Mini Milestones : Jasper's 33rd month (Jasmine 60th)

August 2018
Doing art work in their little table in living room. I try not to imagine when they will need one table each.

This is where they have their outdoor class (not really outdoor though) but only for 4yo and 5yo. Next year Jasper will get to come out here.

Sent from Sheree, this was Alycia's birthday party in LL early this month and Jasper was there! :D

Doing water painting outside is much better than doing it indoor. Using the Ikea mala colours. Jasper kept drawing on the same spot, so the thick art card that I bought during MPH clearance was a good thing for him to paint continuously and it won't create a hole.

Jasper more than happy to wipe up his own spills.
This is at VA open day. Jasper plays with Kayleb in LL and also in homes.
This is me trying to wear mother daughter outfit with Jasmine, but she was not excited at all about it. Now I feel like I've wasted my RM59. She used to be ok when I wear her skirt higher on her waist, means on the belly button but this month she kept on pulling it down, she preferred it being low cut so that the skirt will seem to be longer.
They both got a little tattoo on their hand but Jasper's one was quickly fading off because his hand is tiny and he obviously didn't care about the drying time.
Paid to take photo here with any props selected from the table.
The Rapunzel tower!
Jasper just likes to hide in the box.

During the open day, we went for a tour of the VA facilities together with Alycia  (Jasmine's classmate). When we passed the blue futsal court and came out to the main sanctuary, Alycia said "there's nothing here" but Jasmine replied "this is where I worship God" and that answered has wow-ed Jacinta who heard it! She told me about it. :)

5th August, I saw Jasper groove to the praise & worship songs in church.
This boy does a very good evil laughter, just like me, hehe!
He is also getting so good in puzzles. The popular puzzles about all things in the house, he can do it all by himself and super proud of himself.
He knows how to get my attention, everytime I get angry with him, he will say "I dont want mummy to be angry. I want mummy to be happy". He uses it like a magic sentence to reverse the effect of his misbehavior. And then Jasmine also followed the same tactic.

We are planning a mission trip to Bentong! This will be the kids' first mission trip!
This is my first attempt on her braid. Her hair gets messy so I thought tying up this way will keep most of the baby from tickling her face.
Jasmine is 15kg and 100cm.
Jasper is 13kg and 93cm.

She likes to pretend to be a bride or a queen.
Swim classes every Wednesday. Can't believe we manage to attend consistently!
And Jasper discovered badminton! Just 1 level up from the swimming pool level. He really loved it. When we go up after swim class, he showed us like he owns this place.

Rare morning where daddy drops them off, and so they get to walk this long way to go up.

Jasmine now draws love in her notes/cards.

Another braid! This one looks quite good!
It helps to give the illusion on the hair volume.
And I told her it is Elsa braid, hehe.

Our new sofa arrived! It arrived while kids are still in LL.
What we did was shifted the dark brown cabinet and the 2 seater rattan chair to next door. And then I changed out the rattan sofa's cushion covers. The 2 seater rattan chair got sold by end of August for RM330 to a malay couple.
When the kids arrive home, Jasper was so excited and ran straight to the rattan sofa that had the lion blanket. Funny how changing into light colour cushion and putting a simple animal printed blanket would appear more attractive to my 3yo.
Look at them enjoying the new sofa.
We did a movie night upstairs while they were still in their custome.
11th-12th August Bentong Mission trip!
First off, lunch at Boran.
Both kids were sleepy and Jasper was really already sleeping on my lap, Jasmine just wanted to sleep too.
We arrived! It is not that far. This is the kids room and also where we will lay out the mattress and pillows and blankets.
The weather is extremely hot during the day.
This is the main sanctuary.
I was busy unpacking or arranging the things. I set up a row of chairs to put everyone's bag. Each person one chair. Awesome right!

Then they did music workshop while the kids were doing colourings or drawing.
Jasper got to play the drums!
When we asked him just few days back what he remember from the mission trip, he said "I play the drums". :)
Then the kids started to bond and play with each other. The girl here is Rachel, the daughter of the ketua kampong.
There is pastor's kids Simon.
We then walked to the waterfall. They say it is a short walk but it's not easy to walk through the river with slippers, huge resistance while carrying a kid.
Thank God for help! Jamie, Jayvinne and Elvan helped so much!!!
Finally we arrived at the waterfall !
Family photo ;)
Then the guys move on to take off their tops and dip in the water.
We waited and the kids just watched.
Then we walk back, to start to cook dinner. On the way back, we saw Rachel again. Jasmine's new friend. :)
Bath.. only cold water available. We made Jasmine bath in the cold water and then Vijay boiled water for us, we used for Jasper. We said Jasper is so blessedddd!
Vijay cooked his signature fried meehoon to feed this many people!
Yummmss
After clean up dinner, we need to prepare for tomorrow's lunch. Cooking fried rice for the whole church! About 30-40 people. We were just chopping away.. the vege, the onions... while Joshua & Vijay chopped and marinated the chickens.
I went to put down the mattresses for the ladies and my kids.
Put them to bed. :) At night is cooling so all long sleeves.
Midnight, I got up at 3am and walked out to pee (Joshua came with me). Then I couldn't sleep... until almost 5am. It was so cold.... even the guys felt so cold but no one had the thought to switch off the fans. Haha.
These 2 kids slept so soundly throughout the night, didn't wake up for milk or water.

Morning church service. Jasmine sat with Rachel again.
Acts Kids time! Jasper decided to be playing on his own.
Group photo!

I do feel tiring about the whole trip, but this is the kids' first mission trip, it's a privilege to be able to take our kids to do mission, although this is a super comfortable one. Hehe.

Back at home. look at Jasper sleeping and waiting to hold my arm. He does this so often, not just elbow already.
One night he came over to sleep on our bed, he kept rubbing my arm until I can't sleep so I beat his hand. Of course he cried. I just have to sternly warn him to stop doing it.
The good part is sometimes like 2 nights in mid August, he skipped waking up for milk two night, he only asked for water.

This is us getting to LL in time for Teacher Chan's outdoor class at Level 4, every Monday and Friday.

Jasper playing with stickers. -_-
He likes to dance by stepping fast, Joshua say it is like break dancing.

This is us back at home early evening and I tried to get them to help with watering the plants. These days due to work I am not able to take them home so early, I really do feel lots of guilt. Sigh.
So Jasper doesn't know how to pass the water hose to Jasmine, he sprayed at her when passing to her. Quite funny.

After homes, the kids likes to hang out with Isabel and Elijah. The adults talk and catch up too! :)
Waling to our car. See the kids holding hands, so sweet!

Free baking class by Columbia Asia hospital! It's offered to those babies born in Columbia Asia KK and I replied to that email within 15 minutes, so we got the spot, yeayy!
They both look so cute in the chef attire! Haha.

Jasper was very shy at first, he didn't even want to sit on the stool so I had to sit and put him on my lap.

But after they bake the first item which is cup cake, he became very cheerful and happy. Jasmine stired the cup cake mix very well.

Cupcakes!
Decorate with icing.

They had a lunch break even for adults. We went downstairs to eat and when we came back up, we saw that the kids were already half way through their carbonara pasta. Jasper was being fed by Teacher Riana. They both sat quietly for their lunch. :)
Next is baking pizza! Jasmine loves to play with the flour.
Look at the happy face.
And serious face here.
Their pizza is done baked.
And they can take them home. :)
We packed all in the bag provided and went downstairs to take pictures and have a cake cutting to end the party.
Columbia Asia icon is a parrot. They were too afraid to take picture with the bird. -_-
Cake cutting! Jasper is so tiny among all the kids right. :)

Next we went to Jaime's house warming and appreciation lunch at their condo. There was a huge playground where the kids went crazy. Here is a group photo before some of them leave.
It was at this playground I noticed that Kara is treating Jasmine nicer again. She treated her as transparent for some months this year ever since she progressed to VA. Now thank God she is nicer to Jasmine again, phew.

When Jasmine was climbing up and down the playground monkey bar, I was sitting around but eating my food, she told me specifically, to look at her not at my food. -_-
Jasper is so funny, he told to the baking class teacher that he is 4 years old, teacher was shocked as he looked so tiny. -_-
Then at this party when Yow Fung asked him his age, he replied "4 years old" so confidently. Jasper... you are 3 !

Jasper wearing his new batman pyjamas! It was from Ah Ma.. from Lazada. She had a lazada fever where she clicked non stop, sent to me 15 items in 1 order. I returned about 70% of the things.. it was tiring to monitor one by one.
Sunday morning, Joshua went to church early because he serves at Central.
So I woke the kids up, when I woke Jasmine up she say she wants me to wake her up everyday and not daddy. Haha. If only I could get up early on weekdays!

He is afraid of rotan. Everytime I threatened that I will bring the rotan, he will resort to saying "I want mummy to be happy I dont want mummy to be angry" non stop....
This month Jasper started to make angry faces, especially when he was told No to his requests... or being scolded for doing something wrong.

Rare mornings we are early so I took the effort to take pictures of them. I used to do that quite frequent during drop off and pick up because the lighting is quite ok there but at Summit, the LL entrance has very bad lighting. And... I have been picking them up late.... like they are the LAST ONES 90% of the time. :( I hope this will improve.... I don't want Jasmine to remember being the last everyday. God help me..
Posing!

If I could take them hope early, I encouraged them to spend time out here, either eat their biscuits or water plants.

Holidays 22nd August we went to Laura's house to play in the pool !
Hello Jasper in the pink goggles, hehehe.

They prepared barbeque! We didn't join the dinner because we wanted to go to Shin Wee's house after the swim. :)
Here is a group photo, Shin Yee was back!! So precious to have dinner with the Puahs. :)

We decided to fix out alarm before SST kicks in. Our alarm was faulty for about 2 years and the original vendor suggested to us to use wireless alarm. Then I had a talk about it with our auto gate guy, he does alarm too. He does awesome follow ups about our auto gate back up batteries etc so we felt that we should use his alarm... Cut long story short. RM2k+ for a new alarm system.
They came in to check and found out the wires were not working, they cut open our plaster ceiling and found the wires being bitten by rats. They fixed them of course (Added cement over the wires so rats cannot bite again).. got the alarm up and running....
And left with a that hole. We have to decide whether to just patch it up or make a man hole for future maintenance... we decided to make a man hole but the guy to make man hole will not be available for another 3-4 days.
They nailed back the piece as temporary solution...
I taped over the plastic bag but because this is kids' room and the plaster ceiling powder would still fly out.... we let the kids sleep with us until the man hole gets constructed.

This weekend, we have a free Doctor Little Class!
Salby shared it on whatsapp group, I asked her if she was going to go, we arranged and we go together! So thankful for other young parents who doesn't mind hanging out with us.

We got there and so glad Zach Zach was also there, he went straight to carry Jasmine up few inches off ground, as he was excited to see her too. :D
There was even a clown who made fancy balloon things for the kids. Jasmine go this huge flower hairband while Jasper had a machine gun.

Ethan and Kara was there too. Ethan... treats Jasmine was transparent, it's most annoying to see that happen, sigh. I wish this will improve soon, like how things improved with Kara.
They went in for the classes, Jasper was too young to go in.
They learnt about body parts, teeth etc.

We waited and then we all went for beef noodles lunch!

On the way home, Jasper slept like this.

Sunday church, Jasper once in a while does this.

That Sunday evening, we have a meeting with Acts Young Family ministry.
After the brief meeting, we got the kids to cycle to the park.
Just 5 minutes away from Martin's house. And I found out that Jasper is really good friend with Ezra! :)

Jeje helps Jasper wear the cape. I dont know why superman cape is not popular at all? I bought the red superman cape but Jasper only wants to wear this catboy cape.

This is quite normal when both wants to sleep in our bed.

We took the kids to the biscuit shop to buy things for Jasmine's birthday party packs. As promised they both get to buy one item that they like. Jasmine picked the small crown that has jelly beans. And Jasper picked this torch light and he really like it.
Jasmine's toy we kept and said only can play after her birthday party. She saw me packing the party packs for her friends, she said she wants a party pack too.

Jasmine writing message cards to all her friends who will come for the Homes party and those that come for her official birthday party. She wrote about total 13 cards "Hi so & so, thank you for being such a good friend to me. You are awesome! Jasmine 2018 "
We split the work into a few days. At first she wrote really big, I had to ask her to write smaller. Then she wrote so small, I had to remind her to write slightly bigger. Haha.
Another of Ah Ma's order from Lazada, Elsa dress, gloves, crown and braid!
Superman t-shirt, Jasper is not really happy with it. He asked me to remove the red cape. -_-

This one here is taken at Jasmine's swim class.
Hari Malaysia day? Or Merdeka day? They wore traditional clothes to school.

My china dolls. :)

Putu mayam, Joshua bought to let them try. They are not a fan.

They start to tell stories of their own, in the car most of the time. Jasmine's stories had "lord lord!" kind of prayers in it.
Jasper also told his stories, "Once upon a time there is a super wing come to help the lion. 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed, one fell off and bump his head. They call super wings to come and no more monkey jumping on the bed. The end."

30th August, midnight Jasper came over to our bed again and asked for milk. It was dark I couldn't see clearly but I know he was holding something after he drank milk. I asked him what is that, he said confidently "GUN!" It was really his toy nerf gun and Jasmine's heart of teffiti necklace tied to it.
In the morning I asked him why did he bring over, he just smiled broadly.

31st August, we went to the Acts Church Camp and for the games (1st agenda of the camp), we dressed the kids as Ninja Turtles!!!!
Combined efforts! John Lim our team leader did the aluminium baking trays sprayed with green paint. Then I bought green cloth and cut them up. Also I brought the orange ribbons and selofan tape to make the logo when we were there.
Group photo!
Family photo!

They got tired from the game... I should mention that they never did much. One game I had to keep carrying Jasper to and fro to squeeze a sponge full of water into a mineral water bottle. We did more work but look who's complaining?
Then this girl... She pooped into her pantssssssss at the second last game. I had to wash the poop off her panty and pants, squeeze the water out and let her wear back. She stinked but no choice!
This is when games were over, we were waiting for room key and I let them sit on luggage back an eat some snacks.
They didn't want to nap so we went out to the water park.

This is at night during the sermon.
And then in the room.
We 3 sleep on the combined twin bed while Joshua sleeps on air mattress outside in the living room.

We share room with Wee Liem & Sharon, and the kids got to play with Isaac!
They enjoy playing with Isaac and his toy cars! :) :)

At the end of the camp, we won the Most Creative awards! Because of the ninja turtle kids!! Hahaha. Yeay!! Great experience for the kids. :) I am proud of them.

We drove back to Muar right after the camp where Jasmine's birthday celebration officially begins!
(Acts Kids also celebrated her birthday during camp, not bad!!)
We got the idea of wearing the rainbow dress which is too short now as inner skirt to make any of her midi dress, maxi! She loved the idea.
She asked Ah Ma for a veil and here she is rocking it out.
I was busy clearing stuffs, looking for things to sell , throw or donate at the back. Haha.

There goes August and we are in the 1st or 2nd of September, up and coming would be Jasmine's birthday party!
