Anne told me that this boy (one of our church member's housemate) has met a car accident and died on the spot. 8 passengers, 5 killed. It's tragic. We discussed a bit and I was in a rush to get to work.
When I reached office, Anne sent me an sms, asked whether I know Joy.. apparently this family has a sister of my age, and they're from Muar !
It's Joy. Of course I know her. Oh God. I went to The Star.. and saw the photo. Oh dear God.
The father was my Kimia tuition teacher. The mother was my English tuition teacher. Both very nice people, very nice teachers... I've not personally met the sisters and brothers but I do know that they've been in the house.. when we were having tuition classes in their living room.
Joy is now in UK. I wonder how she is taking it. She definitely is on her way home. Her mum, sister and brother are still being treated in the hospital in Kuantan.
I thank God that the family are believers, and that they're with the Lord now.
But, the reckless truck driver only suffered MINOR INJURIES??!!
How many of such accident has to happen enough to alert the drivers out there, to drive carefully?? To be considerate of the cars and pedestrians on street??
God, help our generation, help our nation.. help us.. help the family that has to stay strong and carry on with their lives..
