Notice my mum has a mole on the skin above her lips? :D
It wasn't that size when she was young.
She was in primary school when one of her classmates, a boy, made fun of her mole by calling her "Ngo Mey black dot, Ngo Mey black dot..." in class. He was sitting right opposite her in class, the sitting arrangment was 6 wooden tables in a group, rectangle form. She became very self conscious after this boy call her "Black Dot" as she already didn't like the mole.. hmmmm.........
One day, she was at home, she picked up a pair of scissors, in front of the mirror... she... CUT off the mole!

Of course there were BLEEDING, and there were PAIN. She applied something I believe was a cleansing solution to the wound... and then apply some baby powder over it.
I'm not sure whether anyone in the house realised the change on her face?
After the wound healed, the new skin grew and WOW... she loved her new clear skin! No more mole! :D
She was very happy!

No more Ngo Mey Black Dot! :D
Few days later... she discovered that the new skin slowly turned brown..and something under her skin started to harden and growing bigger & bigger. The brown.. slowly became darker brown.. and then black. A new mole has formed. Not just new, but larger than before!
How could that have happened?

She thought she had said an eternal goodbye to the mole but a bigger one came back to haunt her! She knew she had triggered the root of the mole, inflamed the growth by cutting off the smaller mole.. she regretted but there were nothing she could do. She obviously dare not cut again, so she has been wearing the big mole all these years. :) Sometimes, there would be small tiny hair grown on the mole, she will just pull it out with her bare hands.. it's quite funny seeing her do that! :D
In London, during her nursing days, a patient called her "Full Stop Ling". :D
Even with that mole, no doubt she's still a beauty. :)

Having said that, she would still prefer herself without that giant mole. When she have photos taken at the photography studio, she would request the photographer to remove the mole from her photo. :D Some of her photos during her younger days in Ayer Tawar, Setiawan, was what we called, mole-less! :D
You won't believe how many guys were after her when she was in Cyma College Penang, nursing school and then law school in London... my very blessed daddy managed to win her heart! ;)

This is mum putting down my veil on my wedding morning. :) You can't really spot the mole in pictures like these. :D She's still a beauty at this age... :)

Her at chapel, paying attention to Pastor Sandra's message. I know she would want Jesus in her life soon! God's timing. ;)

Like she said, after so many years, she sometimes forgotten about the mole on her face.
She told us about this mole story since we were young, and advised us not to do anything like that. Among all my siblings, I am the one with the most moles on my face. Some of those only developed in my 20s! :( Anne calls me mole-loi in Cantonese(meaning mole girl). I have one on my nose, but over the years the colour has lighten, it's now light brown and it's flat mole, so you won't notice it until I mention it. ;) However, this "FULL STOP LING" story shall be told to my kids and even grandkids.. just in case they were teased in school... and do anything that they will regret. :P
