This 4 year old girl, started to dislike soup for dinner. She would just want noodles or plain rice. When we make the same thing for her and Jasper, I had to make sure hers is with much lesser soup, and more soup given to the soup boy.
And pattern.
After dinner we usually sit down to do workbook, one night as closing I just taught Jasmine to spin the gasing. She tried to do it and did quite well, Jasper was amused and kept asking her to do again.
In the mathematics department, we are only doing simple maths and counting. She could count to 20 but always missing 16.
Her imaginary play is still going strong, until the corn popper that we bought at San Francisco Salvation Army for $5, was pretended as baby Ana. She will put her to sleep, feed her, rock her. And she also takes cooking toy pretend to spank us.The next morning, when she woke up she was because she was going to LL. She said she wants to go to South America! (still remember.....)
Another time before bed, she pretended to be Teacher Mickee and daddy is Zach Zach. She pretend baths him near the door knob and rolled up napkins to use as towels to dry him up. When she lies down to sleep and Joshua gave him a good night kiss, she said "Zach Zach cannot kiss girls ah".
She realises that Jasper's red car seat is more comfortable. and will always fight for it. Until I made a make shift pillow as head rest for her. She's easily contented, we love her for that attitude.
But one day in a drizzle, she sits in Jasper's car seat again, while I was carrying Jasper. She said she likes it but I had to really be stern and make her go back to her own seat. Last month Jasper cried all the way home after agreeing to swap car seat with her.
When we go out to eat, she no longer wants to sit on baby chair, she said she's big girl.
4th Nov, Jasper in an anger moment, pulled out about 4 of Jasmine's hair. It was a friction over guava eating with Jiu Jiu and Jasmine just happened to stand next to him. It was a painful time for me because I know Jasper was not receiving the correct teaching method from my brother (who is slightly bias), thus I won't want to heavily punish him in front of people that do not love him enough, why should I embarass my own son right. On the other hand, I feel really painful to see Jasmine being the victim when Jasper couldn't manage the tense situation, it was what a 2yo knew best, let it out on jeje.
After the incident, I went to talk to Jasmine, whether she's angry at Jasper. To my surprise, she said no! She said she only felt painful and fell down on the floor. :)
Who would'nt love this girl??
This is during homes, where all the kids play in the room. All squeezed in Jasper's bed and pretend it is a tent. Asked for my help to put all the blankets over for them.
I am thankful and blessed that my kids will grow up with this bunch of kids from church. :)
One Sunday, I found out that the girl that bosses Jasmine was was Dora! At the Acts Kids praise & worship area, Dora came to say hi and Jasmine didn't want to reply. Mickee came to tell me that it is ok if she doesn't want to play with Dora, because she's quite rough. I immediately knew, the infamous anonymous girl is Dora.
She's been skipping naps on weekends. At least 3 times this month. But when I read her a book and then both of us lie down on the Ikea chaise lounge, she will eventually fall asleep, although after me. Haha.
One evening when she skips nap. She plays like this. :)
She played stacking like this alone while we were all sleeping and apparently she kept dropping them and woke Ah Yi up. Ah Yi asked her to play on the floor (she was playing on the table).
And she kept some under the stool. Haha. That evening, we did science experiment outside to show them Vortex.
Hair trim again, because the flower girl project is over and recently 4 hair pulled out by Jasper. This time I am determined to give her a short hair style.
She doesn't seem to like it? Nah she's fine!
Free art time for them, is something I started recently in hope that they can express themselves in anyway they like. Jasmine drew a long hair woman and then wanted to add a boy and a girl. She said the woman is me. They got their hands and feet and pants dirty with the colours but it is really such a happy time, minus the time they fight la.
They also tried to kill a bug, Jasmine killed it with a book and said "I died it!" She asked for a trophy cup for the achievement (more on overcoming the fear for me) and I took one of her toy we all pretend that's the trophy. Later in the month when Joshua killed another bug, she gave him that toy as his trophy too.
7th Nov, she stayed home with me to do cutting, while Jasper goes to church with daddy.
Cut and glue activity can only be done when Jasper is not around seriously. So she just cut and glue into a book, she drew a stroller.
Then she drew another stroller with daddy pushing, she was very stress about drawing daddy's eye brows, and after that we all hang it on the wall, under the light switch to at the stairs.
She also shows us her very cheeky curvy dance moves. We asked where she learn it from she said "I learn it myself". Haha.
Teacher Mickee told us that she is a natural performer.
Always asked didi, you want fast or slow?
One day after come back from LL, they were playing with water outside and then they fought as usual, Jasmine started to cry. She said that Jasper had bitten her back, I lifted up the blouse and found no teeth mark so I thought it was nothing severe. Not until Joshua bathed her and found the really huge red deep teeth mark in a higher position, a place that I missed. I saw it and felt so sad... I didn't want to snap a picture because I don't wish to remember it...
If only they can just play peacefully like this everyday... and not hurt each other.
Prayer service. It is not easy for her to find her click, honestly. Because her classmates that comes to church are all boys. And the other girls from other age groups were very clickish. The only one that loves to play with her is Lisa but we don't quite like that girl. :( :( :( 2018 I am praying for Jasmine to find a good friend, for good influences and great fun to have around, form happy memories!
These two are capable of playing under the table in front of the stairs while I take a nap in the living room.
Set up christmas tree! Previous year she pulled out some of the leaves on the tree, this year she's much older and very careful.
Joshua thinks I put up the tree too early, but I think it's nice to have the tree up earlier than later, so we can enjoy the christmas ambience longer.
She also want to ride on daddy's motorbike esp after she sees Jasper had a go.
This month she grew very fond of the butterfly book that she lost interest a while back. She said because it is beautiful. Put it next to her to sleep at night, even took it with her to our room when she comes over at night.
One night when she sits down with Joshua for workbook time, they were doing maths and she said "it's so easy" but it took them a long and hard time to complete. :(
We removed the babygate to the kitchen and they were overjoyed especially Jasmine. She said she could finally walk through and did it repeatedly in and out, in and out. And asked us to make sure we don't put it back. Haha.
She is getting very considerate and helpful. One night during dinner she accidentally spilled my fried rice and dashed to the toilet to get me a wet tissue. Means she pulled the toilet roll, went to the sink to wet it and pass to me. I was angry at first but I couldn't get angry at her anymore. :) She's such an angel! God, thank you so much. :)
18th Nov, her performance!!
The costume was included in the RM150 fees paid, vest from Ikea, pants form soda kids and tools from Jusco. We had to wear white long sleeve underneath so what I did was let her wear her white cardigan and make her outfit cool by wearing pink socks that match her pink shoes, so they look like a pair of pink boots!
Neat and tidy is always my style for my kids, that means button all the way up.
Jasper was also performing so they took a picture together.
So proud of her independently waiting for her turn.
Here's rehearsals. During rehearsal she did very well but one thing her hat kept falling off because it is loose and her head is small.
Did so well!
After the rehearsal I went to her to tighten her hat and told her if the hat fall on the floor, let it be, just continue with your performance.
This is the actual performance where teacher arranged them in wrong position! Not only that, the teacher tried to make her wear the hat up which will risk it fall to the front, covering the face, thank God after she adjusted the hat fall back to the right & comfortable place again.
Both herself and Alycia was confused in the beginning.
But that didn't stop my natural performance to give her all at the shaking shaking part!
Oh yeahh... bring it on!
We are super proud!!
Eating time, she refused to take picture with Teacher Mickee...
Family photo. :) I dressed up like a mama on purpose, hehe. My natural go-to dress when it's time for me to just play the role as parent. Hehe.
After that shy shy don't want take picture with teacher, she's ok to pose like this for daddy to take a photo. -_-
Actually, for about 2 days before concert i.e. Thursday night she was coughing a lot. We gave her ventolin on Friday and she went to LL as usual. That night, she cried and said that her throat is painful. We checked that she doesn't have ulcer and just gave her 6 ventolin puff, according to the asthma action plan. She still wanted to attend homes, so we all went, she was very good thorughout, played very quietly, did some drawing and then cutting together with Elijah.
Saturday morning, concert day, we gave 3 ventolin puffs and off we go for the concert. She was all good throughout. But after concert by noon about 1.50pm, Evelyn was around, she checked and said she was breathing fast so we gave 6 ventolin puffs again. At 4pm as advised by Evelyn, we checked her breathing, still fast at 30 per minute, so we sent her to GP, Dr Leo at SS14. The doctor said to send her to ER, gave us reference letter with no charge. So here we are again at SJMC, doing nebuliser treatment and waited a lot....
Her SpO2 was 95%, pulse bom 129. Doctor said one nebuliser treatment will be enough, prescribed some muculator and oxynase.
During the wait, she was very chirpy. Asked Joshua to take her for a walk, they bought poky at vending machine, but doctor said better stay away from chocolates that creates phlegm. So I took her out to get mamee biscuits instead. I got to teach her how to count money and showed her how to confirm that the machine provided the correct change.
She was very ok after we got back from the hospital. After dinner she did maze, the ones I printed out at office.
I was actually not feeling well myself, she was singing a lot and when she saw me unwell she quickly pretended to be the ER doctor. Said all the things the doctor said to her eg. No running, no singing, no dance, just sit around and rest ok?
That Monday, she and Jasper was rejected at LL entrance, due to ulcers in mouth. We came to Dr Liew straight and I had to apply for EL. Long wait at Dr Liew, all the way till 11am.
Both ate the breakfast bread from Jasmine's bread and non-stop playing around the playhouse.
From the check up by Dr Liew, the "ulcer" in her mouth is just the tissue of the mouth, not an ulcer. She does not have HFMD but she is still wheezing. Dr prescribed steroids and advised to give Ventolin puffs 3 puffs 3 hourly and give oxynase for 5 days only. We also made sure she get the Influenza A jab, so to keep the asthma attack away. She cried so loud and screamed "I dont want!!!!" When she saw the needle. She's never been this loud at injections... Dr Liew was a little bit annoyed and impatient. He's really a dracula. Sigh. He didn't care and just inject straight, which I believe was very painful because she was all tensed up then. After the jab, she couldn't use the right hand due to pain... and cry occassionally. I think she has been a little scarred by that incident, poor girl.So both of them stayed home with me for 2 days. She doesn't have HFMD but she could already be infected, so it's safer to keep her home too. Praise God she didn't get it at all despite playing with him everyday.
Initially I told her to try to stay away from Jasper, she immediately told Jasper "go away!!" I told her not to say that, because it will make Jasper sad. So the most I could do was make sure they sleep separately during afternoon naps. Haha.
They had a random session of jamming music with daddy.
We promised her that we will go to Dr Koe (mainly to get clearance to go back LL that they dont have HFMD anymore). She remember it as the doctor that has the small toilet. One morning she woke up and feel sad because we didn't take her to the doctor yet.
She also complained that her pok pok has been itchy and painful. :( I started to wash her more as I worry of any infections. But when we took her to Dr Koe, saw the locum Dr Florence, she checked and said everything looks fine. Phew!
She weighed 12.9kg and she has no more wheezing. Praise God!
Her drawings so far, she tried to draw steps and shark with teeth. They don't look that real but I like that she is free to imagine and I hope she never run out of ideas. :)
Here's how she arranged a set of stickers one night before bed. Looks so neat and tidy!! :) I am so proud.
One day, in the car, she said "my pen dropped!" I thought she said "my pants dropped" I said what? Your pants dropped? She replied "nothing drop....".
She also took initiative to pray for herself to be able to eat ice cream, chocolates and poky (all these things the Dr at the ER said she has to avoid until she recovers from the coughs). And also for Jasper to be healthy, happy and smiling. :) She made me follow after her as she prays. It's really sweet.
Another time she prayed for Jasper that he will not wake up from nap and cry, haha.
This is the Art & Light exhibition at One City. She got to colour a truck and had it scanned into the motion screen on the wall.
I think someone mistaken Jasper as mei mei, hahaha!
Family photo!!!
I started to teach her simple dance steps at home but she doesn't take the lessons seriously. :(
26th Nov, after Acts Kids she kept telling us that Jesus loves us. She said that she must tell people because if she tells only 1 person then only 1 person go to heaven, but if she tells everyone, then everyone goes to heaven. That night she also told Ah Yi and then comes the awkward silence between them. It was video-recorded.
28th Nov, she started to complain that her pink crocs is too tight... Looks like it's time to buy her new pair of shoes soon.
AKHP! in the car to church Joshua told her that she will be going to Lian's house after that, she was beyond excited!
Jess Chia helped to send her, as she was also sending Jerome there. I had to deal with Jasper's vommits on me...
I got a whatsapp message from Lian at around 3pm that she couldn't sleep and kept on crying. She asked me to pick her up early but I couldn't as Jasper was sleeping.
And she finally only slept at 4.30pm. She told me that she don't want to go again the next day. Complete opposite of the excitement in the morning. Haha. She said because the tv has scary things. Looks like she's so used to not having the TV switched on the whole time. :) Good!!
While we were chatting, Jasmine was less cheerful probably due to not enough rest and exhausted from AKHP. She just sat quietly playing with the mini thomas trains. When we leaving she told me she wants to take those back. I said cannot because it's not hers. She secretly kept 3 in her pants! So funny! When I ask her to take out, she took out 1, then 1 more and then 1 more.
Aunty Puah called Shin Wee and got permission for her to pick one to take home. She took the yellow one which turns out to be Flash train. She kept looking at it happily on the way home and even at home, she told me it is so cute because it is smiling. :)
AKHP closing, only Joshua attended and video-ed her dancing standing right in the middle of the stage. :) I am so impressed. She didn't do the elaborated moves but she did follow and I am so proud.
Jasper strong and big enough to push her on the swing. :)
We also went to Subang Parade, just the 2 of us going to at least 3 places to search for a pair of new sandals for her. The minnie mouse slippers is not that comfortable. We were testing out almost all possible designs and when I asked her do u like this? She always say yes, I like this, I want this. :) It's so funny. We finally found the perfect pair at Bata for RM28. It's velcro closure so it's very easy to wear, and it's bright pink with polka dots. Favourite. :) Satisfied although we were both tired. She was proud to show off her new shoes to teachers & friends the next day. Hehe.
I can see the future of us going shopping together. I really truly thank God that I have a daughter to share my shopping hobby with, hehe. :)
