18 June 2011 (Saturday) - 8am pre-marriage counselling with Elder Shirley & Elder Kien Yiak at Canai. Final session. Mum and brother arrived at 10.15am. We drove in 2 separate cars to Faranheit to meet mum's tailor and her friend. 2 objectives = mum & Anne to fit their dresses + pass wedding invitation cards to the tailor Aunty Janet and mum's friend Aunty Wee Ming. Mum's 2 dresses can be collected but Anne's still needs further alterations. We're quite disappointed with the work this round. :S
Brother snapped this photo when mum put on her cheong sam. :D Lilac & pink cheong sam, she's going to wear this to walk me down the aisle! Noticed our nose very different shape. :P
Anyway after lunch, Anne and I rushed back home to get ready for my BRIDAL SHOWER ! :D Went to Shin Wee's house at 4pm, supposed to start at 3pm but we had an eye liner accident in the house earlier. :( Anyway, bridal shower = games + photos + food, was over by 7pm. The part I enjoyed the most is eating with my girl friends at the tables and chit chatting. :)
We had polaroid photos. :D Pardon me as I use my not-so-good digital camera to take photos of the polaroid photos, it's unclear. I shall share more photos and stories next time. :P Photos still with professional photographer Wong Jin Rou. :D
This is Jade! She did a very cool flag decor that says MRS JOAN CHIAM (shown in picture above), and also tied up some kitchen utensils with a flower bouquet, very unique! :D
This is Ah Puah! She opened up her house to host my bridal shower and she decorated her living room with balloons (blowed by Jack) and paper rosetta as seen in these pictures. :D
This is Huey Yi! :D So glad she came! She bought ice cream. Hehe. On her way, she got into a minor accident, the other car was at fault and but did not compensate her. :( It's ok, we know God sees it all. Best thing is she still came!!
This is Allison! She bought us some sushis from Sakae Sushi. :D I love to eat sushi yummm yummmm.......
This is Jin aka Jin Rou! So honored to have her at my bridal shower.. although she dont know anyoneee except for myself and Anne. :D She helped us take photos which I feel so privileged, she's a free lance photographer, don't play play.. hahaha.. thank youuuu!
This is Kamini! She was in charge of foood... and she did so well! She brought with her in a case 4 bottles of cold water, just in case Shin Wee's house have insufficient ice. @.@ Such effort!
This is my sister and also my Maid-Of-Honor Anne! She tried to show off her large nostrils too but we know no one can beat me. ;) The picture just doesn't do justice. She is overall the planner of the bridal shower. :D
This is Elder Rose! :D She had to skip an important Acts Kids event to be at my bridal shower.. and also she's just pregnant with 2nd kid, so glad she still came! All the way from OUG!

After bridal shower, went back to have bak ku teh dinner with mum & brother. We then went to Subang Parade, mum bought proper bras to go with her tailored dresses. :D Anne managed to buy a black formal tulip dress from Blook. We got home at around..9.30pm? Joshua came to fetch me to Shin Wee's house again, to pass Shin Wee the wedding invites & tea ceremony pack. :D I only managed to rest.. at 1am.. being so physically exhausted.. can you imagine I couldn't sleep?? -_- I struggled until 3.30am, mum got up to make drinks, woke both Anne up too. We talked a bit at the dining table and went back to sleep again at 5am. I think.. I slept at 6am? But had to get up by 8am to get ready for church..... @.@
19 June 2011 (Sunday) - Had breakfast with mum & brother at 9.30am. Bid goodbye and they returned to Muar, I went to church. Joshua bought me chicken essense. Although I dislike the taste, I knew I needed it so I drank it without hesitation. After church service, Jade, Joshua and I met with our wedding dinner PCs Jason Khong and Samuel Siew and MC Daisy Han, to go through the wedding programs. :) Thank God for experienced and ever-helpful friends.. :) :) Jason and Samuel kept on assuring us that they will help us to take care of the night programs and we need not worry at all. :) After cleaning up at Actspresso, I went back home straight! Steamed a bak zhang Shin Wee gave me on Saturday, ate (btw, so YUMMMYYY), and slept on the couch.. thank God for the good 2 hours of sleep.
At 6pm Joshua came to pick me up, we went back to church. Pastor Sandra and Rose wanted to meet me personally to prepare me for the marriage. We started our session at 6.30pm, Pastor Sandra counselled me about letting go of my daddy, stop mourning and start living my life according to God's will. Also, to learn to let go of mummy, surrender her to God, never stop praying for her salvations and grabbing every opportunities that I can share Christ to her... They let me cry.. and I cried until it was hard to even utter a proper sentence.. they prayed for me, they encouraged me to pray as well. God is good. :) After we ended the session at 8pm, although my eyes were red, swollen and watery.. my spirit was relieved.. enlightened. :)
Joshua was at ACE hardware the whole time while waiting for me. He screened through every lane and every shelf. He bought his 1st hammer and some other household stuffs. :D We went for dinner at Taipan and met with a bunch of Acts friends to celebrate birthday of our Home Leader Joy at Baskin Robbins. It was good fellowship! :D Ended the night at 11.30pm.. and I went to sleep knowing that I need to take MC the next day. :P
20 June 2011 (Monday) - I made sure I had enough rest and sleep.. and only got up at 9.30am. I had a bit of headache though. :S Dropped of Joshua's white shirt & vest to the dry cleaners. Went to the clinic to get some multivits and medicine to help me sleep if I ever lose sleep again. Sent Joshua's wedding shoes for repair and polishing at Subang Parade. Went for a 2 hour facial at Bluunis. Dinner with Anne & Joshua. Went to Jade's house to do table arrangement together until... 11.30pm. Table arrangement is really tough! :S
21 June 2011 (Tuesday) - Did more table arrangement during free time in office.. met with Joshua's tailor in Summit before prayer service, the tailor forgot to prepare the handkerchief for Joshua's wedding suit. :( Got to go back again on Thursday. Anyway after prayer service, after a Homes meeting, we met with our morning ceremony PCs to go through the programs. :) It was a relief that PCs now know what's going to happen. :D Thank you Jesus! Got home at 12am, did a bit of laundry and slept at 1am.
22 June 2011 (Wednesday) - Polished our rings at Subang Parade. We misplaced our receipt so they couldn't do the proper polishing, can only do the basic one.. :( God, tell me where is the receipt please! Anyway after dinner we finalised on the scriptured to be read at our wedding ceremony, we selected NKJV version Ecc 3:1-14. We also prepared some slides on Joshua's macbook for our wedding, the pre-wedding photos slideshow, photo montage and background music. We also tested out the bridal march-in & march-out song. Edited the march-in song to suit the bridal march and I recorded down which part the song who walks in, when will I reach half way etc. :D It's exciting! By the time we finish.. 12am...
23 June 2011 (Thursday) - Sent photos of our chapel and bridal march-in song to our morning PCs. Went to pyramid with Anne for a bit of wedding shopping. She managed to buy a bracelet to wear on my wedding day. Joshua had worship practice so he was in Summit, went to get the handkerchief from the tailor, finally got it! He passed to me at about 12.30am when he passed by my house on his way to meet friends. I did some handwashing until about 1am... and zzzzzzzzzzz.......
24 June 2011 (Friday) - We're watching X-men tonight with Ronson and some other church friends. :) Counting down to the movie time.... hahahaha.... have a good weekend everyone! :D
