2012 #2 - Wearing my mum's clothes :)

A long dreamy skirt which I remember mum buying from a shop in Wetex Parade. I remember back in those days, late 90s, this skirt cost more than RM60, it's expensive! Whenever I saw my mum wear it, I admire... she matches this skirt with white blouses. I've pulled this skirt out from her wardrobe few times during my early teenage years, about 13 to 16, posed with it in front of mirror, trying to see if I can maybe wear to some school formal functions. Hahahaha... I did wore one of her long skirts to Installation Night during Form 5 but not this one. ;)

Finally, I wore it when I was in Bangkok! I realised it is not so suited for formal occassion, maybe in the 90s, but now I love to wear it as part of my casual and lazy outfit. :D

Wish I have a picture taken with me standing. The skirt is very long, almost touching my toes. After hand washing and drying, I realised it has shrunk a little, the lining now seemed longer, oops, I gotta sew the lining to be shorter now. :P

This skirt came into her wardrobe much later. Her tailor made it. It's very good cotton fabric and beautiful flower prints. Strange, mum didn't quite like this skirt, she rarely put it to use. It was very loose for me. During my audit days in 2006-2008, I wore this skirt to work despite it being loose. It of course didn't look nice soon I neglected it too. Recently I sent for alteration. Now it fits me just nice!

Light and easy on busy weekend. :) I prefer it as my weekend wear!

Wore this when Joshua and I went to a shop at Jalan 222 to look for suitable toilet bowls and sinks for our new home. We sat on toilet bowls to choose the one we like, must make sure it's one that we can pang sai on, hahahahaahah!

I wore this to work. :) I was challenged at work not to wear black all the time. Well, how about green + cream then? I know, dark green that's so close to black, cheating.. hahahaha.. Anyway, that's my mum's skirt. She never wear it because she thinks the colour doesn't match her skin colour. She didn't choose this fabric, it was a present from her best friend Wee Ming and so she was stuck with this skirt but I relieved her by making it mine now. :D

It's quite challenging to pull off this skirt. I tried once wearing to church with a black top tucked in, was thinking if anyone would think I look like a grandmother. Thank God a girl told me it's nice, she thought I was wearing a dress. Haha.

Cardigan was from Bangkok. Labelled as Zara, I thought wowwww RM24 for a Zara cardigan?? After wearing once, I noticed some holes due to stretch. Chehh... 一分钱一分货啦...haha..
