Mini Milestones : Jasper's 52nd month (Jasmine 79th)

We promised the kids before to let them spend their pocket money riding this self-drive car at Summit. Reluctantly we went but the man was very unhelpful that day, he gave a very small and slow car to Jasmine, but a faster one to Jasper. We complained and he said this is normal speed. Jasmine was very unhappy of course, after spending precious RM5 from her pocket money. So I told her, lets not come back again. We have better experience riding the cars at Muar Tanjung, much bigger cars with various designs & themes. She agreed.

The red motorbike was faster and was Jasper's. We tried to convince him to let Jasmine try, but after a while he will want it back. 

I had too many times of argument with Jasper especially when he refused to wear the mustard pants. So I told them this rules, everyday they can choose anything they like to wear, except for Sundays. I will decide what they wear for church service. It worked, he is wearing the mustard pants that he dislike. 

I asked him why he dislike he said because it has many lines. -_-

He also somplained tail is tickling his back so I clipped it up. I am not ready to cut it away.... it is too precious to me. 

First diabolo class. I made a surprise visit when they end the formal schooling, I saw her straight face walked out to the daycare teacher. Got the lunch bag and was walking in, I went to say hi. I said lets go in, but the teacher guarding the entrance didn't let me in at all. I told her lets meet at the canteen. So she went in first. 

Took me very long to finally get in. I had to wait for a parent to come out from the magnetic door and took that opportunity to sneak in! And then I spend good 5-10 minutes going round the canteen to look for Jasmine. Finally found her crying and some teachers trying to assist her.
We sat down and I told her to start eating. And I said I will go and get yakult. I was only away for a short while, when I return she was crying again. -_-

She couldn't finish her lunch. The place was crowded and noisy. I told her next time just find a corner sit down eat and go. No need to bother about other people. 

We walked to the basketball court to join the class. She cried again because I was going to go. I told her I will sit down. The teacher in charge came and told me I cannot be around, I apologised and said let me just stay till they are done with attendance taking. The discipline teacher who recognised me asked me how did I make it back in (he rejected me earlier on), I told him someone exited and I just entered. Oops. So I left.. and yeap just hoping Jasmine will be fine. The teacher whatsapp me that she was happy when she's trying the diabolo tricks. 

This is Teacher Lim, she said Jasmine is such a good girl.

I found out from Jasmine that Teacher Kew pulled her ear once when she was guiding her on homework. I was angry and decided to approach Angeline about this, and same time I was looking out for other alternatives! I told Jasmine lets visit Pusat Inspirasi when I come to pick you from Brainchild, but that day I already visited as I arrived earlier for the diabolo class visit. So when I was talking to Angeline Jasmine said "Yes! Inspirasi!" Angeline was like "hhmm??" I quickly brushed it off!

I told Angeline please help us by re-arranging Jasmine to another teacher. I think Kew doesn't have patience for her. She said it's hard but she will try to see what can be done. After that I got in the car.. Teacher Kew came to apologise to me. -_- I told Angeline to keep this between us but she immediately went to tell Kew, sigh. Anyway, I hope this means she won't pull her ear again la. Just a day before the school holiday, I asked Angeline, after school holiday can let Jasmine join another teacher's group? She said ok will arrange. Yes!!!

When we reach home, Jasmine was excited to show us her diabolo tricks.
Jasper dress up for Oscar Awards at Summer Academy. It was hard to convince him to wear again this indian outfit. 

But if we don't wear now he will outgrew soon before we could realise.

I think he received some best dress award, hehe. 

Sunday, Jasper woke up and saw that daddy was getting ready for church service, to arrive at 6.30am. He asked "daddy where you going?" "Church." 

"You go to church at night?" (Because it is still dark outside)

Joshua laughed and said it is morning now. :) 

This is him later that afternoon napping with apron on.

We try to do art and craft.. I wonder why we could do this more frequent last year? So I must catch up. 

Science experiment with Ah Yi. They soak egg in vinegar water and waiting for it to turn rubbery. 

They did observed it day after day until the egg shell layer was gone. Then we took out to touch, I had only walked away for a short while, they have broke the egg. It was messy and smelly. We later on tried the same experiment on chicken bone, it became soft too. 

This is my new Philips hair dryer. :) 

2nd diabolo class. I asked Joshua to go over and at the same time submit Jasper's document to register for standard 1. He went at 1pm only realised he can only enter at 2pm. So he wasn't able to see Jasper until 2pm.. again she cried when sees him. 

He was not allowed to watch too except for outside by the fence. 

Teacher took her to the fence because he said she kept looking that direction. She did quite some great attempts. 

We agreed, no more visiting for after school classes, she needs to learn to be independent. 

Received flower girl dress and flower wreath. I picked these and Tiffany paid. For Joshua there's a white collar shirt, yellow bow tie and a pair of brown shoes. All have arrived but unable to deliver to us due to the MCO. 

Reading at MPH.

Some mornings when I sending Jasper, I will over-shot and missed the left turn. -_-

Jasmine was given a chance to share testimony about her finger injury on stage at Prayer Service. We drafted the testimony and let her read out few times at home. She was ready! But when on stage, she  chickened out and Joshua had to read the whole thing on her behalf. Hai yooo...

Another cycling at the park with daddy only.

I think she fell down and hurt her knee, came home crying. So I decided to order cycling knee and elbow pads for them. 

Science experiment with daddy on Saturday, using corn starch. If you grab it will become pepejal, if you let loose it will turn into cecair. 

Jasmine said she did this experiment in Acts Kids before with Teacher Deborah. If you keep on sharing the gospel is like when you grab the starch, it will become solid. But if you stop then it will flow away like liquid. 

Reminded her to practice her diabolo skills. She complained that the space in the house is too narrow for her practices. 

Sunday breakfast with Ron.

Nap time. 

Announced on 16th March that we will have a 2 weeks lock down starting from 18th March
Long queue of people stocking up food before the lockdown.

Lock down, they do their homework next to me while I try to work. 

Only practice diabolo once. Let her do it outside and she complained hot. 

Set up the pool and left it out for almost a week until we realise the rusty tank cover left brown marks under our pool. 

We eat every meal together. Pei Xuan told me not to stress out about work, all that things will eventually come. Now cherish family time together and create good memories. She is so full of wisdoms. 

We facetime with Muar sometimes over breakfast. 

Our arrangement upstairs. My area is the warmest of all. But no choice, no other placec!

Play water. Just wish we can let them do things like this more without supervisions. 

Pool again. 

Once Jasper played rough and push Jasmine's head into water causing water to be stuck in her ear. She was very worried at first, then I told her to calm down and wait while I bath Jasper. Then I bathed her and was going to check on the water, she said no more. She had felt for the first time the hot water bubble broke in her ear while waiting. Happened even before I told her to skip skip. :)

Daddy also dipped in the pool.

First weekend of MCO, we washed Serena together. Wash and polish. 

It was a very big car so it is tiring to wash but Jasper was very helpful.

Jasmine tried but it's not her cup of tea. 

Jasper had his t-shirt all wet and he's very glad to do it. 

Jasmine had given up early and decided to relax in the living room. Hahaha. 

One night it was too hot and our room air con had broke, Joshua couldn't stand it and decided to switch places with Jasmine. He took her to our room to sleep on the ikea lounge and he slept on her bed. 

Another time is on Wednesday when he needed to do BNI zoom calls in the room, Jasper already gone over to our bed and he just shifted Jasmine. 

26 March, Jasmine started to ask me why did daddy move me to the room? I said because daddy need to use the room and another time daddy felt too hot. She was not happy "but daddy didn't ask for permission? so rudeeee..." haha, so Joshua told her he will ask next time. :D

Bought light sabre but it broke so fast. RM11 each.

After 10 days of MCO, wrote letters to Eli and Isabel. 

Because Jasmine said she misses Isabel a lot.

Badminton time. Jasper showing great improvements.

Went out to pick up the shuttle cocks. And Jasmine felt the freedom of being out of the house, she ran quite far. 

Tried to do an art project assigned by Lick Hung teacher, it was so hot and the art project was so messy, I got so fed up with it. We simply do it. 

Homework time after dinner at the plastic table in living room. Jasmine's work were assigned via whatsapp while Jasper's via google classroom. 

The BM teacher gave so much work I decided maybe we dont have to do 100%, out of 10 maybe just 7 or 8. 

We got a good feel of Jasper's academic level.. and start to be more involved in teaching him. While we all feel stressed about it, I think it's also a privilege. 

Sunday service online. 

Bought the cycling pads. Before we had time to look at the package the kids already opened everything and pull out some strings from a helmet which they were not supposed to. So Jasper's helmet is not able to be fixed... Wasted. 

Karate kid project by Summer Academy. We let them watch the Karate kid, good for us to have peace and quiet though there's a guilt of them having too much screen time. 

We play charades (Jasmine's idea) after dinner in the first week of MCO, first day Jasper didn't participate but after observing, he could participate the next day. All the things to act were written by Jasmine. First day because Jasmine didn't write enough Joshua used the app, Jasmine was able to act Skunk, like smelly smelly and we guessed it right. I asked her how did she know about skunk? She said she learn it from Blippi. Wah.
Day 2 charade Jasper was able to act tree, fighter, lion and pen. Haha. Very cute! Wish we have pictures or videos of it !!!
Jasmine acted astronaut. Hehe.
Following week we play monopoly junior after dinner. First day Jasmine won big! She was so happy. Second day she started losing and cry. We got fed up and stopped playing. Third day she agreed not to cry and ended up winning big. It's a long game and we often played till we just declare done. Maybe not a good game to play at night. We also tried playing black jack, but it seems the kids prefers monopoly. Although Jasper was bored and started to tickle Ah Yi's bum bum. Hahahaha. 

MCO further extended twice till 28th April, we are not sure whether it will further extend again. We really need a good routine, hopefully we get something good going in the coming weeks with more activities for the kids. Some days I get so stressed with work that I only come down to eat lunch, thankfully Joshua cooks without complaining. One day I come down and saw the kids eating. Jasper just looked at me and then point to the star of the dish "tofu with mince pork" and said "Today this." :) He's so cute to report that today we eat this. It was heart warming to me that we are doing this together as a family.
We realised that Jasper is a super good story teller or narrator compared to Jasmine. When he tries to explain what happened, he did it so well, like precise with facts and we could understand completely. Unlike Jasmine the way she communicates is a bit cloudy or floaty sometimes and I had to guess my way through. It's funny to see how they both have different kind of thoughts process and even the communication skills!
