Week 32 Start 7th-13th October
Week 33 Start 14th-20th October
On the 7th October, I felt weak in office right after breakfast. I had 2 pieces of Gardenia choco raisin bread, a cup of coffee and a bit of spicy mee hoon cooked by colleague... I felt dizzy, nauseous, bloated... but I insisted not to take mc because I need to go to Empire's CIMB bank branch to open a CDS account during lunch hour (in order to provide to HR for my shares grant end of the year). I made numerous calls and finally gotten hold of a reminsier. So I drove to Empire in a dizzy state, found a parking, walked up to Ground floor and met the lady Pei Yong. She took me to her office to fill up some forms. She asked whether to take me out for lunch, I said no.. because I need to rest. I am not feeling well. She looked worried. Whatever she tried to explain to me never get registered in my head. I only wanted my CDS account number. So after we're done, I felt even worse then before.. I went back to get my car and drove home straight to SLEEEP! I got home at around 1pm and slept till 2pm. Then I got back in my car, went to McD drive thru and bought myself a set of nuggets lunch. I ate while I drove to office. Reached office at 2.30pm... although the coke helped me to burp out some gas.... I still feel bloated and really know that something was wrong with me. I waited till 5.30pm, an annoying manager came to ask me some work stuffs, I finally left office at 6pm... to Lian's house. When I reach, I couldn't even remain standing at her door, I need to go back inside to sit and rest. Lian offered to make me some drinks, I said is ok, I just need to go home to rest. Sitting in the car is not that bad, standing was. I finally got home.. but Joshua was out to buy dinner. I had to forced myself to find strength to carry Jasmine out from the car seat. I put her down in the house, she insisted to come back out to water the plant. -_- So we went to water the plant and that's when Joshua came back home with dinner. I tried to eat the pan mee soup but had to stop few times to rest... I ate less than half and had to go upstairs to rest... Before I go upstairs, we called Dr Rama to ask whether we can see him the next morning or should I admit myself into the hospital. I was feeling that weak... anyway doctor said to see him in morning. I requested for a hot water bag to place on my tummy which helped me feel so much better. I also used a lot of pillows to elevate my upper body. This was suggested by online article. I also found out I ate wrong food - coffee, chocolate, spicy food, fried, processed food are all not recommended at this stage of pregnancy! Joshua went out to buy Actal for me, I had 1 tablet and slept... I felt cold and hot at the same time.. it's the annoying feeling that I feel cold but I was sweating. Anyway after few hours of sleep, I got up feeling much better. I could spend some time with Jasmine before I continue my sleep. At 2am.. I woke up due to PAIN!! Muscle pain all over my body, from my head, ear, neck down my spine. My shoulder, hands and legs too! I couldn't sleep due to the pain! I had to wake Joshua up to apply counterpain for me. That didn't help at all. I kick away all the pillows and still didn't help. Jasmine woke up at 3am crying... I had to ask Joshua to help me rock her back to sleep... while I tried sleeping on the chair, still didn't work. I went to lie down on the mattress in masterbedroom, it was better but I still could hardly sleep! Was so so so so tired but I just couldn't sleep because of the pain & discomfort. I believe I only sleep like an hour the whole night....... I thought to myself, whether these are contractions? I have never really had contractions so I dont know what to expect, and at such sleep deprived stage I am thinking all kinds of dramas in my head.
Needless to say, I have to take MC on 8th October. Joshua has to take EL. After dropping Jasmine to Lian's house. We went straight to the hospital. On the way to hospital I even felt cramps on my bump. I was so fearful that I was going into labour!! We had breakfast at the cafeteria, I ate plain porridge. And doctor finally saw me at 12pm! Baby Jasper is doing fine in the scans so doctor said I am having indigestion. He prescribed me medicines worth RM130!! We went back home, after lunch, I took the medicine and went to sleep. I sleep till about 4pm... felt so much better finally. Thank God Joshua was willing to take EL.
I was home on 9th October to rest again. Just to ensure am fully recovered. In the morning Lian followed her son to go to the SS15 market, so I picked her up near Silva before driving to her house. Uncle Bala saw me and wanted me to stay back for breakfast but I declined. I have to just eat plain... I can't eat roti canai. I was quite determined to eat plain wholemeal bread for the rest of my pregnancy but once I'm feeling better, I scrapped that idea haha.
10th October, not fully recovered but still forced to wake up early to bring Jasmine for her 2 yo jabs at Dr. Koe. Dr Koe told us about the golden hour, which is the hour after Jasper was born. She encouraged me to request for at least 30 minutes of bonding time with Jasper, skin to skin, right after he was born. Just put him on me and see how he will find his way to my breast for milk. :) She said it's a magical moment and encouraged me not to miss it. I personally don't find it practical at all - (1)it will be so cold in air con room (2)I remember feeling weak and cold even with blankets on (3)I dont like the idea of being naked for 30 minutes and handling a newborn baby on my chest....... it may not be my thing... I dont know.... we shall see.
After that we went to Court 10 to fill up authorisation form to get Zaki to paint our Court 10 unit. We were renting out to a company for 6 months for their workers to stay during a short work contract. Was required to buy them table & chairs on top of painting the unit. A lot of our time were spent on getting the unit ready, met the tenants to collect deposit on Monday night i.e. 12th October. We managed to buy table from Preloved for RM80 and 4 chairs from another Preloved member for RM72. Both are ikea products. I think this is way better than us buying a dining table set from furniture shop.
Public holiday 14th October was a lonnng day for us, after dim sum breakfast and COD the table at 9am, we went over to Court 10 at 11am to set up the table while our worker complete the painting that he missed out. Just as we were going to finish, Joshua realised one of the table legs was wrong. I had to contact back the seller and she drove from Sunway to give us the correct leg (she has 2 same tables).
We waited a long time in the unit, about 20 minutes. Just before the seller arrive, I told Joshua to go to the car and give me Jasmine's diaper bag because I think Jasmine is thirsty and hungry already. After he left and I locked the door, there's an old limping chinese aunty who appears to be our neighbour came out from her unit and started to speak to me over the grilled door. She guessed that I am carrying a boy. Telling me the other unit which is furnished are renting out at more than RM1200 a month. Then Joshua came to pass me the diaper bag, I had to unlock the door to receive the bag. And I felt shy to lock the door again because aunty was still talking to me. And Jasmine took the lock and play with it in the living room. Aunty suddenly went back to her unit and came out with a knife!!! 菜刀!! I was shocked!! I asked her in Cantonese "Aunty, why you take out a knife?" while holding the grill door close !!! I regret not locking the door, I asked Jasmine to pass me the lock and she did. Aunty saw that I was frightened, she explained she was going down to cut some leaves. I couldn't care at all, I just kept on trying to lock the door. After I lock the first time I realised I only hooked to one hole, which meant I technically didn't lock at all. By now aunty already went into the lift... I quickly unlock and lock again, cursing the door to be in a weird position, hard to hook the lock properly... and also thinking.... "if aunty really had bad intention, I am already cut into pieces by her and she would've gotten away with Jasmine" .... moral of the story, no matter how shy or embarassing, always LOCK the door!!

I told them the story and they had a good laugh. :) Thank God for the interesting stuffs he add to our life, giving us story to tell until we're old.. I told Joshua I will never forget this funny yet scary incident. Haha.
Drama didn't stop there. 14th October, 2am... we were both awaken by loud noises coming from attic. Suspect to be a musang in our attic. This is not the first time but I was very disturbed by it because I only justtttt about to fall asleep! The musang was like doing circus show in our attic running from one corner to the other. I was worried about damages it will do to our attic up there. Joshua suggested that I move to sleep in Anne's room so I went... and woke up at 6.30am as usual. I was surviving on 4 hours of sleep.. and had a big meeting at 9am. @.@ That night, after dinner I went straight into Anne's room to catch up on sleep & rest. At this stage of pregnancy, I can't afford to not sleep enough! Then at about 10pm, Joshua told me he felt he was falling sick..... so I helped to put Jasmine to sleep....
It's true... during the night I saw Joshua wake up which almost never happens. He said he woke up to take panadol.. because he felt flu & fever coming.... but he had an important meeting the next day so he can't afford to take MC. He lasted until 4pm and was already having high fever so he came home straight. I picked up Jasmine from Lian's house, picked him up from the house at almost 7pm and took him to the clinic. I bathed Jasmine that night (haven't bath her for a long long time) and put her to sleep. Sigh, when the giant is down with flu & fever, I have to take over these tasks although I sometimes feel I'm too big to do so much of bending down, sit down on floor & stand up etc... In middle of the night, when I checked on Jasmine, I had to check on the giant too. Gave him his panadol at about 1.30am then I went back to sleep.
17th October, with the giant still recovering from cough & flu, we arranged for a second hand washing machine vendor to send a sanyo 5.5kg machine over to court 10.
Model is ASW F55T, about 7 years old, RM250 with 3 months warranty. I was telling Joshua, we always have long list of things to do over the weekends...wonder why we are always busy, he said he prefers us to be busy than to rot at home. Haha. I agree as well.. :) Jasmine is a sweet angel following us around without complains. She had her lunch in front of the Court 10 pool. Told Joshua once the haze is over, I want to plan a swimming outing with church friends where she can enjoy to the maximum!! :)
Over the weekend, especially when Joshua is also still recovering from cough, I try to do more housechores like washing clothes, dishes etc.. I felt my legs and hips so sore after those chores. I always try to sit down to rest, putting my legs up on the stool. Jasmine saw and tried to imitate. :)
On 18th October Sunday, I finally received the 2 black skirts I bought over ebay uk!! Anne passed it to Kai Ling, who passed to Shereen, who passed to me.... I immediately wear one of the skirts on Monday!! So glad it could be worn as maternity skirt! And after labour I can still wear it with tops = breastfeeding friendly! Double win!
At night, Joshua finally helped me to load into my phone the worship songs that Anne selected for me. :) It's important to have some worship songs in my phone... I thank God I had them with me in my phone during my 29 hours labour with Jasmine. :)
Monday 19th October, Joshua took MC again due to bad coughing. He managed to help me collect the supernatural childbirth prayer from Klinik Kecheeriaan! Finally!! I also have packed some simple t-shirts and pyjamas pants to wear in hospital.. as an alternative to the hospital gown. Hehe.
In the past 2 weeks, Joshua has initiated family prayer every night after Jasmine brush teeth, mainly for baby Jasper. :) When we mentioned we pray for 弟弟, Jasmine points to my stomach. :)
These 2 weeks we are also in discussion on buying a package of confinement food delivery. Reason being my mum was down with flu and saw blood in her coughs during the 1 week stay with us, taking care of Jasmine (28th Sept to 2nd October). She told my brother she might be too old for Jasper, and for my confinement month. I immediately know we cannot let her cook all my confinement food. And I also know I won't want to hire a confinement lady to stay with us because 1, we have no room for her and 2, I won't be able to enjoy myself with an outsider in the house. Searched online and found 3 contacts, contacted all, 1 does not cover Subang Jaya, 1 aunty is already booked for confinement, left 1... CCM (Confinement Care Malaysia) is charging RM3088 for 28 days confinement food delivery. They deliver at 1pm everyday : 1 soup, 2 meat, 1 vege and 1.5L red dates drinks to be consumed over lunch & dinner. Sounds really overpriced at RM3088 but we are really left with no options.
These are sample photos I received from the agent, she said actual food of course will look uglier. These are home-cooked by one aunty but I have selected the confinement care centre package which is RM300 cheaper (main reason because the aunty will be on 1 week leave starting dec which is too close to my EDD).
I will need to borrow from someone a thermal pot like this and buy 2 water container for the 1.5L red dates drinks. I believe it will be more comforting to provide my own tiffin containers, soup pot and water containers...
We think my mum will still be cooking breakfast and other add on dishes... which would be much less tiring. :) So am going to pay deposit next week for sure!! Pray that they serve good food in great portion!! :D
I have also managed to booked maids to come to our house every Monday 6.30pm starting from 26th October onwards. :) My plan is to have maids clean the house weekly during confinement... and after that continues on because handling 2 kiddos would not be easy... I rather pay a little more to have the house cleaned.. to keep me sane. :) But right after booking, I felt pressured at the same time. Like I must spend that RM60 every Monday. :( I hope I made the right move here!!
For the weekly bump photos, this was me at week 32 on October 11th
So now the to do for Jasper are left with :-
(1) wash and sun dry Jasper hospital clothes once haze is clear. WHEN??
(2) Joshua to test out baby carrier in Forte.. Jasper's first ride home - maybe this weekend :)
Other to do non-related to Jasper but good to settle before his arrival :-
(1) Print 25 4R photos with Groupon voucher
(2) Photobook 2015 until August / September, I have only started on January.....
(3) NSKP GST filing by 30th October... I got to settle this before I focus on photobook -_-
So much to do yet so little time... we are determined to train Jasmine to sleep by 10pm instead of after 11pm so that we still have some time to settle some computer works before we sleep too.
Random request to eat something different, like a buttery pie.. for dinner. :) I really need to start pampering myself... thinking when should I find time to colour my nails...
