ah Yi why, Ah Yi said to cook it. She asked why want to cook. Well because we want to eat.
Lunch time I came back home with food for Ah Yi, and while we eat our lunches together, I read Fox in Socks to her twice until she finished her lunch. She loved the book I was surprised, because I myself didn't quite like it. Then I said I was going back to work, she said no, and why I cannot work at home. Haha. Also she asked where are her friends since it's her birthday. Yeap, it's the actual day, but birthday party is not until 8th September.
That evening, I took back the flower girl dress I ordered from Lazada Tao Bao. It fits her!
Joshua went to buy her a slice of chocolate cake slice, where we sang birthday song for her to celebrate. She blew off the candles by herself.
Here she is mouth stained with chocolate and pretend to be working on a computer.
Another lunch time, I bought some sugar cookies for RM2, she likes it at first but the next day she doesn't like it anymore, because it is too sweet.
We let her practise her biking at the back, trying to let Jasper use the scooter but always end up Jasper will cry to ride on the bike.
Can't remember it being which night, where she couldn't eat her dinner. We didn't force. But before her bath time, Ah Yi was reading a book that has a rooster in it to her, she said to Ah Yi "I feel like eating the chicken". During bathtime, she told me she wants to eat chicken, so I went downstairs microwaved it and brought it upstairs to feed her.
Ah Yi tries to do some workbooks with her at home, she taught her how to count beyond 10. When comes to twelve, she explained it as "Two Elve", then when comes to 13, she said "Three Elve". Another time was she counted as twelve, threeteen.
Other perks with having Ah Yi around was she did mani pedi after nap, sitting comfortably on the bed while listening to worship songs. She get to pick her own nail polish colour and decide which goes where.
When Ah Yi do nose sprays with her, after 2 days she said she is big girl and she won't cry during nose sprays. And she said confidently, "I can do so many times!". Such a strong girl.
Finally is 8th September! Her outdoor snack party. I came home after lunch while Joshua took half day off. She was having her nap in living room and it was raining. We had plan B to have the party indoor but that didn't stop us from inflating all the balloons I had in the house. Can't even recall where I got them.
It's quite stressful when you plan party for your kid, because they have certain expectation and you just keep praying and hoping that everything will just turn out fine...
Only last minute I was informed Lisa was going to come. I told her about it and she remembered that we need to give Lisa the party pack! She remembered us making the party packs together and she wrote names for Eli, Isabel, Kara and Kayleb. So, I quickly made one party pack for Lisa.
When the other kids and parents start coming... phew.... I feel much much much better.
After outdoor, she suddenly took all her friends to living room to play.
Joshua quickly play the video where the kids laughed and said Jasmine was on TV.
She also took them upstairs to her room.
Once she was suddenly angry and told Joshua this is different from last time and that she's disappointed. -_-
She made angry face when she's in her room. I asked her what she wants, she said want to eat cookies. Ok so I took her downstairs and gave her cookies.
The kids played dress up upstairs, I helped provide nice fabric and tied for them to pretend it's either a robe or a dress. They also play with the balloons, each kid get one and then they also play hide & seek.
Birthday cake!! :)
Next morning open birthday presents. Only 2 presents. One is a Princess Sofia figurine, another one is a white board and magnetic maze, 2 in 1.
Our last day in Sunway Lagoon.
Compared to exactly 1 year ago when we first entered the park... how much she's grown... oh my baby girl. :)
Bye bye Sunway Lagoon...
Dinner with Daniel & Jade, Rayson & Yee See. The 3 girls sat together to do colouring activities.
Then ate sesame seed together.
Sunday we went to SS12 park for a picnic and ride the balance bike, and that day we opened the new bike that we bought for Jasper.
Role play in the kitchen with daddy.
Beat the egg with Ah Yi.
Workbook time with Ah Yi. See that this corner still does not have direct fan coverage and that the lights are yellow. We are going to add a wall fan and replace the existing yellow light to a warm white kind of light.
So after staying home with Ah Yi for 1 week, we took her to see doctor for follow up, and doctor said she could return to school.
Means we don't need homeowner to come.. but they already were coming. So first 2 days she was there full day, and the other 3 days was just half day. I think they fed her half boiled egg and lots of digestive biscuits there.
She was very happy to be back in school, she told us Wei Wong is her best friend and she wants to invite him to Jasper's birthday party.
17th Sept, she woke up and was in very good mood, because she had a ballerina dream where she dance while painting our faces. Later after Acts Kids she tried to spin on one leg like a ballerina.
That night, she asked for prayer, that she wants to dream of all he LL friends.
Movie night again at our room.
Helped to encourage Jasper to poop into potty, but success rate still zero.
Wants to use training chopsticks since I put it in the diaper bag.
We went to Courtyard Book Xcess to buy book for Isabel's birthday party at Homes. Took their bikes along.
Here's at car park, she was encouraging Jasper to keep going.
Monday, we forgot to inform teacher that we would like to cancel the birthday celebration, at 3pm I got a call asking whether I was going to arrive. We found out that it was already announced and there was for sure disappointed when it was said that we had emergency and couldn't come. We were so guilty so we promised to do the birthday celebration on Tuesday.
That night, Joshua took her along to buy birthday cake to bring to LL next day.
Finally on 19th Sept, we were there at LL for her birthday party. She was smiling while eating papaya sitting next to Judah.
Science experiment with mummy! I realised we have been slacking on this so I felt that we should just do something, although not great or not successful, at least we do to expose her to the idea of science.
Homes before going back to Muar. Celebrate Isabel's birthday.
Back in Muar and she was glad to meet baby Jolene.

Back in Subang Jaya, she likes to squeeze with Jasper her to drink milk together. Note that she's using her sippy cup. She sometimes asked for it instead of using bottle.
Another Science experiment with daddy on Sunday. I think this one didn't turn out quite right, so end up being more of a painting session.
Sending her to school one happy morning, she was in good mood.
We had movie night, to watch the new Despicable Me, she saw Gru laugh, she said cannot laugh too much later cough.
30th September weekend, Ah Ma was with us!! :D She was having fever 38.5 after nap, was tired & moody. We were so worried she would pass the Influenza bacteria to Ah Ma. LL confirmed it's not just viral fever but Influenza. However both of them took the vaccination more than a year ago and somehow protected them from the full swing symptoms.
After we bought balance bikes for both of them, we know we want to sell off this trike, but suddenly they were playing with it again... so we decided to keep it longer.
Wore the Hush Puppies skirt that Evelyn said it's a bit big for Jolene, so let Jasmine wear first.
That's all for September updates! It's getting harder and harder to write and catch up! I feel that I am almost always clearing backlogs.
