The Chiams need your prayers :)

Hellos! Can't believe March is already here and I have so much I have yet to write in my bloggg...

Have no idea why my dress look like some spiral design in this photo.. @.@ it's just a simple black and white striped dress I bought in Bangkok for RM18! :D Yes I wore it the 1st weekend I came back from Bangkok. :D That includes that bag. ;)

Anyway, Joshua and I are in a challenging season... keep us in prayers whenever you remember us. :) Thanks. :)

1st, we're so busy about our future home. I had an impatient conversation with my mum about my brother's delay in asking the current tenant to move out. I was very dissatisfied that the delay could be causing my house renovation works to delay too. At that time, sorry I forgot to bear fruit of the Holy Spirit - patience. Anyway, he finally did, called and issued formal letter to inform the tenant that we are taking back the house. Tenant was extra nice, they're moving out end of March. So that's my deadline. By end of March, I need to get most things ready so contractors can start their work.

We met with the concrete & piping works contractor on 12th Feb. He is the partner of my cousin brother's friend. In short friend's friend. He came to measure and we talked about what we intend to do etc, he said he will give us a quotation. We had difficulty getting his email address to send him scanned copy of floor plan, we tried calling him but didn't pick up for 2 days. What kind of business is he doing? Doesn't pick up and return calls! After 2 more days, he sms me back with just his email address, no "Hi" no "sorry late reply" nothing. Then, 2 weeks has passed and we see no quotation yet. We had to go back to our cousin, so our cousin called his friend to find out the quotation was ready but no idea why not sent to us. :S We are worried!!

We went to Houz Depot at Mutiara Damansara, Han Lin shop at Jalan 222 to look for cheap and good toilet bowls, sink and shower. They are all so expensive @.@ RM800 for rain shower of Sorento brand. RM580 for a toilet bowl Orin brand. Gulp. We are still trying to look around and see if there're cheaper options. One month only has 4 weekends, we really don't have much time left.

Another crucial part is to decide which floor tiles to use for living room, kitchen, staircase and toilet. Also, to determine materials and colours for kitchen and kitchen cabinets. All these takes time, as we need to visit different shops, talk to different experts... and we're so new in house renovation. Hmph! Not to forget decision on how the front of the house should look like, back of the house, where to keep small flower bed, where to build platform for washer etc.. every decision is crucial and is detailed to every corner and square feet of the house....

Alright, house renovation aside, I was busy finalising the accounts for my mum's firm. The biggest chunk is finally over. Left a small one I have to complete before end of March. At the same time, I am busy designing our wedding photobook. It's more than 80 pages and I have to select pictures from over 1000 pictures so really takes time. It'll be due on 15th March. My brother's wedding dinner is happening on 31st March. I took some time to shop around for a nice dress to wear at the dinner. Finally found one in Bangsar mydressroom for RM270. They took more than 1 week to alter it shorter to suit my height and finally Joshua helped me to collect it 2 weeks ago. Phew. Thank God.

Joshua also has been running about, going to MPSJ before work, enquiring about house renovation permit. We are learning to apply for the permit ourselves so that we do not have to go through contractor who will mark up the price. Going through forms that we need to fill up, drawings we need from architect etc.. wah.. new thing for both of us! We asked Shwu Chyi my primary school best friend for help because she works in an architect firm. Then my cousin called and explained the MPSJ officer can actually help us to draw and will be cheaper and we can get the permit faster that way. So we're probably going for the 2nd option - cheaper and faster. Pray that we can get the permit before end of March! :)

Last month, Joshua and I also had to spend 2 days to just edit wedding video for Daniel and Jade. We try not to keep these as backlogs. Shoot, edit, upload, burn, pass DVD to couple, close case. Whether we get ang pow from them, leave it to God. :) Praise God, Joshua had the opportunity to work with Stories, as one of their videographers for weddings and corporate events. But before that, he had to do two free jobs for them, so that made him even busier in February. Now he's finally getting paid, although a small fee, but it's definitely something. We thank God for that. Also pray that Joshua can have more free lance corporate video projects coming in, to ease us of the financial burden esp for the upcoming house renovation.

Above all these, there're so many things happening in church... church has moreeee and moreeeee events each year... Other than morning to evening on Sundays, occassional Saturdays, it also takes up almost half of the weekday nights we have... not just that, we have house warming parties to attend, visiting friend who just delivered baby, birthday surprise (no idea why is such a big deal because every year you celebrate birthday right??? @.@) and the normal stuffs - send car for wash & services, housework etc etc..

Joshua has fallen a little ill lately. Ulcer in his mouth, muscle pain on his chest and recent checkup shown that his blood pressure is on the high side. He needs to lose 10kg. I thank God other than feeling tired not having sufficient rest, I did not fall sick. :) But help us pray that Joshua will be healed and that we both can stay healthy and strong yah.. :)

Alright, I should stop here.. I've rambled quite a lot. If you've read up to here, I have to say sorry if you felt that I just blahhh-ed non-stop! :) You're the best!
