28th May to 3rd June. A very quiet week. I'm so busy at work that I leave office at 8.30pm almost everyday.. and Joshua is busy quitting his job, wrapping up some video projects while juggling to ensure everything in our house is going well.
Monday, all 7 window frames has arrived. :) Joshua paid RM2700, as 50% payment. He didn't notice they overcharged RM300 -_- anyway it's ok, we highlighted to them and they will issue us a revised bill.
The workers have started laying floor tiles in bathrooms. What do you think?? This is the shared bathroom. :)
Tuesday, Joshua paid RM2k to electrician. Guess what the pest control has called to ask for the RM3k payment. :( Tight tight tight, tight in cashflow! Joshua took a lot of photos of the walls just so we keep a copy of pictures where we can see which part behind the wall has wires. Just in case we plan to hang pictures, drilling nails to the wall etc, it's important not to drill into any pipe or wires or else we literally have to pay for it! :)
Wednesday, it rained in the morning so none of the contractors came to work.
Thursday, Ah Hoong and workers didn't come to work still. Only the electricians were there. They started plastering the walls, the parts they drilled to conceal wires. I hope they do a good job plastering those walls..... Our cousin was supposed to come to confirm final measurement of gate and fence, but because Ah Hoong didn't turn up, he also didn't turn up. :(
Friday, no one came to work. :(
Saturday, again, none came to work because it's a public holiday...
Sunday, it is not their working day. We made appointment with our cousin to finalise measurement on gate & fences... also cousin did pointed some stuffs we need to confirm with the contractors.
My aunty, uncle and little nephew Derrick was with us too. :) We measured the gate and discussed about the simple design of the gate.
It was a very hot and humid day...
Then we went to the back, took measurement of the fence and talked about awing. Initially planned to have half awning but more practically if we share the steel column of the fence, we should go with full awning.
I don't fancy not having enough sunlight at the back of the house, so we most probably will have transparent awning in certain area, for clothes drying and maybe some potted plants. :)
We went upstairs to check on the work and also discussed about what to do with the leaking problems at the roof. It's been an ongoing problem since years ago and much effort was put to rectify it but still.. leaking is still unsolved. That explained my ugly face. :P
We have decided if Ah Hoong is charging us a lot to fix it, we will just leave it as it is, paint a coat of water proof paint, which should solve the problem for a while and we shall see how..
Our back bathroom is almost completed. The white tiles really helped made the space look more spacious. :D And yeayyy that's me demonstrating using the toilet bowl! :D :D

Really pray that this coming week will have better progress. We have more questions to ask and pray that we can fix appointment with Ah Hoong after work hours because Joshua is not able to meet him in morning. Pray that electrician will do a good job and complete the works faster for Ah Hoong's workers to finalise their work as well. We're still pressing to move in by July. Pray for us! Appreciate your prayers! :)
